The room was very nice and clean. Offered plenty of options if you want to cook while you stay there. Our room didnt have a view of the pond but many would have a nice view. Pond is large with a trail to walk around it. I would suggest for them to put an fountain or something in it to move the water a little. Saw some guest fishing the pond and they said they caught some bass. Location was great to go to different outdoor sites around the area. The only thing i would have liked was breakfast available in the mornings but i believe they are working on that near the office now. So until that is finished i highly recomment the butcher shop/store across the street for amazing breakfast sandwiches

Staff was friendly and helpful, beautiful property and close to trails for Ohiopyle. We will definitely be staying there again when we have more time to explore they property more with their fire pits and gazebo’s at the on property lake

This was quite a lovely find. We were headed to Fallingwater which was only 20 minutes away. We had a private deck overlooking the pond. One word of caution. The Lodge was still under construction so no kitchen ergo no breakfast. I guess this is only a B not B&B. However, lots of food and breakfast choices in the area. The rooms must have been recently renovated and there were a few unfinished items, probably part of someone's punch list. Overall, reasonably priced and a great find.

Reasonably price hotel. Looks very nice from outside, in a wooded site near a pond. Inside the rooms are a bit tight and dated. The AC worked great. The bed was comfortable. There is no breakfast - I think there were remodeling that area.

Lovely stay, the new owners are doing upgrades on the property, so there are some potholes and other construction projects, but the room was comfortable, and there was a huge deck off the room facing the lake which was lovely.

They have done a great job renovating the exterior of the buildings, but the interior fell short. The AC unit was loud, the doors and sliding glass door were old and damaged, the tv stand was loose and wobbly, The driveway up to the property has big potholes.

This is an older motel that has been updated in all the right ways - new comfortable mattress, big mumfy pillows, crisp bright linens, fluffy towels, cute updated kitchenette with breakfast bar. The water was hot and the AC was cold. Cute patio with table and chairs and a view of the lake. The distance from the road muted the road noise. There’s certainly no food or drink but there are some good little places close by. Better than I expected!!

The staff at the lodge was amazing! We had several issues, but they resolved each issue almost immediately. Our room had a kitchenette. We found it to be very well equipped. My only note of concern was that the shades of the room were not blackout shades. We woke up very early with the sun. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location if you are hiking or biking the trails at Ohiopyle. Only 20 mins. from downtown Ohiopyle trail/s starting point. The rooms were recently remodeled and have all the modern amenities. New TVs, refrigerators, microwaves. All rooms have hardwood/composite flooring. The beds were comfortable and the room/bathroom were squeaky clean. The only issue we had was low water pressure in the shower. Other than that, our stay was perfect. We would definitely stay again.

We had a room with the lake view and it was beautiful. The room was very clean. We had an issue with our tv later in the evening and they immediately sent someone to look at it & fixed the issue. The only issue we had was there was no soap in the room. I bring my own, but my other half doesn't. Other than that that it was perfect for our little get away.

The room they gave me was already occupied. So I walked into a dirty room. They didn’t have anything but a dirty small handicap room left. It was very outdated. Not very clean. Smelled like an old attic. Never again.

The setting was beautiful,the room was like a little cabin with a nice desk attached. I arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled check-in time as I came into the office the first thing the receptionist said to me was “ check-in isn’t until 3pm” . There was no welcome or we are happy to have you here. We were able to check-in “early “ because our room was ready. I had stayed in 5 different hotels this week and they were so welcoming and accommodating that I was surprised at the reception I received

I would Not recommend The Lodge at Chalk Hill NOR Hotels.com NOR Expedia for booking your trip. Had an emergency and had to cut my stay from 3 nights to 1, but The Lodge at Chalk Hill and Hotels.com and Expedia to this point are REFUSING to refund 2 nights. I am a senior citizen on a limited budget and find in apprehensible these folks insist on taking THREE TIMES what is due them “based on a policy.” Steer clear of The Lodge at Chalk Hill as well as Expedia and Hotels.com because tgey only want your money and could not care less about you otherwise!

We planned to arrive at 1am, so Alex sent us a lockbox combo for the key. This was the fastest check-in I have ever experienced, and we were able to go straight to bed! If you like to sleep with white noise this is as good as it gets. Air conditioning is strong and steady, not on/off all night like most hotels. Bathroom fan can stay on without the light as well. If this sounds strange to you I understand! But if you get it, you get it. Will definitely stay in this cozy hotel again.

The property is newly renovated, easily accessible, and great price point. The staff is super friendly. I accidentally left behind a book and earrings and they shipped them back to me the same day I had left. Cant wait to see what the conference center looks like once completed!

Not much around the area and things close early but many pros including walking distant to food, distillery, and winery. The property is serene and appreciate it being pet friendly. 15 minutes from Ohiopyle and minutes from Timber Run amphitheater. We'll definitely be back after further renovations are complete.

Nice, clean rooms with decks and outdoor space for relaxing. Stayed here last fall when visiting Fallingwater and returned today to tour Kentuck Knob. Convenient to both locations and very reasonable price. Be advised there are very limited food options in the area.

This is a great location, good property grounds. It’s clear the owners care about the place! We will be back. The only negative is that it would have been nice to have the coffee on earlier! Route 40 can be a bit noisy, but it wasn’t that bad.

It was a beautiful setting. I wish the weather had been warmer so we could use the deck. The room was very nice and clean. The furnishings were up to date. The beds were comfy and we rested well. Check in was easy. I wish there were more dining options nearby. The location was easy to find (National Rd).

It is amazing what the new owners are doing with this property. We are anxiously awaiting the complete renovations but what they have done so far is great. Still no complementary breakfast available but coffee in the rooms. Beds are comfortable, shower is great, view of the lake is just beautiful. Staff is friendly and very accommodating.
