Great stay would recommend the spa. Great breakfast. Rooms could do with aircon especially rooms on main road as extremely busy road.

Stayed 2 nights

We has stayed here few times about 7/8yr ago and always loved it for the quieter more luxurious stay over Jacksons the sister hotel. This time though luxury isn't a word I would use for the Villa Rose Except for the AMAZING food & equally amazing Staff - the staff are all quite young and honestly I have never ever experienced such service like it - the waiters & bar staff absolutely fantastic, the young girl at reception is an asset to the place and the young guys in the breakfast hall are a credit to themselves as well. The Chef needs to be awarded an accolade for the food - never ate as much in my life ! I have a very picky eater child - ordered more food! honestly as a mum on a break and trying not to stress about her child eating this means the world. We stayed 2 nights and both nights ate in the bar - food to die for. Breakfast choice was very poor and had all but run out at 9.30am ! no pure orange, no pastries, no yoghurt or fruit - but I did ask for a croissant for my son and the waitress went and got him some fresh from the kitchen so that is what I mean the staff are the reason the place works. OUR room - was really old & shabby, carpert worn, wardrobe bashed and broken, the tiniest tv ! cartons for shower cap etc were all empty, the toilet flush wouldn't work unless you pulled & pulled 3 or 4 times which I let reception know before someone else goes into that room. I wouldn't stay here again overnight BUT I would def eat here again!
