There were limited parking spaces at the hotel. I then located a long stay car park directly behind the hotel but had to drive around one way to get to it. A slight inconvenience and would use the car park again as safe and low cost.

Off road parking which is helpful. Easy and friendly check in. Staff at the bar were really friendly. Food was great. Hotel room was spacious and clean, if a little dated - as the hotel is old we did expected this. Hotel located in the centre so within walking distance of where we wanted to go. The room was very clean. The building itself is very old but is kept in a very clean condition. The staff were friendly, attentive nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really good as there was so many gluten free options to choose from and it was cooked to perfection. Parking was at the back of the hotel and felt safe at all times. This is an Ideal location for visiting the town with so much choice of places to eat.

Came down to Wimborne for a family funeral - we had the wake in the hotel. Everyone was looked after extremely well - all the staff were great. We stopped in the hotel overnight - room was clean, bright and quiet. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty to eat

My room was extremely hot, even though the outside temperature was cool. I asked for a second electric fan which just about made the room temperature bearable. The room and bathroom could have been cleaner but were acceptable. The area just outside the entrance and the car park were spoilt by litter. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and quickly brought me an extra fan.

Close to Tivoli theatre. Comfortable surroundings. Our room was clean and a. good size. Bed was really comfortable. Tea and coffee there if needed.We met up with friends for evening meal, service was really good and our meals were lovely. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The only fault was towel radiator in the ensuite was not working. As we were only staying for one night and not aware it was not working until late evening, we only informed hotel reception when checking out.

Hotel was in a great central location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, very clean. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the hotel. Our room was absolutely unbearable as we were at the very top of the building.

Central historical hotel within walking distance of most Wimborne sites. This is our fourth time staying here. Just a 2 minute walk from the Tivoli where we saw Jack Dee. Very comfy bed. Polish furnishings. Big bathroom. Very clean. Good wifi.

Breakfast was terrific ,beds firm and comfortable,staff friendly and amenable,on the negative side it’s an 18c coaching Inn and you could be forgiven for thinking that’s the last time it was updated,baths quite high for getting out of comfortably,toilet handle broken and a bare piece of wood behind it used as a supporting spacer,cold water was just above a dribble.Fortunately it was not too cold as radiator Luke warm.Furniture are fixings in and out of room are very tired. I did ask for a quiet room and got one overlooking the Square but considering there was a road right outside my bedroom window the noise level was acceptable.I would like to stay there again as it’s a Great Location and the staff were wonderful but only after it has a promised refurb.

The King's Head is located in the centre of Wimborne, so visiting the lovely town is ideal. The hotel has its own car park which is a bonus. The room was spacious overlooking the Minster. It was a bit noisy with the morning traffic. The decor is traditional and a little tired but still OK. If you like a soft bed it's ideal but if you like a firm mattress it's not ideal. The main thing was that the room and bathroom were clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves good food and breakfast was good.

The bed was comfortable. The pillow was firm. The room and bathroom were big. The only issue was noise. We stayed on Sat night and you could hear people outside in the square in the early hours. The floorboards were noisy and you could occasionally hear people talking in the corridor outside the room

Great location and lovely old building. The staff were excellent. Very welcoming and friendly, professional and efficient. The en suite could do with some basic modernising. The room was also too hot, so we had to open a window, which let the noise in from the high street.

We stayed here on our wedding night along with many of our guests. The hotel staff did an amazing job of rallying round to enable us to get checked in before the wedding (even coming in on a day off). Massive thanks to everyone for the team effort 😁🙏

Great hotel and staff. I had an issue with my room at 10:30pm and by 10:40pm I was in a new room. Mega good service going above and beyond. I also had food and that was good value for money (as was the room) and tasty. I will be staying here again.

Checking in the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful The second night the fire alarms went off at about 12.30 midnight it was extremely worrying because there were no staff at the property or answering the out of hours phone number we had to call the fire brigade ourselves

Hotel is very central,and convenient for the pubs and shops.My room was spacious and quiet,even though it was at the front of the hotel.Some of the staff working in the bar need some better customer service skills and improve their communication with each other.One bar lady serving with a green dress on on Saturday the 18th March was fantastic.I would stay there again.

It was a bit noisy with the morning traffic. The decor is traditional and a little tired but still OK. If you like a soft bed it's ideal but if you like a firm mattress it's not ideal. The main thing was that the room and bathroom were clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves good food and breakfast was good.
The King's Head is located in the centre of Wimborne, so visiting the lovely town is ideal. The hotel has its own car park which is a bonus. The room was spacious overlooking the Minster. Great location for all bars, restaurants and shops in Wimborne. 300 year hotel and the towel rail was permanently on which made the room very warm.

Close to Tivoli theatre. Comfortable surroundings. Our room was clean and a. good size. Bed was really comfortable. Tea and coffee there if needed.We met up with friends for evening meal, service was really good and our meals were lovely. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The only fault was towel radiator in the ensuite was not working. As we were only staying for one night and not aware it was not working until late evening, we only informed hotel reception when checking out.

Off road parking which is helpful. Easy and friendly check in. Staff at the bar were really friendly. Food was great. Hotel was in a great central location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, very clean. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the hotel. Our room was absolutely unbearable as we were at the very top of the building.

Great location and lovely old building. The staff were excellent. Very welcoming and friendly, professional and efficient. The en suite could do with some basic modernising. The room was also too hot, so we had to open a window, which let the noise in from the high street.

We stayed for two nights. We ate in the restaurant on the second night, the food was ok except my wife found some plastic in here meal, it was replaced but, we felt a refund should automatically been offered. The fan did not work in the room, it was swapped. The water in the bathroom from the cold tap was warm. The staff were pleasant. All in all, a pleasant stay. Looking forward to seeing changes when it is refurbished.

Lovely stay but breakfast was not replenished and whilst a skeleton staff at Xmas, we had very little choice or quantity left on Boxing Day (plus croissants were solid) and only a little better on 27th. Shame as breakfast was always good before.

Great hotel and staff. I had an issue with my room at 10:30pm and by 10:40pm I was in a new room. Mega good service going above and beyond. I also had food and that was good value for money (as was the room) and tasty. I will be staying here again.

Perfectly pleasant room, yes it's not ultra modern but everything worked perfectly well and was fully serviceable. Comfortable bed. The building is extremely old so at least has plenty of character. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good atmosphere in the bar. Good evening eating experience, extremely well priced wine list. Would be quite happy to stay here again.

No heating, no hot water, unable to run a bath (water and lack of flow & pressure); got a complimentary breakfast as a result. Limited food availability. None of these were the fault of the hotel, but my porridge had frozen lumps in it, and an elderly female who asked for toast was told to "do it yourself" despite clearly having mobility issues. It\'s these last 2 which compelled me to write this review. Superior room was on the front, overlooking the main road. With wooden sash windows, none of the noise was blocked out, so cold and noisy wasn\'t condusive to a good night\'s sleep.

The room was very clean. The building itself is very old but is kept in a very clean condition. The staff were friendly, attentive nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really good as there was so many gluten free options to choose from and it was cooked to perfection. Parking was at the back of the hotel and felt safe at all times. This is an Ideal location for visiting the town with so much choice of places to eat.

The staff at the King’s Head were all friendly and knowledgeable. Zoe went out of her way to help when my husband had an accident and her first aid skills were much appreciated. The oscillating fan in our room helped us cope with the excessive heat. Designated disabled parking was an added bonus. A room with a shower cubicle would have been an advantage but none in the hotel.

We were staying overnight to visit the Tivoli theatre . Parking was good and welcoming check-in . Room was clean and comfy beds but furniture tired and could do with refurbishment. Especially bathroom as having mobility issues we couldn’t use shower as it’s in a bath with no safety rails to be able to climb safely in and out .Not too bad as staying one night only. Fantastic breakfast with good selection and all fresh and no prepackaged items like butter or jam . All cooked to order to save on waste and excellent staff all round . I asked about disabled room re bath and no room is available which is a shame for such a welcoming hotel
