Absolutely disgusting. No smoke detector in our room, garbage in the trash, room was absolutely repulsive after waiting over an hour to check in. Pool was murky and there is no spa even though it’s advertised there is one

Expedia should update the hotels before they post them. The place was a dump. No hot yub at all. No continental breakfast at all. Expedia should reimburst me for such a horrible stay.

So many issues. First, our keys would not work. We had to climb over 2 men setting in the stairway with their stuff. Trash in the hall and on the stairs. After getting to the room, another couple I locked our door and came in. The front desk gave them the same keys as our room. The lock to the door coming into the side of the building was broken. Anyone could walk in. The deadbolt on our room door was broken. Several lights in the room were not working. I went back to the front desk and was told I didn’t need a lock on the door. I just need to flip the little flap lock at the top of the door. I then addressed thelight situation and the clerk told me he could send some lightbulbs with me. I told him that he could send maintenance up to replace them. I went back to the room, got my bags, and left. When I took the keys back to the front desk there were two other couples checking out. They need to Be taken off of Hotels.com or any other site. And we were told the pool and hot tub were no longer in working order. That was the main reason we booked this with our grandkids.

Room definitely needed a deep deep clean. For the proce I was skeptical however decided to give it a go as advertised pool hot tub and free breakfast. They do not have a hot tub pool area was dirty big ladder laying on the side of pool. Indoor pool water ice cold we assumed it would be heated since indoors or atleast the room would be warm unfortunately not the case. Breakfast no longer available. Cathy front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful. Will pay the extra dollars for a nicer hotel for future trips.

Terrible experience! Pool was nasty green and hot tub wasnt operational. Stains in the bed sheets. People at front desk couldnt even understand us when we asked for more towels, cause only 1 large towel in room for showering.

They didnt come see if my room needed cleaned. The pool was cloudy. They had false advertising,there hot tup is shut down. They dont have ice buckets for the ice machine.They had mold on the shower curtains. There chair had black stains on it.they double charged me.They dont have a normal breakfast waiting on an inspection.

There was cockroaches in the bathroom, the heater for the pool had been turned off so my grandkids couldn’t swim, which is why I chose this hotel. I requested towels for 4 people and they only had 1 to give us. Didn’t ask if we wanted our room cleaned the next day.

This room was filthy!! There was something sticky sprayed all over the TV, desk, and mirror. Moved the end table to plug in our phones and found what looked like dried vomit! I was told that the whole place was non-smoking yet I found cigarette ash on the head board & the sheets wreaked of stale smoke.

Place is a $h!t hole! Bathroom had dirt/grass all over the floor, front panel of the vanity was rotted and pulled away, hole in the all with cables coming out, stained chair, 3 pillows for a king bed, and plastic on box springs had dirt on it! No lamp shade on lamp, mold on walls along with who knows what else it was.Place stunk the minute we walked in and did NOT feel safe at all! RUN don’t walk from this place

Having to have staff come up and restart tv remote twice. Then in new room had a spider appear in the sink, then the side door had no lock mechnicism, made 1 feel unsafe. This i'm afraid is not a place i'll be returning too next year, also has 1 with a physical condition, i'm limited to non weight bearing on q leg, yet no elevator access. Lastly, i see a bar that I thought would have a breakfast, to which there wasn't. All i was given is a sack we ith a nutrition bar, apple, and chocolate chip mini muffins. Sorry, but being type 1 diabetic, that is not worth my energy level, along with insulin, causing me to ho low. So get this place ship

I think I stayed at this particular days in about 3 years ago. While the building is in decent shape and the layout is the same, it has gone downhill because of the management. When I walked in the front door it was fine but it just looked older, if you've ever been in motels and hotels you understand the difference between outdated and older and this just felt older. The staff was okay, they were very accommodating and helpful. When I went to my room, the door lock worked I walked in the place it seemed very sparse but that's okay. What I didn't like, was the fact that the air conditioning did not work. That was fine because I had to go out anyway and since I didn't leave anything in the room I could go ahead and just tell them at the front desk and they could go in fix it and come back later. While I was standing over the air conditioning system, I noticed my foot was sliding, yes sliding! I figured it was a fluke. I was dead wrong! I ended up walking around different parts of the flooring and I could slide all over in the room. Very strange. I believe it is because they have mopped it with something like Pine-Sol that leaves a residue and that's all they do is mop and mop and mop as a quick mop to get the floor clean for the next people, but all they're doing at this point is making it slippery. The staff didn't seem to care.

The room reminded me of a crack house. Lights were out and it was dark. Bathroom sink was moldy and had burns around the countertop. Shower curtain rod was broken. Smoke detector had a plastic bag taped over it. Hole on bed comforter. Cracks on wall and ceiling. We left and didn't stay.

The employees at check in and out were very polite. The remote for the TV did not work. It would not change any channels. I tried to attending employee on 11/23/24 at 8:20PM However they were no where to be found. While I was at lobby until 8:30, I witnessed two people come inside that wanted rooms. Nobody was there to help them.

Upon Arriving There was a lady who to be honest looked very shady (on drugs or drunk) sitting on a bench in front of the entry to the office. She had a Mohawk hair due and looked very disheveled. My initial though was she was a homeless and just hanging out there. Check in went okay. The room was on the bottom floor next to the building entry, and every time some one came in the door it would slam shut and this went on all night. I barley slept at all. The first bed we went to get into had stains all over the sheets and crumbs in the bed. Then the next morning I went down to get My fiancé and my self some breakfast from the free continental breakfast. which by the way was one of the only reasons we choose to stay there. To My surprise the lobby was empty and the only person there was the lady with the Mohawk. and she was working now in the same disheveled outfit she was in from the night before. and she told me that the breakfast was behind the desk. to witch she handed me a bag with a Nutra grain bar, and apple, and a child's caprisun drink in it. I asked if that was really it and she said yes. I then asked her for a second one for my fiancé. At which point as she looked around me she asked in a suspicious tone where she was. and I said she was waiting in the truck. She the asked me what room I was in and then proceeded to check my file. at which point she said oh there were two checking in. At which point I lost it. I barked back Are you kidding me. The worst stay ever!

Hotel was fine for the price. The hallways had a heavy smell of cigarette and weed smoke. Lots of full trash can from rooms in the hallway. The actual Room was fine. No carpet. They did put down laminate floors that are a little uneven but again for the price it was fine, bed was comfortable. My biggest issue was the free breakfast. All they offered was 2 kinds of dry cereal.

I had a reservation for several weeks and even completed early check in. When I arrived, my room had been given away and the man at the desk was rude, unfriendly and not helpful at all. We had to visit 3 other hotels at 12:30 am to find another room that cost us $160.00 more than my room at Days Inn. I am still waiting for my refund from the hotel that I was told would be processed in a few days. It has now been 9 days since I was told that I would receive a refund. I would never recommend this Days Inn to anyone, and we will not be staying there or making a reservation at the Topeka Days inn ever again!!!!!

It smelled like weed in the lobby. Our room wasn’t ready at 7pm when we arrived for check in. Loose dogs in lobby. Initially gaslit by the owner then acknowledged “mistakes” while telling me I should’ve been patient. Never got that refund. Horrible customer service.

The night shift lady with the dogs was INCREDIBLE! So kind and helpful. Very guest friendly. The morning shift lady was horrendous! Came down to get breakfast for my kids and she was beyond rude to me and my daughter. Didn’t even acknowledge we were standing there and got upset I asked for a couple more bags for my other kids (1per kid). She acted as tho I was interrupting her show. I will never consider this hotel again because of her. But 10/10 recommend the night shift lady.

The employees at check in and out were very polite. The remote for the TV did not work. It would not change any channels. I tried to attending employee on 11/23/24 at 8:20PM However they were no where to be found. While I was at lobby until 8:30, I witnessed two people come inside that wanted rooms. Nobody was there to help them.

While we were there two women got into a verbal confrontation and the police had to be called. They were yelling profanity at each other in the hall way for a long time and the police were called. One got arrested. There were a lot of shady characters hanging out there and there appears to be prostitution or human trafficking going on. The breakfast consists of a bag with a tiny muffin, breakfast bar, an apple, and a juice pack. The coffee was horrible and one day there was no cream. They only have powder cream. Part of the hotel also smelled like urine. Do not recommend this hotel especially if you have a family. Unsafe. Dirty. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

It showed it had a hot tub on the website, which was being removed. There was only a grab and go bag for breakfast and that was definitely not what was advertised. The staff was very friendly and helpful! But we saw a man climbing into one of the rooms through a window on the morning we were leaving. Glad we didn’t see that the evening before!!!

The hotel was a bit run down, but it was comfortable. The lady at the front desk was so very sweet! She learned my name and addressed me as such the entire stay. Not the best area. It gave me a decent place to stay for the night.

Hard to find, no outside lighting. Bedding and towels were stained. It was no smoking facility but it smelled like smoke and other illegal substance. Needs a better smoking area away from entrances. Reservation was cancelled. Bathroom ceiling was coming off and no ventilation in bathroom. The water was either hot or cold no in-between. Ceiling was falling down. Would not recommend. Pictures on website are not updated.

Unfortunately, our room had no bath towels, no shampoo or soap and no hot water. No shower for us because the water was at most lukewarm, plus the missing towels issue. The bedspread smelled like vinegar. The complimentary breakfast from 6:00-9:00 was empty and dark at 6:30.

This place was horrible. I’ve never seen any like it. Dirty, not all our rooms had TVs, waited for hours to check in, no breakfast, the list goes on. There was loud music and the weed smell was so thick, we reported it but she said there was nothing she could do. We searched all over Topeka for rooms at a different hotel and couldn’t find any, it was graduation weekend. We were there with family for our daughter’s graduation or we would not have stayed. I have never written a negative review because no place is perfect and things happened, but this was a whole other level of horrible. Sleep in your car if you have to!

The hotel’s best days are behind it, but I got it for the indoor pool and the complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately there wasn’t any breakfast. Either the description for the property needs to be changed or the person didn’t make it in to set up the food and didn’t inform anyone. Got a good nights sleep after time in the pool, so it worked out in the end!
