Worst breakfast we’ve ever had very crowded in the pool area that were very comfortable. The Jets and the hot tub did not work, but the hot tub was pretty warm.

Hotel was clean and close location to shopping. However, we changed our hotel choice to this hotel solely based on their hot tub. Upon arrival the hot tub was not working. They said they put a maintenance order in but it was still not fixed prior to our checkout.

Everything about our stay was wonderful, from checking in to checking out. Breakfast was plentiful. Swimming pool and hot tub was clean and chemically adequate. Parking was easy and plentiful. The room was spacious and clean.

Expedia has not updated their information about this property. I was looking forward to soaking in the hot tub and the jetted tub in the room. The lady at the desk said that they removed the jetted tubs from the rooms 2 years ago. Also they removed the hot tub. The flower beds were dead and overgrown with weeds. Bathrooms and the stairs where disgusting.

The only reason I got a room there was because they had a Jacuzzi. I verified it on the hotels.com site. They do NOT have a hottub.

We booke this hotel because it advertised a pool and hot tub. When we checked in we found out that the pool and hot tub were closed and Expedia gave no notice when I booked the room. The hotel was also under construction and wecwere not informed of that either. Very dissapointed!

This property is undergoing major renovations of which they have not posted on the site. No elevator unless you walk through the laundry room (not the guest use laundry room but where they clean the hotel linens). The pool is not open which we didn’t find out until we arrived which did not excite the kids. Pool was main reason we booked this hotel. Hotel offered nothing in discounts for the inconvenience. We needed up having to go to a local rec center so the kids could swim which had a fee. We will not stay here again.

There was blood stains on a pillow,we got there late with self check in, so just removed that pillow. The walls are very thin at first it sounded like people jumping on our heads then it was the sound of people snoring not in our room.

This hotel was amazing. You won’t regret choosing to stay here. Our room was recently renovated, everything smelled fresh and all was clean. The beds and pillows were oh so comfy. Breakfast was a hit in the morning. Staff was very nice at every encounter. I can’t say enough good things. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

We were told upon arrival that the hotel was almost done with its renovations, and our floor was complete. However, our AC did not work. The toilet constantly ran. The hallway was cooler and temperature than our room. When I told the front desk staff about the AC all she did was write it down and wish us well.

The room was pretty big, large TV and comfortable bed. The pillow however was uncomfortable, too firm. While the hotel was nice, it was difficult to sleep inn. Kids were running up and down the hallway screaming for a good hours from 8am to 10am. I know its more of parenting concern.

The bed we slept in needs to be replaced. My wife and I felt like we were sleeping in a hole on the ground. No support. They need to take some care on the outside of the property. Weeds growing through bushes and in all the landscaping. Looks like no one cares. Box tissue is rough and paper thin.

This property was exceptionally clean and bright. The breakfast area was really large and comfortable for gathering. But what was most impressive was the staff. Molina checked us in late in the evening and was professional and wonderfully kind and welcoming. Tarek met my mom while bringing towels to the pool and remembered her the next day by name. Having a staff that is that authentically customer service oriented puts this hotel above and beyond!!

My reservation was made 6months in advance of my stay- upon arrival, I was informed that the they no longer have king jacuzzi handicapped accessible rooms due to the hotel being renovated. I was never contacted, and completely unaware. Their idea of providing a fair alternative was offering a standard double queen room for MORE per night than my original suite rate. The manager was immediately rude to me- offered no help and lied to my face about the entire situation, claiming that an employee had called me a week prior- but there was zero detail in the “note” about this supposed “call”…totally unacceptable. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Our check-in was fast and we especially enjoyed our interaction with Raniah. Lots of fun. We had an issue with a broken door (it would not close); but our maintenance person, Tarek, was quick to respond. The desk staff and Tarek got us moved to a new room with minimal effort. We are impressed with all the staff at this property. Thx.

NOT AN HONEST ESTABLISHMENT! Lack of customer service, empathy and resolve when I realized I left my senior diabetic blind dog (he has no eyeballs) toddler bed rail at the end of the bed & called 3 hours after checking out to inform them I had left it & it's an important necessity for my blind dog to use his ramp stairs to get on & off the bed in hotels & at home so he doesn't fall off the bed when locating his ramp stairs to get down. Front desk & Manager didn't offer any resolution & acted as if they didn't care and housekeeping didn't bring anything down or put in lost & found. I had just left 3 hours prior. You tell me housekeeping didn't steal it for a toddlers bed or to resell. Instead the manger was persistent, moreless gaslighting me and stood behind his employees/housekeeping and left me hanging with, we'll call if it turns up. Not to mention on the 2nd day of my stay, two women came to report for their first day of work in housekeeping and was speaking with the front desk inquiring "what to do, it's their first day". So dear Manager, you don't know ALL your employees THAT WELL. I don't like to assume, but who is the first individual to go into the room after checkout? I called back again 5 days later and received the same treatment but from a woman. Needless to say, I haven't heard anything or received a call back indicating the safety rail "turned up". I do not recommend this establishment, The Hampton Inn Detroitca/Utica-Shelby Twp. They don't have honest staff!!

We checked in late after my family went to a red wings game. It was 11:00 when we checked in. Hospitality was prompt in getting us checked into our rooms. The hotel was very clean. Looks new. The pool and hot tub area was nice. Breakfast was very good for hotel breakfast. Waffles with a variety of toppings are my family’s favorite. And they had a lot of options for toppings. Beds were comfortable.

They could do better on hot breakfast. Pool was a little cold. Had a big family come in and kids screaming off the top of their heads. We just left. Water pressure for shower was bad. Hot water took a little long. The sensor light inside room was really annoying. But overall-beds were ok. Locations was great.
