Excellent from start to finish, pleasant reception, this makes all the difference and puts you at ease and in a good frame of mind right from the start. Very comfortable room which was nice and quiet. Easy parking, only a short walk to a fantastic dining area with lots of variety available. I was sorry when our stay ended.

The Lodge was once a grand building, so it certainly has it's charm, but it is now quite outdated. It is as clean as an old building can be and seems secure. The staff are friendly and helpful and my teenage companions enjoyed the continental breakfast in the dining room. The beds were comfortable and a good size with clean linen. Out door parking at rear is convenient but it is not fully sealed so I had to carry our cases to the car or they would have dirty/wet wheels. It is in the Adelaide Airport flight path which did not bother us.

This is a beautiful older facility which oozes character, and provides more than adequate facilities. The staff are warm and inviting, and will do their best to help with any problems. Parking is easy, nice brekky room, lovely parklands around, and an easy walk to good food area. Not quite a walk to the city centre, but if yr reasonably fit, no probs.. Bike tracks aplenty close by.

Accommodation in Adelaide during the AFL Gather round was at a premium and hence pricing was somewhat higher than normal, but that's to be expected. Princes Lodge is more like a guest house with basic rooms and a large dining room where a small breakfast is provided. The premises are somewhat old but if you are looking for somewhere simply to sleep, this does the job. It does not provide the other comforts some motels do such as pools, foxtel, gyms etc. Bed was reasonably comfortable and wi-fi worked well. This property provided reasonable value. Located a 10 minute walk from North Adelaide shopping precinct and 25 minute walk to the Adelaide oval. A lovely park was directly accross the road which provided an early morning walk.

It was very dated and period style, smelt a little bit musty in the room and the fragrances used were very off-putting. A better fragrance is recommended otherwise good value

Understandably, it is a three star but, there’s no need to be under that for cleaning and removing unsightly items. The rooms at the rear of the premise was the old stable at the turn of the century with its set out of more suited as frat house arrangement and is in need of repair such carpet, grey mould on the ceiling above the shower and along the row of windows. Didn’t sleep all that well. Thinking being at the back of the main rooms would be far more quiet but remembering you have airport jets flying directly over the premises up until 11:30 and starts again 5am. There are several premises around the area for a far more decent price a choice of 2 rooms. Again, basic accommodation and if they did some general maintenance such as the driveway to the rear, freshened up regularly and cleaned It may get a higher rating.

Nice property, liked the breakfast option, while comfortable there were some aspects of the property that are looking tired and need attention. The building is old and has some modernization, some things are looking shabby and the bed was in poor shape. Bathroom was sad pot less snd lovely hot water.

We wre in an external room, pretty run down looking and very small by Australian standards. Quite a lot of aircraft noise, and was probably made worse by the room we were in. Under normal circumstances would probably look elsewhere

The property is old and tired, but you get what you pay for. Having my knees hard up against the opposite wall when on the dunny was particularly disconcerting. I’m only 5 foot 4, so if you’re a taller person maybe give this place a miss.

Hotel was nice and clean especially for its historical age. Location is also amazing with Main Street diners and restaurants at a few minute walk. Although it was a bit noisy as it is not sound proof and planes frequently flew over the building. Overall its was an amazing experience with a great breakfast, excellent location, and I would recommend.

It’s an older style motel/hotel/lodge to stay at. Quaint. The carpets probably need stretching in the bedroom to stop trip hazards and the mattress on the bed I slept in has no coil left in the springs. Very uncomfortable Value for money if your looking for somewhere nice and close to amenities though

Room was a size of the shoe box Window seal is missing so when windy window is rattling all the time. We end up putting tissue papers around to minimise rattling. Ceiling above bed is broken and hanging down. Lights in the bathroom need at least 5-7 min to start working once when turned on. Facility kitchen was next door to our room as well as all overflowing rubbish bins. When kitchen staff start working 6am it was noisy and being on holiday it is annoying. Gaps around front door are large enough for any crawly creature to crawl under the door especially with rubish bind so close. This review is about room 10. Can’t comment on any other rooms.

Like that the Motel’s location, walking distance to the CBD, Adelaide Oval, Torrens River, Station in North Terrace. Lots of dining options on O’Connell Street, and bus service through O’Connell Street. Have stayed at Princes Lodge many times and will continue to do so. 👍😊

Hotel was nice and clean especially for its historical age. Location is also amazing with Main Street diners and restaurants at a few minute walk. Although it was a bit noisy as it is not sound proof and planes frequently flew over the building. Overall its was an amazing experience with a great breakfast, excellent location, and I would recommend.

Unique older property with character and creature comforts. Enjoyed the breakfasts in the lovely sunny dining room. Fantastic parkland opposite for exercise. Easy walk to zoo, oval and city. Helpful friendly hosts.

Accommodation in Adelaide during the AFL Gather round was at a premium and hence pricing was somewhat higher than normal, but that's to be expected. Princes Lodge is more like a guest house with basic rooms and a large dining room where a small breakfast is provided. The premises are somewhat old but if you are looking for somewhere simply to sleep, this does the job. It does not provide the other comforts some motels do such as pools, foxtel, gyms etc. Bed was reasonably comfortable and wi-fi worked well. This property provided reasonable value. Excellent location within walking distance to Adelaide CBD, restaurants, cafes and shopping. Team members most helpful and Curtis, no request to big or small. Parkland opposite, great for those with children, or seeking the opportunity for some fresh air and exercise during your stay.

Lovely historic property, clean, comfortable, everything has been thought of & provided. Plus the added bonus of breakfast being included. Only a few minutes walk to the free connector bus into the city. I enjoyed my 5-night stay.

Great old building that's been converted into a hotel. Breakfast was basic, but nice. The furnishings are on the older side, but it was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to an area with shops and restaurants. Would stay again.

The location of this Hotel can not be better. However the old style of the LODGE is not there anymore, cheaply renovated, killed the old vibe of this magnificence building. Hope that this place can go back to the former glory. Just by keeping everything in working order, the ropes on the windows are thorn, very hard to open due to are broken. The coffee machine not working, etc, AGAIN former glory then full house.

Good value for a city overnighter, the place is a little unmaintained but bed and bathroom were neat and tidy. Breakfast was very basic, no protein or fresh fruit, only toast, cerial and canned peaches, coffee machine was good. Easy walk to main street where there's alot of food to choose from.

The hotel is in a great location. A lot of the rooms do not have in room bathrooms, they are separate. We decided to upgrade to a room with an ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately the TV was trouble and we couldn’t watch it. During our stay they tried but couldn’t fix it. Breakfast is basic but very good. The bed is comfortable and a great shower.

Asha kept saying he would do something we asked then forget. The tv did not work over the whole 4 nights of our stay. There was no servicing of the room even over 4 nights. Our bins were full and I had to asked for a new garbage bin liner. In the hood side it was very quiet and the bed was comfortable
