Average stay when it came to the room. Breakfast was overcrowded and did not seem adequate for the amount of people staying there. The side entrances were not secure, didnt have to scan a key card at all and they were not locked. Very disappointed with the pool: there was feces left around the walkway of the pool. No towles. Closed an hour earlier then the time posted on the door to the pool.

On arrival there was trouble with the electrical in the room; it was repaired the next day. The front desk attendant was very kind and got us into the room quickly. The pool area was nice and well kept.

Good hotel at a fair price. Would like to have seen more breakfast items. The pool area needs IMMEDIATE attention. The PH in the hot tub is way off almost acidic. 6 off the jets are not working. The water in the pool (while clean) also chlorine to water off off. The ceiling in the pool are definitely needs painted. Along with exposed wiring near the breaker in the back corner. Rooms ar descent. One queen mattress was medium. The other was rock solid and impossible to get comfortable on. The outlets offered no retention and our plug ins kept falling out. Bathroom was nice. A/C Unit could be more quiet. All around it was good stay.

Dated & dark room. Initial room Was damp, musty & humid. Staffed switched our room, no issues at all. Shower curtain barely fit into tub. Shower grout was dirty. The pool was really gross, rusted & chipped paint everywhere, we didn’t even attempt to get in.

Adequate, but room fridge hadn't been defrosted for ages and while the room was OK, cleaning could be improved behind units (spiders nests). Pool and jacuzzi worked but were very 'tired'.

Stay was great. Clean room. There were some areas that could use updating. But nothing crazy. Breakfast was busy so there were times there was limited pickings but everything I had was tasty. Pool was nice and refreshing and hot tub was nice and relaxing. I would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel overall. Staff was very friendly and responsive and rooms were clean. Only negative was we got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes. Staff had us out and the units up and running again in no time.

Stayed here on a trip to Busch Gardens. As soon as we checked in we were told the pool was closed for "safety reasons" which was super disappointing for our kids. Bathroom was super small, The AC was so loud you could not hear the TV, so we had to keep changing the volume. The fridge was dripping water the entire time because ice had formed at the top and was melting, so we had to put a towel inside of it. We had 2 queen beds but each bed only came with 2 pillows (1 for each person). The bedding and the pillows were paper thin and the beds were uncomfortable. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but we saw some hot food options as we were checking out.

The hotel was average. We selected this hotel because of the pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, the hot tub was cold and both the pool and hot tub are in need of repair. The breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches to heat in the microwave, yogurt, muffins, etc.), but limited hours 7-9am (most hotels go until 10am). The rooms are outdated decor and carpeting, but that was ok for us. There was mold in the grout of the shower. The staff at check in and check out were polite. I appreciated the dark curtains for sleep and it was quiet.

Was waiting in line behind a group that appeared to be getting special teeatment- tours of the facility, etc. I was waiting for a quite a while before anyone helped to check me in. They booked me in a room that already had an occupant who was angry that I tried to get into their room (rightfully so... what a startling thing to happen). Had to go back to down to the lobby and get an empty room assigned to me. It made me feel unsafe as a single female traveler. The coffee machine had roaches crawling out of it, shower curtain was moldy and too short for the tub, the bed skirts were ripped and the towels smelled. Not a great place for the price.

We always check the mattresses for evidence of bedbugs when we arrive at a hotel. The bed comforter had a stain and the mattress had evidence of bedbugs. There were mattress stains and possibly black mold. I found another hotel, wee packed up and left. We told the hotel staff that we would not be staying and I shared photos of the room.

Room was not clean and smelled horrible. Woke up one morning to a roach crawling on the bathroom floor. There was an AC issue in the building which led to no AC in hallways or elevator. The bathroom Was so tiny you couldn’t close the door to use the toilet. The bed was very hard as well.

Very dated hotel, but they are in the process of updating some rooms. There is no ice machine or vending area at all. Had to switch rooms immediately because of a door issue. Room was just ok, certainly could've been cleaned better. Linens had hair stuck in them.

The hotel was fine in shared spaces, but my room smelled terrible- like open sewer. The carpet was dirty, there was mold in the shower, the towels were stained, and everything metal in and around the bathroom was rusted.

It is fine if you are looking for a cheap place to stay, all the staff was very nice and it is in a safe area, but it is essentially an enclosed motel. I have only ever asked twice in my life to change rooms and this was one of them because when we first checked in the room we initially got was gross. I included pictures of the bra from the previous occupant that we found (when we bumped the mattress it feel down, when we got there it was like hanging from the bed) and that along with the mystery brown stain on the other bed were clear signs that the sheets were never changed. That room also had a broken mini fridge. When we asked for a room change we got it right away and all staff members were super nice. The next room had been serviced, but this place is def run down and how clean the room is depends on the day. We were there for 5 nights and 1 night the room was spotless, two it was fine and two they forgot major things like new towels. The front desk staff was always nice. They also run out of food for breakfast each morning, there are three hot items, cereal and toast or bagels with mini muffins and fruit and most days at least 2 or 3 of the 7 items were gone at any given point. The best way I can describe this place is that it was adequate. For the price it was fine, I didn’t feel compelled to change hotels or anything and the pool was great, but this has clearly seen better days and I booked it a while ago, and cleanliness score did not always hit the mark.

This place was meh. ALL lights were out in the entire drive up for check in, making it dark. Several parking lights were out and one of the side door key scanners was out of order so we had to walk all the way around carrying our luggage. Breakfast wasn't good, powdered eggs, rubbery meat, room was NOT vacuumed prior to our stay, there was gum stuck to the side of the nightstand, a booger stuck to the wall, and the furniture was old and run down. Sheets and bathroom smelled clean though? Stayed here because we typically like BW hotels, but we will NOT be back to this one.

Pros: - there is a continental breakfast - the staff are friendly - the location is great Cons: - the walls are paper thin. Unfortunately, I was sandwiched between rooms filled with highschoolers (I think it was a band tournament). The first night I was there they were repeatedly slamming doors close and talking so loudly that I heard every word. At 1030 I'd had enough and called the front desk. The manager on duty, promptly handled the problem by telling the room to quiet it down. They did so for the remainder of the stay - the air conditioner is extremely loud, and during the night it kicks on every 10 minutes. During the day maybe 4 times every hour. It was hard to watch TV when the air-conditioning was running - the TV didn't have program feature/guide that allowed you to preview what was playing. The closed captioning bounced around the screen. Whenever you turned on the TV it went to the weather channel. Not the channel you were last watching. - the stains on the sofa were a bit sketchy. I did not sit on it

Rooms are clean but a little out dated. There was very little breakfast at the times we tried to grab something. Beds were uncomfortable. The staff were friendly.

We spent one night at this hotel. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were like balls with all the crumbled material in them. We couldn't sleep also because of the AC noise. It was loud like a car engine. The next day we were exhausted and couldn't enjoy our trip. The bedding linens were not ironed and all wrinkled. They looked like someone slept on them and were not changed. The flooring in the hallways also needs cleaning. The breakfast was average and unfortunately they use plastic forks and knives which is environmentally unfriendly and tacky for a hotel to use. I can't recommend this hotel.

The property is a bit run down. Our room was outdated and the bed was super hard. Our bathroom wasn't very clean: hair on the shower curtain and around the outside of the tub; extremely dirty ac/heating unit (bunch of dust and hair in the slats); and lots of dust in the bathroom on the mirror and picture. The breakfast was decent with eggs, sausage, and french toast sticks. Most likely will not stay again.

Dated & dark room. Initial room Was damp, musty & humid. Staffed switched our room, no issues at all. Shower curtain barely fit into tub. Shower grout was dirty. The pool was really gross, rusted & chipped paint everywhere, we didn’t even attempt to get in.

Things were generally pretty clean but the shower had Needed to be replaced and the tub was stained and didn't look very clean though I'm sure that the staff did their best. Breakfast was unimpressive with very limited choices. I wasn't grossed out, but i wasn't impressed either. I guess you get what you pay for. Was waiting in line behind a group that appeared to be getting special teeatment- tours of the facility, etc. I was waiting for a quite a while before anyone helped to check me in. They booked me in a room that already had an occupant who was angry that I tried to get into their room (rightfully so... what a startling thing to happen). Had to go back to down to the lobby and get an empty room assigned to me. It made me feel unsafe as a single female traveler. The coffee machine had roaches crawling out of it, shower curtain was moldy and too short for the tub, the bed skirts were ripped and the towels smelled. Not a great place for the price.

The review would have been better, except for this: When I checked in, I was told that I would receive a detailed receipt upon checkout, as well as a folio on the refund of the $100 hold on my card. On checkout, I was told that "we don\'t give receipts". I "argued" with the night desk person, but she was adamant that I was not getting one. As a business traveler, this is essential!! Especially since I paid at the facility, not through the booking company. Was NOT HAPPY, and I have yet to receive the "emailed receipt" either. Also, breakfast was not great.

The check in and checkout was easy. Alisha at the front desk was very cheerful and helpful. This has been my go to hotel for the past 2 years. I wish I would’ve known about it 30 years ago when I started coming there.

Based on the previous reviews I read, I was anticipating a lot better experience than what I received. Upon arriving very early in the morning after driving 6.5 hours, I was greeted by an empty front desk and snoring coming from the back room. After startling the staff member awake with a phone call, I was rudely greeted and treated with attitude when confirming that the reservation would invove checking out at 11:00 the same morning. Once we got our key and finally arrived at our room, it wasn't clean from the previous guests. When we called down to inform the staff member at the front desk, she apologized and reassigned us another room. This one was actually cleaned after the previous guests' departure, but it left a lot to be desired.

We never actually stayed at this hotel because they gave our room away. They checked someone else into our room and "had no clue how it could have happened". I suspect they thought we were not going to show up even though I had put on the reservation that we would check in after 10:00 PM. Not ONCE did they apologize for their "error", and they could not have been interested in the least to help us fix it. Front desk checkin told me they would hold $100 security deposit to be returned after check out. Per policy that I read it should have been $50 per day. Total should have been $100. I checked out Monday morning. It’s Wed and they still have a $279 hold on my account! Drove from Ga to Va 8.5 hrs. I told front desk how tired I was. Why did I get a room right next to noisy elevators? Not much sleep! Will not be staying there more than 2 nights!

This hotel worked great for a weekend trip to Williamsburg for our family. It was easy to get to restaurants, stores, Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and the historic center. Our room was clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was fine, but some items weren't replenished readily (waffles ran out), weren't available (bowls for the cereal, honey to put on biscuits or in tea), or had been sitting out too long (bicscuits were hard and dried out, omelettes were rubbery). Otherwise, it was a great option and we would happily stay here again.

Selected this hotel because of it's proximity to my business conference location (as I was getting around town on foot) in conjunction with the cost. The staff was excellent and my room was perfect for my needs. This hotel is a bit far from the historic district, but I am pleased with my stay and would certainly stay here again.

The description said this property was walking distance to the historic area but there was no safe path to make that walk possible. It was a very short drive but it’s misleading to suggest you can walk there. On a positive note, Terrell, who worked at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful. However, the other front desk staff that we interacted with were unpleasant and seemed annoyed if we asked them any questions. For instance, I inquired about use of a safe box, and the gentleman at the desk said they didn’t have them. However the information sheet in our room said it was an amenity. There was no explanation and no apology. The breakfast service our second morning was missing several items. We asked the woman at the front desk for assistance and her response was when she had a minute she would look. Even with no guests at the front desk , she never came over to the breakfast area to be of assistance nor did she alert other staff that the breakfast area needed attention. The front desk staff, with the exception of Terrell, do not seem to be well suited for working in hospitality. Also the hotel would benefit from some freshening up. Based on this visit I would not consider staying here again.

Breakfast is the main reason I gave the Hotel a 3. They give a 2 hour window to get breakfast. Too many people, too little time. There was always a line going through the eating area, there was never enough tables. The food ran out while Waiting in line, not only once but twice in the same day. You couldn't get to the drinks because the food line was long. I actually waited 30 minutes for breakfast, and did not get breakfast as time ran out.

This Best Western has a similar name to another Best Western several minutes away. Our fault--we showed up first at the wrong place. We found this property somewhat worn and drab. It was not as clean as other properties we used during this trip. The breakfast seemed substantial, but it wasn't pleasing. The milk for breakfast was seriously sour. That made us careful about all other food offered.

The room was fine - the breakfast situation was awful and if it’s like this regularly , then they need a rethink. Just had cereal and no milk (well I used those mini pots for coffee). Nowhere to sit and lots of very frustrated people. The man was doing his best but needed some help.
