La Quinta by Wyndham Lexington Park - Patuxent

When we arrived I was informed that the pool was out of order. When asked when it would be ready I was told hopefully tomorrow since the person was supposed to come today but didn’t show and said he would come tomorrow. Next day I asked the same guy at the front desk and was told the same story. I said yes you said that yesterday and that I was frustrated that they couldn’t call ahead of time and tell me that the pool was out of order since I had kids and we were planning on swimming since it’s the summer. When I asked how long it would take to fix he said he was unsure because it’s a big job and probably would be fixed for a couple of days. I said how upset I was about this and if they were honest about this I would have booked somewhere else. Aside from this housekeeping is not daily as stated but only once every 4 days. So when we asked on the third day about someone cleaning the room they were not very nice and told us at that time. Not happy at all. Would not recommend.

The bathroom faucet was loose even though it was new. The exhaust vent in the ceiling in the bathroom was very, very dirty. Even though the facility was being remodeled, the elevator was out of order and the steps has loose stair tread that are loose where someone could trip and fall.

Hotel under construction, Pool closed, cigarette butts every where outside..

They are renovating so the updated parts of the hotel are nice. Room was clean though the face on the AC unit was falling off and loud. Breakfast was standard fair but good. Biggest issue is parking, there's not a lot and it's not helped by the construction.

We actually chose the property because of the pool and when we got there the pool was closed. We asked why and they said something about parts for it. If we would have known we would have chosen another property. There was also a leak in the lobby and waited for awhile just to check in also the WiFi didn’t work and there was no HBO as advertised. We also had to go and get our own towels

The hotel was nice and clean. The only problem was that the pool was out of order. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.

Our room was renovated and was upgraded and we appreciated that. We booked this for the pool and the pool is not operational. The first day and second day there was candy crushed on the floor outside our room and was not vacuumed up until late that evening. When we got back the first night, there was definitely someone smoking weed in their room and it ventured into our room. The second day was better. Staff was very kind!

The property was great for the breakfast provided, but the hotel was doing renovation and on the day of checkout the elevator was out of service.

With the renovation/construction, the parking immediately near the front entrance was limited

The staff here were wonderful but the room was terribly dirty. The floors were sticky and had dirt all over. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke. My daughter even killed a cockroach running across the floor. There were rust and just plain gunk trails around the bathroom tub and door. We were disappointed. The breakfast was good though and they were in the middle of renovations so the noise was expected.

I was looking forward to seeing the hotel after the remodel. The lobby was nicely decorated. The rooms were nicely decorated, and the carpet was replaced for laminate. I was, however, disappointed in the housekeeping. Upon arrival to my room, there was a feminine maxi pad floating in the toilet which made me question if the toilet was even cleaned from the last guest. It was going to take 15-20 minutes for housekeeping to address this so I was moved to another room. There were dirty linens outside each room that had been cleaned that day - this was still at 7pm when I checked in. The dirty linens were still there then I checked out at 9am. Hopefully, management can get a handle on this and clean up before guest start checking in at 3pm - definitely a disappointment!

Bugs, dirty in bathroom

Easy check in and check out room was kind of clean. The floors were dirty with debris and There was something sticky by the air conditioning unit, The bathroom had a wash cloth that was left over the shower curtain and We think the sink was what smelled like sewage. We went to get 2 towels and there was only one reg towel clean and the guy gave me a few hand towels to help! Also we stayed on the 1st floor and they just could not keep the hallway clean there’s was something everytime we came to and from the room! Breakfast was nice!

We stayed here for one night due to being broken down in the area and waiting for our car to be repaired. The cable did not work or the WiFi. We only got about 7 “antenna” type channels. The front lobby had buckets everywhere from leaking water. The AC in our room was barely working and it was over 95 outside. We were told that the rooms were hot because it was hot outside and that the WiFi was not working today. Dog poop was all over the hotel. In the hallways and coming from the pool when you first walked in. The only elevator had dog poop all over the floor which we notified when we went downstairs around 6pm and it was still not cleaned up when we checked out. When the front desk woman was notified that morning she replied “yeah housekeeping just got here and they’ll get to it.” No urgency to clean up the elevator even after being told it has been there all night.

The room was nice except there was an ant infestation also there was hair in the shower and bathroom floor. I had to go to Walmart and get cleaning supplies to clean it. I took a video of ants but it won’t let me upload it

It was clean, comfortable and great value.

Room was clean. Property has been remodeled within the past year. Desk clerk was pleasant.

Very clean and the staff was kind! Definitely will stay there again

The room we stayed in was not clean. The shower was starting to overflow. It would not drain. I had to pull the drain cover up and remove the wad of hair that was clogging the drain. Thoroughly disgusting. Also, the free breakfast was empty 30 minutes before the breakfast time frame expired. Spilled food stayed on the floor and was tracked throughout the room. The restroom in the lobby stunk and was dirty.

The smoke detector would go off with a hot shower. Loud neighbors, slamming doors nearby. Young adults partying in the parking lot late at night. The room was fine its just the other customers being obnoxious and inconsiderate

The bed was terrible. Very hard. Pillows were uncomfortable.

We had a nice stay , several outlets didn’t work .No light on entrance to room.

Positives: loved the hotel, very clean, bed was comfortable, staff was nice, breakfast was good-Allen who provided breakfast each morning was awesome, friendly and a hard worker. Negative: you have to sign up on an app to watch t.v. The app is not free but we got around that by signing up for a free trial. Way too much work and hassle to be able to watch some t,v.

The free hot breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the staff friendly. The hotel appeared to have been recently rennovated, so it was like staying in a new hotel. We were given a welcome gift and sent a welcome email before arriving.

Clean room and good breakfast but the Wi-Fi did not work on the third floor

The breakfast was excellent each morning. The room was large, and the beds were comfortable. My only reason for the poorer rating was the fact that the toilet seat in the bathroom was very loose and uncomfortable to use, and the maintenance person was not available on the weekend. Also, the chair at the desk was broken and unusable. Both of these issues should have been noticed by the cleaning staff before we were given the room

In spite of extensive room upgrades in recent years, this La Quinta has some problems. WiFi is very poor, but that could be because of room location, as far from lobby as you could get. Rear parking lot seems to be where pet owners walk their dogs and leave poop on the ground, so the odor there can be pretty rank, and sometimes wafts through the a/c. On the good side, breakfast is good and well tended. Location is convenient.

Very comfortable bed (King room), love the laminate flooring and BRAVO for USB outlets in accessible places. A/C worked well. Staff all very friendly and helpful, in person or on the phone. GREAT walking trail behind the hotel for our dog, including a convenient bag/disposal station. Breakfast was good, coffee just adequate. Building slightly ragged in some public areas but it's just cosmetic, they have invested where it counts! Would love to see a lighted mirror in the rooms for applying makeup. Would stay again.

The stay was was good, the staff at reception was courteous and even offered a welcome kit. The only part I didn't like was one of the staff opened the door and barged inside my room at exactly 11:00 AM and instructed me that I should checkout right away. That find discourteous and very intrusive.

Farhan is awesome (EVERY STAFF MEMBER IS) we stayed more than 5 times and LOVED every one of them they even advanced breakfast so swimming kids could eat! Breakfast (skinny - i GOTTA learn his name) guy is awesome guy makes that place run like a CLOCK - WOKOHOLIC!

I arrived at 16:35 on Saturday. Prior to my arrival, I received text message asking me to fill forms and pay deposit online, and I did so before driving to the hotel. However, there are many guests waiting and only one staff member working at the check-in desk, and I had to wait 25min before being serviced. Apparently the hotel is hosting "SUAS 2025" race teams. Given the known high demand, shouldn't they schedule more staff members?

We booked two rooms at this hotel for a business trip, confirming our reservation days in advance. Upon arrival at 5 pm, instead of a warm welcome, we were abruptly informed that our rooms were unavailable and were reassigned to a motel two blocks away. No satisfactory explanation was provided initially, and we were assured that the alternative accommodation was comparable in quality. This was far from the truth. The motel we were directed to was not only a downgrade but also a concerning environment, complete with disturbances in the parking lot. The motel's reception was unwelcoming, and the staff members were unprofessional and difficult to communicate with. The room conditions were deplorable: offensive odors, malfunctioning lights, stained curtains, and an unsafe and dingy atmosphere. After this unacceptable experience, we returned to the original hotel to speak with the manager, only to discover this was a known issue being inadequately managed by reallocating guests to substandard accommodations. We requested a full refund and left the hotel, deeply disappointed by the management's lack of accountability. I strongly advise against booking at this hotel, as handling such situations is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and potentially unsafe.

Great stay. Been this hotel before the remodel and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. The renovations made this hotel a nice stay. Quick trip but will stay again. Staff at check in was amazing. Polite , fast, courteous and made it easy.

Farhan at the front desk is so helpful and kind. He makes the checkin process very easy. He has a very warm demeanor and does a wonderful Job. Allen who runs the breakfast is quick, attentive, and keeps the place stocked and cleaned well. He never stops moving, working hard and making it a nice experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

I visit the area every 2 months. This is my go to place. It is comfortable, the staff is always accommodating and kind.

Friendly staff, every single person i encountered even in passing

Room was okay. Not the cleanest and wasn’t stocked well. Whoever is running the hotel has terrible customer service, just wants people to waste their money. Front desk staff is nice .

I was sent a email from La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lexington Park that stated "complete your pre-arrival check-in using the link below to save time at the front desk when you pick up your room keys." I clicked the link & completed the pre-arrival check-in to include the accidental fee of $103.61. I thought I was all set for my stay, just show my ID when I arrived & get the key to my room. Sounds real easy, right? Unfortunately, when I arrived, the front desk staff asked for my ID & then asked me for $100.00 accidental fee. I explained to the gentleman that I had already paid the accidental fee online when I did the pre-arrival check-in. Unfortunately, the gentleman ignored what I was saying to him & continued asking me for the accidental fee of $100.00. Due to it being late, I figured I'd pay it & it would be refunded to me in the next few days. The $100.00 I paid at La Quinta Inn was refunded to my card the next day after my stay. Unfortunately, $103.61 was not refunded to my card. It's 4 days later & the charge is still on my card. The front desk staff should've checked La Quinta Inn database system to see that I already completed the pre-arrival check-in to include the accidental fee. Furthermore, when I explained the situation, the front desk staff should of listened to my concern & not ignored me nor required me to pay an additional $100.00. This is greatly disappointing, I've stayed at La Quinta Inn 22769 Three Notch Road California, Maryland 20619 several times.

There was no disclosure that the pool was closed indefinitely nor was there any mention that the hotel was under construction. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was for the pool. We also did not appreciate the "long term residents" asking for money outside of the hotel, at night.

Location was perfect for what we needed to do in the area, nice paved, walking trail behind the hotel for our dog. The room was very clean and comfortable, but the only two bad things to mention is that the bathroom had a “funky” smell. Hard to describe but kind of like musty smell. The remote control was a little wonky and probably just needed new batteries. Wonderful Mexican restaurant next-door that offered discounts for guests, win, win!

I have stayed at this La Quinta a half dozen times over the years and this will probably be the last time I come here. As others have mentioned, there is a large construction / remodel project going on out front and a portion of the parking spaces are taken up with construction bins and equipment. The hotel never mentioned it in their adds. One of the nice things about this location used to be the paved bike trail and picnic area behind the hotel. It was perfect if you were travelling with your dog or children. Now it is a hang out for the local riff raff and shady types. I was approached by a 6 foot tall panhandler asking for beer money and that was something that had never happened during my previous visits. There are other hotels across Route 235 that I can stay at and I will probably go to one of those next time.

Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was was delicious and lots of choices. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

We felt very welcome and comfortable! The breakfast bar exceeded expectations as the attendant put great effort into keeping it clean and well stocked. We will stay here again to visit family!

Everything was great! The room, the facilities in general, best breakfast I've had at a motel. Fitness center was great according to my wife. If I had any complaints.. pillows were awful. No support at all, even using 3. The WiFi was very weak. My vehicle was vandalized in the parking lot, which they took no action. Luckily it was done in magic marker and wiped off. If I'm in the area again, I would come back to La Quinta!
