Lovely location, friendly staff and reasonably priced food. The premises itself would benefit from some updating.

This beautiful pub adjacent to the River Ouse allows for the weary traveller to sit back, relax or else take a quiet walk along the ambling lanes close by: to soak up the sounds of the birdsong which is prolific to the ear, as they make their homes amongst the well known Fens. The hotel aspect to this popular family-oriented pub is one of generous hospitality. The offer from staff to settle you in with your suitcases and bags was a very welcoming and kind gesture. The hotelier Jacqui makes you feel at ease, well fed and restored at the end of a day. Her staff are ALL hard working from preparing the meals that they serve, to pulling the pints for you to sup. The pub glitters with twinkly lights set against the historical background of a lady called Juliet. Old fireplaces and oak beams give this public house a real feel to its authenticity. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean, with refreshments and warmth in each bedroom. The kindness shown to single travellers is very reassuring. You feel informed and made to feel very comfortable by the offering of a quiet table to sit at to enjoy your meal. Staff such a Rowan, Logan and Shannon are on hand to ensure your stay is a smooth and as enjoyable as possible. Thank you ALL. 🙏
