Staff was nice beds were comfortable. Bathroom floor was dirty mirror was broken and taped over. It took a very long time for the room to cool off. But the filter was filthy. I’m sure that was part of the problem. Hot tub was broken swimming pool was green and very hot . Chairs in the swimming area were broken . Needed to be updated. when I checked in, I wish I would’ve known about the pool area and hot tub. I ask and all they said was it was open.

They don’t overcharge for pets! It’s $25 a night for 2. They are short staffed so they don’t clean your room if you stay more than one night. Just towels. Made me wonder if they clean it well in between. Bed is comfy. Bathroom sink doesn’t drain and tub shower is very slippery. Room AC is old and moldy smelling. It’s Texas but a filter would help. Room has wear but overall nice. 3rd floor ice maker is scary but works great. The soda machine was empty & unplugged and I assume broken. There are dead bugs in the room with the ice. Direct TV is great but TV is quite small and a cheap brand. Remote doesn’t work well from the bed. The entire building vibrates from bathroom fans and ac units. I could feel it on the floor and in the bed. Strange sensation gave me motion sickness. Staff at desk was very nice and accommodating. Overall a solid 8 but could use some maintenance and upgrades.

Mold growing in bathroom. Hair left in shower from previous guest, so it wasn’t clean properly. Wood rotting in room and bathroom. Mold growing on light switches. Entire hotel smelled damp and musty, like water damage had happen. Breakfast was nasty and smelt. Will never stay here again.

I’ve stayed here twice in the last year and been pleased. This year it’s clear maintenance and housekeeping is not a concern. Halls were dirty and unvacummed the duration of our stay. The room was damp and smelled moldy/musty, most of the tiles in the bathroom were cracked, baseboards were broken, and there was mold in the shower corners. We had friends stay also and their rooms were also damp and smelled like mold. I was definitely girly disappointed and will not return.

The hotel was dated. It looks like they attempted to make some improvements with paint, but there is old scuffed furniture, the bathtub corners were moldy looking and our shower head was also not working properly. The rooms are small and the beds are very tall, but comfortable. Just thought I’d make not of that for those that may need to hop up. There was some trash under our bed that had not been vacuumed or picked up. The thing that would keep me from coming back is the moldy wet smell. It was very strong. If you can, I’d pay a little more to stay in another hotel in the area. Another $20-30 would get you in a newer building. It was fine for us as we were passing through and only sleeping for about 6 hours. Breakfast was ok and staff was friendly.

We checked in after a very long day of driving and wanted to just relax and watch tv. However, the tv did not work. I went down to the front desk to let someone know and had to wait there for about 15 minutes. She offered to come to our room but my husband was taking a shower so I just asked how to troubleshoot it myself. We eventually got it to come on but then the remote wouldn't work to change channels or anything. The worst part of our stay is the dirtiness of the hotel. Yikes.

The king size bed (Room 414) was very uncomfortable. The mattress seemed old and hard, not firm. The pillows were old and had knots inside. They were very worn, flat and very uncomfortable. We have stayed here before and had a two queen size beds and they were very comfortable and we had plenty of nice pillows which is why we chose here again. The location here is excellent. If I stay again, I will refuse to sleep on the same type of bed. Everything was great.

TV remote was missing. Phone in room was non-functional. Noisy group of many people talking loudly and banging against adjacent wall in room next door and people shouting loudly to each other in the hall. Lasted until 2:00 am and resumed at 5:00 am. Have stayed here numerous times in the past and never had these problems. Hopefully this location isn't becoming a "party" hotel.

The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were average for this type of hotel. The mattresses and pillows were fine. There was more than a little damage to the walls and fixtures in the bathroom and there was a musty odor that was not pleasant. In general, it was clean and the breakfast was better than average. I'd stay again.

The property was perfect for my needs...in late in the day and out early the next. For a bed to sleep in, it was great. The property itself has seen better days....it is well kept so it's not a current ownership issue, I think it's more just an over time use issue. The room I got had a bit of a mildew smell that somewhat went away after running the A/C for a while. It stuck around as I noticed some mild allergy issues crop up. Not enough to change rooms, but it was there. Staff was super friendly and helpful and I'm sure they would have changed my room had I asked. The building construction seemed different than most other hotels. I was able to hear distinct footsteps from the room above, which is usually not the case. It almost sounded like a wood framed building. That was an off/on annoyance overnight. The bed was comfortable and slept well. The other furniture in the room was past prime, but served its purpose. The other clientele were interesting. There seemed to be a fair share of truckers passing through and the property seems to be VERY pet friendly. I saw a lot of people with small dogs and could hear yapping from behind other room doors. Wasn't a direct issue, but I could see that presenting an issue with the rooms. Overall a 3/5. I would probably choose a different property if I ever had need to stay in the same area again, but I'm not going to give an overall bad review.

It's a good little hotel, the elevator was broken when we arrived but I got a call before hand warning me in advance. They did have it up and running after about two hours of us being there. The beds were a little hard but really comfortable, the rooms are a little small but the bathroom is spacious.

Although the building is showing its age, the staff does an excellent job in maintaining, cleaning and ensuring your stay is great. We were greeted with smiles and good humor, our room was spotless and the morning breakfast was well stocked throughout. The checkout clerk was as friendly as the clerk from the night before. We never saw a frown and every employee we dealt with was friendly and serviceable. We will stay here again.

Arrived over an hour past check-in time, but unfortunately the first 2 rooms we were assigned weren’t cleaned yet. The front desk clerk caught the first one before we went up, the second one we walked into a dirty room. The desk staff was apologetic and super helpful and friendly.

The stay wasn't so bad, the workers were polite and helpful and one remembered my name. On the last day, we paid for the late checkout, but apparently another worker was not notified. She called us and told us that we had missed checkout but we informed her we paid for the extra time. She apologized, but about thirty minutes later, we heard the door rattling and shaking nonstop. It was very loud and disruptive and a bit jarring. I opened the door to find the same lady with a bit of an attitude telling us that checkout was an hour ago. I informed her again that we paid for a later check out, and she was very embarrassed. I told her it was fine, but it was a bit weird that instead of knocking on the door politely, she would just shake the door handle and scare us like that. Kinda felt like we wasted our money on the later checkout.

The man who worked at the front desk in the morning of the 13th, he had glasses and a beard, told me to leash my dog and when I apologized and said I would hold him still by the collar because I forgot he screamed at me and threatened to call police. I’ve never felt more disrespected and have never been kicked out of a hotel in my life. I stay at la quinta and give my business all the time and it was a demoralizing experience.

The property is nice there is no noise because it is surrounded by countyside. There is a walmart near by and restaurant 2 miles away. The hotel is right off I20 so great location for a quick stop when taking trips.

Staff was very kind. Check-in was quick. King suite room was big enough for two pack-n-plays and a wagon stroller. Breakfast was decent and had lots of options (texas waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, english muffins, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, etc).
