Days Inn by Wyndham Lafayette Scott

The 1st floor was being renovated, & we didn't know it. We had asked for a room on the 1st floor, so the attendant apologized & said we would have to walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor. We are both in our 70's & were able to traverse the stairs, both up & down, but with luggage it was more difficult. We were only provided with 1 small bar of soap, 1 roll of toilet paper, & no tissues. After requesting more, they were given to us. The cleaning crew did an excellent job, & also provided the extra towels, washcloths, & bath mat we had requested. The mattress was comfortable, but the bathroom & bedroom need updating, even though we were told the 2nd floor had already been updated. It needs new comforters, curtains, etc. The continental breakfast is bare bones, at best. For the price, we didn't get what we were expecting.

Sheets smelled of cigarette smoke, room had several cockroaches, bath fixtures worked but very worn, room card keys did not work in the AM, person on staff could not get room locks to open required manager with key to open locks, continental breakfast at 8:00 am, out of coffee, OJ dispenser empty, person operating front drsk eventually made coffee but no sense of urgency.

They have no hot water or the water temp turned down so low that it's not even body temperature warm they said we have a new water tank so that means it's turned down that low on purpose. They use to have one working ice machine now they have none. The ac heat units filters have holes in them so the units have sucked in so much dust they can't move air. They don't not leave extra tp just the used roll on the spoil. They also charge you a $2 convenience fee on top of your already paid bill.

I couldn’t get access the room with the key with out receiving assistance from the desk clerk due to key card being damaged. When suggesting a new card I was told to just slide it slowly for access (it didn’t work). The rooms air conditioner wouldn’t fully cool the room. The side door was broken and people could come in through that door at will; at any time. Breakfast was nonexistent, and refrigerator was broken inside of room.

The property was clean and the room was adequate size. They advertised breakfast, only continental very limited. No iron in room, toiletries were absent. Bathroom fan very noisy. Sink faucet sprayed water at its base. No elevator. Vending machine was known by the propieter to be broke but no sign on it. Propieter would not refund money lost. Not the quality of Wyndham property

Customer service was very good but we were a little disappointed with the condition of the room. Mainly the bathroom! The outside doors were supposed to lock at 5pm but they were open all night! Also the when checking out there was chocolate all down the hall way.

Hotel was under construction and limited access to amenities

I been using hotels.com for years and this is my first bad review. I will be super honest about it. The staff is very rude, no professional and just bad bad persons. The guys was super rude with me in front of my family. The hotel doesn’t have elevators The key reader never worked, they have to open the door every time we went to our room. The 2 beds are twin or full size but no queen like they advertised it. We found hair in the shower and AC never cool down the room. Please don’t stay here! Just bad people bad service!

My daughter and I were in town for a convention. At first, I was a little skeptical, but this place beat all expectations. The staff were amazing, the hotel and our room were clean and well stocked. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were the best! The linens were fresh and smelled so clean! The only reason I gave 4 stars overall is due to the exterior door that leads to the second floor rooms did not lock as it should have. I was ok with that once realizing that they have cameras at every angle and watch them. We felt safe and comfortable both nights. A plus….the second night a tour bus of teenagers arrived and occupied our entire floor. As teens do, they congregated in the hallways before lights out. The room was so soundproof we heard absolutely no noise from the outside of our room. I would definitely stay here again over any other hotel in the area!

They were remodeling rooms and everyone had to stay on the second floor. They said second floor rooms were already remodeled. NOT! Shower was broke, husband had to fix toilet, ice machine was broke, no cups, and refrigerator made noise all night. For breakfast your choice was Fruit Loops and mini muffins with coffee or orange juice.

The room that was given was dirty and the door was open prior to me swiping the key fab. I reached out to front desk and she immediately rectified the situation and gave me another room that was cleaner, but still had stained bedding and could have been vacuumed.

First room assigned was not cleaned, second room was cleaned but limited lighting and refrigerator was missing a support so wobbled. No kleenexes in slot nor supplied.

The room was old & dingy. I could never connect to the internet. Phone on the nitestand was not working. No Blow Dryer. Continental Breakfast was a joke.. dry ceral, really. And Wyndham has there name linked to this hotel chain 🙄 Apparently when booking thru Expedia to save $$$ on your room they set aside the oldest dingest room for Expedia customers. I did not take pictures but should have.

Not a good place to stay with family. The receptionist was more asleep than awake. The halls smelled like cigarette. We found a spider in our bed. The room smelled like fresh paint. There were roaches in the restroom. TV didn’t work. Finally bit not least! Bed sheets were stained including the pillowcases and pillows. It was gross. Don't recommend staying here! I sire will not.

The pull out couch that my granddaughter was to sleep on was filthy. When we pulled it out there was food crumbs everywhere and the mattress cover hadn’t been changed in a long time. I had to take it off and wipe everything down. It was disgusting. I told the clerk up front when we were checking out about it. I said that the housekeeping staff needs to do a better job. All I got was an apology and he wrote my complaint down.

The room we stayed in was terrible. The pillows need to be changed or thrown away. When you take the pillow cases off, the pillows were dirty and stained. There was a very musty or old smell in the room when you turned the heat/air on. Carpets need to be changed or cleaned. Hallway section by the stairs had old refridgerators stacked and stashed open for the public to see. We could smell the weed someone was smoking a couple of rooms down as well as a few rooms down from where we were at, had their door open the whole night. The only thing I could say that is positive about this place is that the bathroom we had, looked new and refurbished which did not match the room at all. We needed a place to get a couple of hours of sleep and most of the hotels in the area were sold out, so we didn't have a choice or we would have high tailed it out of there. The staff was real nice but the hotel was a real dump. My wife complained when we checked out and she's usually the one that never complains. I would not recommend this place. For$100 for the night, it was a total rip off!!!

Dirty, stinky, sticky, old. Bedcovers were torn in several places, pillows were stained, sink and faucet were not cleaned, found used towel hanging in bathroom, floors were so sticky you could hear it with every step taken. Outlet in vanity was smashed in and unusable. Room smelled stale, smoky. Had to get room key cards exchanged /reprogrammed twice on first night, and one of them stopped working on second day. DO NOT stay here.

front desk was very friendly and helpful. bed was comfortable. clean but worn. room smelled a little musty, no hairdryer or shampoo in room, had to ask for coffee cups in lobby.

The room was nice and clean. The only downfall was the people over us made a lot of noise all night long kept us up.

It was just as we expected for the price we paid. Just needed a place to sleep. Could definitely use some updating.

Very close to I 10 and a nice-a clean, quiet place to rest. Exactly what we were looking for.

We came for Festival International and needed a place to land at night. This was perfect: clean, safe, new mattresses, good pillows, good coffee and a continental breakfast. We loved that it had wood laminate vs carpet, The refrigerator was big enough for all the drinks we brought. 10/10 we’ll stay here again. Zero complaints.

When I arrived, the clerk said he couldn't find my reservation and wanted to charge me directly for the room (at a higher rate) I insisted that I had already paid for the room and after a ten minute search on his computer, he finally found my reservation. The room was OK, but there was no bathmat when I took a shower, and the towels were laid on a rusty rack that had once been chromed but had lost much of its chrome and left rust on the towels. There was no shampoo or conditioner, just watered down soap. I needed to charge my phone and I had to check three outlets to find one that would work. Breakfast consisted of stale muffins.

The property itself is fine. Staff is friendly. However, i booked a suite with 2 beds and a couch. Thats not what i got. They put me in a regular room. When i asked they told me there was no suite available. I booked and paid for a suite. Atill waiting on expedia to refund me the difference from the suite price to the regular room price. Disappointed about breakfast.

Remodeled Ng on first floor. O ly 2 scrawnybtowels for 4 of us. Bed was comfortable, pillows were terrible. Overpriced for the condition. Breakfast was poor, unless you're happy with just coffee and orange juice.

Not so good. Many things broken and unusable. Breakfast terrible. Continental and even that’s generous. Poor representation of actual place. Never again.
