We had a lovely stay here. The setting was beautiful and the facilities were really good. The staff are really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. We had a couple of drinks on the veranda with snacks and then a very nice meal in the restaurant along with a good breakfast the next morning. The room was also very good with great views of the lake. All in all a great stay and we would definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed. There's an attached restaurant, your only choice if you stay here and again, while the staff are pleasant, the food is uninspiring. Breakfast was reasonably good and the views are impressive but the three star property I stayed in the previous night was far far better.
