The room was clean, comfortable and warm - we stayed in November. The staff were considerate and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The bar and restaurant were tastefully decorated and the lighting and roaring woodburners made for a cosy experience. Will gladly sstay again when passing through the area.

As our family live in different parts of the country we try to meet up once a year. We chose a ‘gem of a place’ with The Helyar Arms! Fabulous atmosphere/ ambience. The staff were so kind and friendly and our accommodation was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Such a pretty place with an abundance of brightly coloured hanging baskets and a beautiful ‘secret’ garden to the rear of the hotel with ample seating. An excellent place to stay👍

The pub is lovely, beautiful well maintained garden with plenty of seating inside very clean and large seating area. We had a very nice meal and the staff are fantastic, great service. Our room was clean with tea making facilities. Can’t recommend this place enough 5 stars all round.

What a pretty pub. When we arrived all staff lovely and helpful. after a change cmw down for deinks and was so dog friendly. We didnt eat as eaten before arrived but it was well attended sonwould come back another time. Bed comfy, weren't affected by the pub re sound. Lovely and cosy.

We had a most enjoyable 3-night stay at The Helyar Arms. Staff and the proprietors were most welcoming and helpful, the accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable; and the food was excellent. The garden was immaculate and a joy to sit there with a drink. Prices were reasonable and and overall gave really good value for money. Strongly recommend.

I had a great stay here. I forgot my phone charger and Patrick went out of his way to find me one and offered for me to keep it, very thoughtful and kind. Great pizza and the bar staff were very hospital, I felt comforted as a solo traveler.

Lovely stay at the Helyar Arms. Friendly welcoming staff and the food was excellent. Really good breakfast. Dog friendly and set in a very pretty village. Unexpected stay while coordinating a stressful house move and yet I still felt like I’d had a nice break away ! Will definitely be back.

Very disappointed with the breakfast. Cooked breakfast did not include baked beans. The bacon and sausages were undercooked. They could not provide any non-dairy milk or "butter" at all (for cereals, tea and toast). Also, no non-dairy yoghurts provided. Very expensive for what we did actually have.

Lovely village inn with beautiful beer garden, lot's of hanging baskets ect Had great evening meal with wine Didn't have breakfast as it was too early..it finished at 0845 Staff very friendly and helpful Would highly recommend

We stay here a lot as the pub is an absolute delight. Everyone is very welcoming, the food is delicious, and the rooms delightful. Great place to stay when visiting the area.

A cut above a pub with rooms and without pretension. We had a large comfortable room and helpful service. The pub was busy and lively, not raucous. Dinner was a normal.offering plus outstanding specials - pheasant burger, grey mullet in chimchurri. Excellent. Substantial breakfast. Very reasonable prices and a very beautiful village (photo from room). Boss Lady does a pretty good job!

Very friendly and helpful. Evening meals and breakfast were excellent. Outside tables and a well kept garden with tables and chairs. In a very pleasant location. Can't recommend enough.

Thank you very much to the Helyar Arms team for the warm hospitality, we very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches and breakfast was nicely varied and had plenty of options for guests with gluten and dairy intolerances as well which is by no means a given. We look forward to returning.
