The pool was fun until I got shocked getting out. It is a major safety issue. I told the front desk and they didnt do anything about it. But they did shut it down officially as I was leaving.

It checks all the boxes but it's mostly self serve. There's a fitness room and everything works but, you're turning the lights on, and they haven't filled the water-cooler in a while, there's an indoor pool that is unattended and closes about an hour too early, it has a hw as ter that keeps it just above chilly. The TVs have cable but basic and the batteries in the remote take a few times to work. There's your standard breakfast fare. It's not bad for an in and out, but probably not a destination

Although it was clean, there is an odd smell that lingers throughout the hotel. It seems to be a mixture of humidity, urine, and air freshener. This is present in rooms and hallways. There were no towels or water in gym area, and the treadmill did not work. Pool was ok. Breakfast was nice as well. Good location.

The pool was very clean and a nice temperature. The lobby and breakfast areas are roomy, clean and modern. Very comfortable. The breakfast is adequate. It would be nice if they brought back the make-your-own pancake/waffle machine.

Easy access to everything Maine you could want from this location on rte 1. Room smelled very musty, air conditioner was loud. Hotel had scent emitters to try to cover up the smell, but they just kind of made it worse. Rooms could use redecoration, and removal of gross carpeting.

Room cleanings were not thorough. Bedspread was removed when stained and not replaced for 10 days. We were charged for the bedspread being thrown out, which I found out when I asked what the charge was. I then told the office manager that the bedspread was never replaced upon which it was replaced. I plan to fight this charge.

Our room was large and nighttime lighting was bright. I especially liked the new synthetic wood floors. So much easier to clean and maintain. However the bathroom tub/shower was a bit slippery.

Exterior of property in great shape. New, modern looking lobby and dining area. Good breakfast...would be better if they had more fruit options. Coffee was not good. Guest rooms are outdated. Carpet in room didn't seem clean. Bathroom seemed recently updated and very nice, but bedroom was dated. Old, nicked up furniture. Bed was ok. Had a decent sleep. Overall good experience and value for the price.

Excellent hotel for less cost than hotels right on the beach. Only a 5 minute drive to the beach. Rooms newly renovated, comfortable and clean. Only complain was loud AC.

The hotel itself is very clean. The rooms are big enough for two comfortably. There were plenty of places to put our belongings. Breakfast was very good! Many choices. The issues we had were the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Both of us woke up with neck pain. The air conditioner is super loud. The carts to unpack need to have brakes so you can load and unload without having them take off on you.

They need to up their game on pillows. Didn't sleep well, tossed alot. Woke up with soar neck every morning. I like staying at Best Westerns, but this one need to up their game and get new pillows. The ones they have are flat. Not comfortable at all.

Run away from this hotel!! The hall smelled like urine and febreeze, the room was so damp and musty the smell was sickening like mold. I had to move my family to another hotel after the first night. Woman at the front desk was so rude and wanted to charge me for additional days, for leaving. Terrible customer service, will never stay at another best western

I have very mixed feelings. The first room we were in was the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Strong urine smell everywhere in the room. I wanted to cancel the remaining 3 night booking. Since it was non-refundable , the next day they were good at giving us another room which did not smell at all. It was clean and comfortable. Friendliness was not consistent at all. No smiles, if I asked for anything such as extra pillows or to make up the room, it was like it was a real bother to them. However, the gentlemen that did help me were very nice. Breakfast was good (after I got over the horrible smell from the first room, I couldn’t eat anything the first morning). The girl at the breakfast duty was very clean and attentive. Parking was horrible, hard to find a spot close to where your room was. All the few handicap areas were taken. I had to drop off my husband and then find a spot far and out of the way. I will not book there again. Friendliness and a smile could have gone a long way at making you feel welcome.

The Front Desk Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, place was quiet and I loved their indoor pool. It was very refreshing and rejuvenating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit York, Maine.

We were disappointed with our stay at Best Western Inn at York Maine. The breakfast was unappetizing and unchanged throughout our six-night stay. ( Cold scrambled eggs, pork sausage ,cold bread waffles or pancakes and cereal) Housekeeping only visited on the third day, and despite our request, they did not provide fresh sheets, instead merely making the bed and removing trash. The floors in the room and bathroom were not cleaned, and the beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. The chairs and curtains were outdated. The receipt was slipped under our door on checkout day, which was unprofessional. The hotel seemed understaffed. This experience has led us to decide against returning.

The breakfast was very limited no assortment of foods . With two small children with me the breakfast was pretty limited. And that pancake maker has to go the pancakes are horrible and like leather . Get a decent waffle machine like other hotels and better danish and more assortment of cereals. That was my biggest issue we ended up getting breakfast elsewhere.
