Quality Inn & Suites - Marlin

Our only complaint was.. the hallways and breakfast area were super HOT!! Ruby at the front desk was AMAZING in every way!!!

This property is overgrown with weeds and grass. There are towels being used to stop up the holes in the screens over the windows. There was no water to this motel. Thankfully with no water we did not stay at this motel. This place looks great in the photo shown on Expedia but in reality this place is terrible. Do not stay here.

This place is a literal dump. The parking lot is full of trash as well as the property around the hotel. There was nobody at the front desk. I had to call the hotel phone number to get the guy to come give us a key to the room. There are 2 flat pillows on the king size bed. They do not have extra pillows. The pull out couch was covered in dead roaches and droppings. There were no sheets in the room for the pull out. The floors are filthy. There was urine in the toilet when we checked in. We would never even consider staying here again. Just gross!

Rooms were clean and nice. No air conditioning in lobby or hall ways. Somewhat dirty in public areas.

The parking lot landscape was overgrown, pool was green. Check in was easy since she didn’t even verify me by asking for DL or card on file. Lobby and halls seemed clean. As soon as we opened our room door it was a different story. It smelled wet, humid, sticky. The smell never went away even after cooling off the room, AC worked fine. Every thing that needed to be clean seemed to be; toilet, shower, sink, beds. There were marks and splatter on the walls, dirty carpet, and water stains on walls in bathroom like it had flooded before. Tub water was a yellow/brown color but no smell, sink water was fine. The inside lock for safety had been broke so we used a chair under the handle. This stay was for a cheaper room an hour from our concert in College Station rather than pay overpriced rates in town. I knew it wasn’t the best chain but the pics and reviews weren’t terrible so I went with it. We didn’t come down for breakfast,so no clue there. When we came in from the concert at 3am there was nobody at the front desk and I needed washcloths. I rang the bell 4 times and nobody. I went to the door down the hall marked Privacy/Employee Only and knocked twice. Front desk lady answered the door half a sleep but did get me washcloths. I would also like to mention there was no phone in the room to call the front desk or call out if an emergency, thought that was strange. Overall it was just ok but cleanliness of the room was poor. Never did we feel unsafe.

It was hot in the lobby, the elevator and breakfast room. The continental breakfast was a joke. They had towels set up for two. No wash clothes.

The grass needed to be cut and the pool is not kept clean.

The pool wasn’t set up or clean, the last day in the bathroom the rail in the shower broke off when I just helled on for a second. The cleaning stuff they use, have the room smelling a little funny. The lawn outside was cut.

The room was average but you can tell the hotel is outdated. Only had basic TV and to have white towels dingy with green stains on them but I took my own towels. There was no breakfast and the surrounding grounds look horrible. You would think you were in a desert if you didn’t know where you were

There was a roach on me in bed. When I went to leave I open the room door and there was a mouse at the door. It ran down the hall. Terrible experience

I had roaches in my room. The room and bathrooms were dirty with a moldy smell. I roughed it out but next time I need to be in that area, I will stay in Waco.

Stayed 5 mins room had bed bugs and was not clean will never use that hotel again.

Sheets, towels and shower curtain dirty upon arrival.

There was no breakfast. The carpet in my room spelled. If the air condition is turned off the carpet spelled worse. The baseboard on the bathroom was nasty. They charged me for a room I already paid for. I tried to tell them but they didn't listen.

bed had hair, dirty sheets, carpet smelling like a mold, walls were very dirty, we only stay one night .

The room had a smell, They had bugs (Roaches) in the room, i had to reclean the bathroom because it had hair on the sink and commode.

When I arrive to the hotel, the grass was knee-high all the way around the hotel like it hadn’t been cut over a year. The lobby of the hotel smelled musky and was not really clean at all. When I arrived in my room the bedsheets had stains and the comforter had stains all over it like it hadn’t been washed, and it was very musky. The window was open had to shut the window and turned the AC on just not a very clean experience at all and for The price I really thought it would’ve been better. Will never stay there again.

Room smells like cat piss, ice maker broken, tv broken, breakfast was a joke. Chairs in room were broken, mattress was worn out and lumpy, pillows were small and flat. They did not clean room " only saw 1 employee the whole time". The worst hotel I have stayed at.

Booked king/queen suite with kitchenette. Toilet was broken, water off. Moved to a 2 queen downgrade room. Toilet seat about to fall off

Shower no hot water. queen beds and pillows less comfortable than last time I was here. Towels very thin. Downstairs bathroom out of order. Breakfast: microwave your own omelet and sausage/biscuit.

I've stayed here many times over the years. of the 3 hotel options in Marlin, this place is the most expensive, and usually worth the cost. not this time. the first thing I noticed is that there were no towels in the restroom. and it was dirty. the previous occupants left a bar of soap in the shower, along with a few "hairs." I'll leave it at that. the smoke detector was literally hanging from the ceiling by it's cords. I needed to transport my luggage from the car. noticed the hangar where the luggage carts are stored was empty. I asked the attendant, he said both carts were on the 2nd floor. he didn't apologize, and didn't offer to bring the carts down for me, so I had to get them myself. the one good thing is that the heater worked, as it was in the 20's outside. perhaps it worked TOO well. it seems the thermostat wasn't working so it wouldn't shut off when the room reached the preset temo. had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off manually. if only I was as fortunate with the hot WATER. I wasn't. it was barely tolerable enough to shower. I let the girl working the desk know the next stand she said she'd let someone know. I guess she didn't, because the issue reminded for the rest of my stay. as I said, I've stayed here many times and it's usually a pleasant experience, but it's been lacking for the past few years. I was hopeful when I found out that there was new management. it was better for a bit, but eventually things deteriorated yet again.

Check-in is at 2, which is great! Rooms are decent for the rate, not a terrible drive into College Station, easy on & off the highway. Water pressure in the shower is meh, but it gets the job done.

First of all I was charged three times and God knows if I’ll get a refund. Toilet was damaged and water had no pressure. Vending machine was out of service.

Checkin time was at 3pm.. I was told it was at 11am

My room was ready. I only had ti show my id and i wss handed my kèy.

The room I was first sent to was in shambles I have pictures. The room we finally got was filthy, no blankets no towels… and the staff had none to offer. The staff was rude and hard to understand! It was awful!

Staff was nice

No one at the desk. When I called for a refund, the guy lied and said he was there the whole time. I wanted a refund. he claims they didn't charge the card but who knows. I'll have to check as I don't believe him.

We liked the space in the King suite. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast, as they were out of coffee cups and didn't have anything like yogurt or such.

Check-in is at 2, which is great! Rooms are decent for the rate, not a terrible drive into College Station, easy on & off the highway. Water pressure in the shower is meh, but it gets the job done.

It was Beautiful, Room was Great, Biggee than what we Amticipated. So Beautiful My Husband is renting room for whole week while working in Bremond Tx.

Advertised food for breakfast. Not the case, there was cereal but no milk, bread but no butter or jelly. I tried to make waffles but it was out. I finally gave up and went to mcdonalds. Our shower had water damage and smelt really bad. I did not even stay for the final night.

I've stayed here many times, it's satisfactory, I guess, but the quality goes down whenever they get new management/owners. was looking forward to the free breakfast, which was paused during Covid. it was trash. a few pieces of bread, some oranges and the standard waffle machine. no sausage, bacon or eggs in sight.

Could smell dust as you walk in. Chairs & carpet -old & dirty. Room looked clean but was dusty. Had to buy air fresher, disinfectant and Clorox wipes to make it bearable. Outside grass needed cutting and pool was dirty. No eggs or meat served for breakfast which ended at 8:30a. Coffee served in styrofoam cup and weak. No air either.

The room was clean the towels had stains on them, possibly old wine stains. The breakfast was subpar muffins in a package, hot coffee, dry cereal, and waffles. With no condiments wasn’t really worth the price I paid.
