Location was an ok base for exploring the Barossa. Hotel was very quiet, we could never tell if the restaurant/bar was ever open. The hotel was ok and clean but a little run down, they need to take down the photos online of the swimming pool area as this was very misleading.

Excellent location. Wonderful room with the all amenities needed, good aircon, fine WiFi, nice bathroom (alting missing a handheld shower head). Please note that the room is not very soundproof – on our first night, we had no one living nearby, but in the second night we could hear a lot from the room upstairs. Extremely friendly staff. We rented bikes which was super easy and fair priced.

Very poor communications. We received an email to advise reception closed at 4pm on a Sunday. We arrived prior to find it unattended, with a an after hours number to call. The number went un-answered for a long time (with frequent msg's apologising due to the high number of calls)...yeah right.... a Sunday afternoon in Tanunda could not be any more sleepy. Room was then navigated OK, but was told everything else in the hotel on Sunday was not open.. bar, restaurant etc.. (make that Monday as well) The hotel itself seemed great, and would definitely visit again, but next time later in the week.

Weintal was in a quiet location in Tanunda, and was a great place to stay. We loved the friendly proficient staff and the room was very comfortable; the only thing we didn’t love was the bathroom towels, they were off white (not white as they should have been) and they smelted like smoked corn or something similar, was not a comforting thing!

The room was lovely and the mattress on the bed was amazing. We both slept really well. The buffet was new and we were ok with that, but on both mornings, we got there at 9am and had to wait on eggs and bacon, as bay was empty. Think they were still getting used to this service. They did do coffee orders which was awesome. I was surprised that whilst everything on the inside was great, the outside area, especially opposite the dinning and bar area looked a little unkept and under watered. To match the inside, I would suggest a bit more attention required on sweeping/hosing off porch area, removing cobwebs and mulching garden beds. It wasn't terrible, but bit of a lost opportunity to wow. Other than those minor points, we really enjoyed our stay and the staff were excellent. Location to all the attractions was also very good. It was quite and safe.

Ideal location for an event we were attending. The rooms have been upgraded since the last time I stayed. Makes a difference. Bar closed before 10pm on the Saturday which disappointed several of us returning from the event. I did have a gripe - the floor was only clean in the areas you could see. Behind the curtains and under the bed could’ve done with some attention.

Der Unterkunft ist sein Preis wert. Wir sind mit dem Auto dort gewesen, alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Alle Personal waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gratis Parkplaz. Die Wände sind hellhörig. Die Sauberheit im Zimmer könnte besser sein. Unser Zimmer war sehr staubig😅 Das Restaurant schliesst um 20:00 Uhr.

The location is excellent. Well situated to get to Tanunda, Angaston, Lyndoch, nuri etc all within 15 mins or less. There are supermarkets, bakeries, hungry jacks very close by. The room & bathroom are spacious. Toiletries supplied are of good quality & the water pressure in the shower is good. The taps are mixer type so very convenient. You get to park your car right outside your unit on the ground floor. The only gripe we have is that the shower stall is not well designed so the toilet floor gets very wet after a shower. Fortunately, housekeeping cleans every day. The reception is supposed to be open till 6pm on the day we arrived however it was already closed when we got there around 515pm. We had to call a number for affer hours check in support and give our full credit card details over the phone - I was very unhappy with this.

We stayed in a deluxe room and enjoyed the large bath tub for a relaxing soak after a long day out. The room was modern, neat and clean. We had everything we needed and overall enjoyed the stay. On our second night some noisy neighbours moved into the room above us which want ideal and I did wonder why the hotel hadn’t put them in another room that wasn’t directly above us. It wasn’t and overly busy weekend.

A really nice hotel, nice modern updated room, lovely staff. My only complaint was the lack of block out blinds/curtains, especially being a kid-free stay where I could have a sleep-in! I relayed this to a staff member who seemed concerned/interested, and who said he would follow it up.

Enjoy our stay here, very friendly & helpful staff. Room was nice & large, comfy bed & nice & clean. But, the layout of the bathroom was terrible, water went everywhere whilst showering & if you used the toilet there is no way you can reach the paper. Just bad design.

We stayed at this property as a couple for an extended weekend to visit the Barossa. As it was mid range in price for the amenities and the photos looked good, we gave it a try. The service was good and the room was good, comfy bed. The only let down was that the walls were so thin that we could easily hear people coughing and talking in the next room. It’s also missing somewhere to sit outside, which would have been nice to be able to enjoy a glass of wine we purchased during our visits to local wineries. Overall though it is very comfortable and clean.

The complex is nice, clean and comfortable and the complimentary wine and nibbles were a nice touch. The reason for our 3 star review is the adjoining door between rooms, which was paper thin, not a solid wood door as it should be, and it was installed poorly, with a large gap underneath - around 3cm or so. Consequently, we could hear every word of the conversations of the people next door. And light from their room would shine into ours under the door, until we put a towel down to block the light. Anyhow, they were our only criticisms.

Lovely place, we stayed in a 1 br apt, rooms were clean and the bathroom was really spacious. 1 improvement would be to have block out curtains in the lounge room for those sleeping on the sofa bed. Staff were lovely but didn’t confirm any costs during check in or check out before charging my card and I had to request a receipt on check out. Would definitely stay again

We couldn't fault the staff at the Hotel, they were accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable. The central location in the Barossa was great. Would recommend you book a self contained room though for the days of the week when there is limited dining in the town open. Plenty of lovely produce to buy and whip up a simple dinner with and of course no shortage of wine to go with it.

We were disappointed staying at the Weintel. There was no check-in service when we arrived mid-afternoon as directed. We couldn’t contact the hotel because we didn’t have a local mobile plan. The internet was out all of the second day, and no one ever responded to the email provided for assistance. The room is nice but too much hassle.

The property is basically unserviced .. as in it’s not staffed .. if you arrive late on any day that the restaurant isn’t open, you’re hooped. They offer bikes for rent but they’re under lock and key after daily staff leaves between noon and 3. If you misplace your room key, you’re toast. It was great in terms of access to wineries and the town but as a hotel it’s pretty poor.

Great all-rounder. The only minor 'con' would be that it is just a little too far out of the centre of town to make it a comfortable walk. It is only a 2-minute drive by car though, so not a biggie.

Great hotel with nice a la carte breakfast options. About a 20 min walk to pretty much all the shops, restaurants, bars etc. in Tanunda. Rooms are quite modern and comfortable. A short drive to a lot of very nice wineries.

Excellent room with generous extras, a small bottle of wine, crisps, Kit Kats plus the usual amenities. We ate at the restaurant the first night, the meals were huge! A quiet & very comfortable stay.

Because of the time of our stay, the restaurant was only open for dinner one night out of four which meant we had to travel into Tanunda for meals. Breakfast was included each morning but was not very enjoyable

The dining area was lovely. Unfortunately you couldn’t get an evening meal until Wednesday to Saturday and we arrived on a Sunday and stayed until Tuesday. Also we couldn’t get internet in our room.
