Easily accessed from Great Ocean Road, located opposite the coast. Property is well maintained & clean, reception staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom sizeable with good shower and fluffy towels, all required facilities - kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery & crockery, tv, hairdryer etc. Just minutes walk away from shops and restaurants, and also beach.

Really impressed with everything about our stay at Waterfront motor inn. We reserved the spa ocean view room and it was amazing! Immaculate and spotless! The owner was very helpful and paid attention to detail. They left a water bottle and 2 glasses in the refrigerator in advance of our stay. The bed was very clean and comfortable and the shower had great pressure! If back in Australia we would definitely stay there again!

Excellent. Modern well presented room. Kitchenette with everything you would need. Clean bathroom with towels and toiletries provided. Beds were comfortable with clean fresh linens. AC and TV and a laundry. No issues with the other visitors. Great room, couldn’t recommend it more. Book it.

There was a very strong odor on the carpet, smelled like feet. Also there was a strong smell like the pee near the foot of the bed. Other things are good - Easy and quick check in and check out process, a lot of things to eat and to look at around this property, very quiet at night, feels safe in the neighborhood.

The bathroom is not clean and there are lots of black mold on the walls inside the shower. No service since reception is closed from 6:00 pm to 9:00 am. The room door will be left open if arriving after 6:00 pm. Most stores close around 3 or 4 pm and restaurants close around 7:00 or 8:00pm. Not worth US$170/night.

This was the only night on out 6 day Great Ocean Road Trip where we were disappointed. We had a 2 bedroom Villa and whilst it was clean and comfortable there was no room to swing a mouse in let alone a cat. It reminded me of a caravan. We were 4 adults with 4 large suitcases and hand luggage and this was spread out over the entire lounge floor. Thankfully only 1 night here. Apollo Bay as a resort wasn’t the best and after passing through Lorne earlier in the day, we wished we had stayed there instead. Overall it was ok, just not suitable for 4 adults.

Nice upgrade with partial ocean view. Room facing main road but no traffic noise. Great location, walking distance to all restaurants/cafes. 1 min drive from motel to EV charging was great. Would stay here again when driving through.

We’re warmly welcomed by the reception with highly efficient check-in process. We could park the car in front of the room which was very convenient to us. The room was spacious with one double bed and one single bed. There were electric blankets in addition to split heating/cooling air conditioner providing a comfortable rest. WiFi was stable and reliable at reasonable speed. It’s an excellent stay in Great Ocean Road.

A very pleasant motel, but despite proximity to waterfront, our room, and a number of others had no sea view. Those at the front did. Make sure, if it’s important to you to order accordingly. Otherwise room large, beds comfortable, shower good, loo paper good (not too thin).

The communication level was fantastic, and the owners were so lovely!! The room was perfect for us (just an overnight stay), and would have loved to stay longer to actually explore and use the facilities provided. Would definitely recommend to anyone not wanting to break the bank on a lovely holiday stay!

The property is well located but is truly right on the Great Ocean Road. Very quiet at night and great views from the 2nd story balcony. You are close enough to the ocean to hear the waves breaking at night. Would recommend to travelers on the Great Ocean Road. Also - dining at Graze in town was fabulous 👍

Staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable. Location was great and with the door closed we didn’t hear the traffic even though we were on the main road. Very handy for browsing shops on the tourist strip. Awesome Chinese restaurant about 250m away with the best prawn spring rolls ever.

We read somewhere that Apollo Bay was the shabby version of Lorne… not at all, the area is so quaint and beautiful.. Our stay at the Apollo Bay Motor inn was perfect… everything we needed with restaurants, bars and shops only a short walk away… loved it… 👍
