Food was great! And the pool area was beautiful

They asked me to sign a paper acknowledging that construction was taking place on the property but the construction was happening in the room directly next to mine which was extremely annoying considering I had to work at the desk lining the wall where the banging was nonstop during my work hours. Plus Darcing charged my partner $700 for a deposit that we didn’t ask for I asked if we needed a deposit and instead of clarifying first she assumed we were volunteering a deposit for a room I was paying for in full. So charges had to be voided and it took 5 days for the funds to be returned instead of the 25-48 hours promised, while we’re in another country. The food was good and the staff in the restaurant was great the bar staff was also accommodating and friendly. The rooms next to construction need to also be out of commission until the works done and the hotel was empty enough where we could have been placed in another room further from that ruckus

Excellent staff and Súper convenient. Pool is fabulous and quite large. We had a car rental from Enterprise and they have a deal right in the lobby which saved us from having to drop it off to the airport as we were overnighting. I would stay here again for sure.

Long line to checkin and only 1 girl..The pool was closed had i known this i would have stayed at the other Hilton. I couldn’t use the air conditioner I ran it while at dinner and came back and the room had a bad oder after shutting it off the oder was better bout a hour later

Clean, comfortable room, convenient location for overnighting close to airport. Pool is very nice. I enjoyed the restaurant outdoor patio. Efficient checkin/out process and airport shuttle. Would stay again for ease of airport travel.

Perfect for a stop before or after a flight. Booked and enjoyed a massage with just a couple hours notice. The food at the restaurant onsite was good. A nice variety of meals indicated GF which is great for a gluten free person like myself!

Great service, nice pool area and a restaurant with outside seating. Right near the airport with shuttle service every 15 minutes. Also car rental counter at the hotel was very convenient.

It was an overnight stay for an early flight. Instead of staying in Tamarindo and take the bus early, we decided to book at the Hilton. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and shuttle was good too. I was too tired to make it to the restaurant. Pool was right outside our room. No complaint and will stay here again.

Great way to finish our Costa Rica adventure. Returned our car on site, lounged by the pool and had one of the better meals of our trip. The airport transfer was easy to book and on time (rare in Costa Rica) we were at the airport in under 5 minutes

The pool and fitness Center made our stay more active.

Front staff very friendly and clean rooms.

The hotel was nice and close to the airport. When we got to our room, there was an open used soap bar in the shower and the tub didn’t drain well. We tried to call the front desk but no one answered. Otherwise good hotel, close to the airport with transportation.

Clean rooms and great food!

Not the nicest HGI. Looks worn out And dingy. The shower curtain strongly smelled of mildew. Really overwhelming the first step into the bathroom. Door to room very difficult to close. Safety latch installed such that it didn’t work. I’m a Hilton frequent stayer. I stayed a year prior and it wasn’t bad. It failed this trip.

I booked this hotel in anticipation of arriving very early after an overnight flight. I paid for an entire extra night stay so that we could check in immediately upon arrival. I even messaged the hotel ahead of time to inform them of our anticipated arrival time, and was assured that our room would be ready for us. When we arrived at the hotel, the hotel staff seemed unprepared for us. We were told that they had a room, but were uncertain if it was ready and that they had to physically go check to make sure no one was in it. Thankfully no one was in the room- imagine being the unsuspecting guest sleeping and being interrupted because staff is not aware of which rooms are occupied. We arrived to the room, and it contained only one bed (despite us booking a 2 bed room), and smelled very moldy and was very warm. My travel companion went to the front desk to inform them that this was not the type of room we had booked, and to tell them about the smell. I stayed in the room and watched as a staff member dragged a cot into the room, and then poured an air freshener liquid directly into the AC unit and turned it on. The smell became suffocating, and we couldn't stay in the room at all. They had no other rooms available and we had to wait for the afternoon checkin. We were promised a refund, but were told it had to be done through Expedia. I have attempted to contact both the hotel and Expedia regarding this, and have been denied a refund. I would never recommend this hotel.

Strong chemical odor in the room.

The room’s A/C units are extremely loud. It’s like sleeping with a generator running. Made for a difficult night to get some rest. Facility itself is nice.

Terrific staff. Easy transfer to Liberia airport for early morning flights. But an older property. Fridge wasn’t working. Difficult to get the room temperature comfortable. Either freezing cold or too warm…

Nice first stop in CR next to airport. Free shuttle, water, ice, WiFi. Pool is very nice too. Uber picks up to check out Liberia 15 mins away. Only issue is older AC unit which is loud when on.

Room was really clean.The internet works fine.We couldn't connect on Netflix to the t.V, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall nice Stay

The steak tortillas and steak tenderloin at the Hilton restaurant was some of the best food I’ve ever had. The room was okay. The plumbing was a little to be desired. Water pressure wasn’t to good. Internet was great. The convenience of being near the airport made it very accommodating. We’ll definitely stay there again.

The check-in process at this Hilton Garden Inn was the absolute worst experience we have ever had in the 20+ years of being honors members. The service was extraordinarily slow, very unfriendly, on the verge of rude! The front desk staff moved at a snails pace. Rooms were not ready. The lobby was full of very unhappy customers.

The 24 hour shuttle is not 24 hours. They allow it to be overbooked and inconsistent. If you are staying there to catch a morning flight plan on other transportation. The check in was 3 and our room was still not ready

The staff were courteous, but upon check-in, the staff were more interested in strict process rather than customer service. The main reason we selected this hotel was its airport shuttle. Although we confirmed our shuttle on check-in, the hotel shuttle did not run. They called for the shuttle from Hampton Inn; however, we were not able to board the shuttle until 30 minutes after our scheduled time, which made us arrive late at the airport.

Check in was chaotic, flight crews ushered to the front of the line. Breakfast vouchers unorganized. Room was ok.

Check in time extremely slow … but very nice staff

The air conditioning in the room worked intermittently all night. We had periods when the room was very hot and then it would be freezing. Pillows were mediocre. Bed was fine. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Tried calling the front desk from our room twice and they never picked up.

The breakfast was $35.00 US so very expensive. The food is ok. I had to wait for 45 minutes for my check in so it was awful. Somebody told me that it was the same thing the day after so I don’t know if it’s always like this. They should put more people when it’s ‘check in’ time. I am never going to come back

Friendly helpful staff

Great staff and clean rooms. There was a cancelled flight checking in as we were and the front desk staff was very efficient and still very kind. The restaurant and bar staff were very accommodating. Definitely a great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport in the morning.

Check in was delayed 3 hours due to no rooms being cleaned/ready. Waited in line for an hour. Incredibly slow. Everything was done on paper and they had to check every persons passport

Comfortable and clean hotel. Conveniently located to explore Guanacaste just keep in mind the traffic on the main road to exit the hotel location is bad at most times of the day. Okay during the weekend. Laundry room was great for our family, the pool, gym and restaurant excellent. Great service, friendly staff and fun and diverse gift shop. Will definitely stay here again!

Hotel itself is good. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Service throughout hotel is good. Restaurant is pretty good. Laundry room is convenient although one washer was broken. The biggest problem with the hotel is the location. There is only a KFC that you can walk to. Otherwise, you need a car to go into Liberia or even to the closest restaurant. There is only a single road going to the hotel. You cannot walk on that road as it would be extremely unsafe and the closest restaurant is a couple miles away. It looks like in next couple years they are building more infrastructure close by to hotel (walking distance). Taxis are either unavailable or take 20 minutes minimum to reach hotel, so that is not a great option. Only other comment is that checkout experience was not good. Only one person there and the credit card reader was malfunctioning but she blamed my credit card. Eventually she found another card reader that worked. Also I had reserved a shuttle to airport for large box with bike. But driver tried to put it in LAST after other luggage even though I tried to talk him out of that. If course, it did not fit and I had to wait at least 10 min more on thought schedule since earlier shuttles were booked. I was going back and forth dealing with driver and broken credit card reader. Overall, the experience could have been better. It is only good to stay here if you plan to go to airport next morning.

We stayed at this hotel between landing in Liberia Airport and traveling to Tamarindo nearby. It was a great, relaxing and cleanly place to stay during our trip. The restaurant on site was good and had friendly service. There’s not much in the surrounding area reachable on foot in terms of other food or groceries but for the one night that wasn’t a problem.

Overpriced but you don't have many options.

Great pool and restaurant lots of veg/vegan options, which I found rare in CR. Pricey but delicious food, great service. Comfy clean room good amenities on site.

The hotel itself was good but nothing special. Clean and comfortable room was spacious with a couple of English TV channels. Pool area was a good place to relax. Service at check in and at the restaurant/bar was great. Parking lot was large. The only negative were the prices for beverages and some food items. For example the breakfast buffet was $29 pp USD so we chose to order from the menu. The breakfast prices were alright but we ordered coffee and were charged $10,000 CRC (colones) which equates to about $20 USD. Really $10 USD for a coffee?? Outrageous. Also beer by the pool was very expensive also. A convenient place to stay for a night right by the Liberia airport but not good value for your dollar. Maybe the hotels around the airport are like that (not sure) but do your research or drive off site for food and beverage.

This hotel is much like any other Hilton you stay at. Our only concern was the restaurant was under staffed the evening we used it. We waited quite a while to be served. The two waiters were busy and efficient but they had too many tables to serve…

The staff was amazing! Great cocktails at the bar. The food was limited. Would have liked more typical Costa Rican food.

I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. I was expecting it to be your average hotel, and was impressed with their full restaurant, gift shops, and amenities. The staff was kind and quick to check-in and checkout as well. We only stayed there for one evening before an early flight out but would definitely stay here again in the future.
