They are in the process of renovating all the rooms. I got a new one and it was very nice. Great place for a family stay...tennis courts, pool, DQ next door. Lol. And the food and service at the restaurant there is wonderful. I will certainly stay there again. Location isideal for the bridge and trails.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. I’m a solo traveler and I felt safe. This hotel itself is dated, but clean. It’s a good place to come back and relax after you’ve explored the area. I had a lot of early risers around me (construction) and I never heard anyone from my room. The hotel has a cute little bar and grill and I can see it being a good time during the evening hours. I went during lunch so it wasn’t as busy. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because the pool was not in order. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and I was bummed because an evening at the pool would’ve been nice. This was also a part of the reason that I booked here. Besides the pool, staff was friendly and I felt like everyone was welcoming. The ladies that checked me in and out were so friendly. Knowing the condition of the pool I would still stay here again, but I think it needs to be mentioned, if not already, that the pool is no longer an option.

All lodging around this area are expensive and this one was one of least expensive. It was clean, plenty of parking and convenient location. Breakfast was also good. It is still expensive compared to what it would cost outside of this area.

This is a quaint hotel near the New River Gorge Bridge. It has the old hotel feel with outdoor pool, Pickle Ball and Basketball Courts. There are places to grill and play cornhole. We like the restaurant and bar on the property. the rooms are pretty basic but clean. We would stay again.

The staff is very friendly and polite. We did have an issue with being locked out of our room both days after visiting the pool. The employee was so sweet about the “mistake “ it was hard to be mad. The on site restaurant is very good, I was able to find reasonably healthy food and it tasted great, service fantastic. The property is old and showing west, but did not finish our ability to enjoy the pool and games including pickle ball on-site. The property and rooms could be cleaner and better kept even without investment, however.

We chose this hotel for the outdoor pool. Not sure if the dates were considered off season for an outdoor pool but it was not even close to being ready. Looked like it was filled with sludge. The website boasts a basketball court and a volleyball court. The vb court had no net and the bb court had 1 useable net and 1 without a rim at all. The place is old but clean. I didn’t think the breakfast was bad… just very limited options. Nice people at the desk. The beds are very firm.

This was my second time staying here. The rooms are the cleanest of any hotel I've ever stayed at. I didn't find a single hair, spec of dirt, or dust anywhere! The water pressure is amazing. Overall, it was very quiet there. The traffic isn't noisy and the other guests were considerate. The complimentary breakfast was ok. They offered scrabbled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, yogurt, muffins, donut holes and cereal the one morning that I ate in there. This hotel is convenient to hikes, site seeing, waterfalls, restaurants, stores, any anything else you could imagine. It's the perfect spot, if you ask me! The staff was friendly too. I highly recommend staying here. The only turn off was that there were so many carpenter bees on the stairway of our building during this trip. They didn't sting, but they did fly all around us.

The hotel room was clean and tidy, however, the room smelled musty and there was a mildew problem in the room. It was hard to sleep there and our allergies the next day were awful. When I spoke to the front desk person upon checkout, she was apologetic and gave us a 15% credit, but that wasn’t satisfactory.

Little outdated. Room was clean. Beds were hard. Smelled strongly of chlorine. My door had a small gap in it and you could see outside at the bottom of it. Made me a little nervous since I was staying on the backside of the hotel by myself on the first floor.

It is close to the entrance of New River Gorge, so that's why we booked it. The room was clean, although the carpeting looked old. The bed was comfortable. The breafast is in a separate part of the facility, so we had to walk outside to get there. I appreciated getting a room on the lower level so we didn’t have to climb stairs.

The outside of this property needs a lot of attention, pressure washing, and paint would make a huge difference. As far as the room, it was clean, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the carpet was dated and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint.

Booked for a wedding nearby, travelled in from the U.K. and the receptionist was really helpful finding us a room a little earlier than official check in time. Room was warm (it was -9 outside!), very clean and tidy and good decorative order. We had a fridge and microwave, 2 big beds which were very comfortable, and lots of other facilities. We liked Elliot’s bar and grill, great food and really lovely staff. All hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel for price, staff, amenities and comfort.

Computers crashed right before we got there and had to wait about an hour to check-in. Front desk was nice, but pretty much just said…there is nothing I can do? How is that possible? Hotel is older and not very clean. Our room had a dead bug on the floor with ants crawling on it. Breakfast was good though.

The alarm, or something, was sounding off and on all night in the room next door. There was no where else to move us and the night clerk called me ‘Karen’. I did ask for someone to call me before I wrote a review but so far it’s crickets. Won’t let me add the video of the noise, pictures only. Also, there were ants in the bathroom and hair in the bathtub. Breakfast was okay. The waffles you make yourself and my daughter said the sausage tasted like it had been boiled and she hoped that was butter the eggs were swimming in. Location is convenient but next time I think I’ll book on down the road.

Very pleased with our stay. 7 minutes from the New River Bridge! Dated but very clean. Dog friendly. We ordered from the restaurant/bar on-site both nights. Everything was delicious! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This location is great if you are visiting the Canyon Rim area of New River Gorge National Park. While there is an on-site restaurant, you are just a couple of miles from lots of other options. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. No complaints!

Don't be put off by the outside appearance, the rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The on property dining is great we ate at Guy Ferraris restaurant in Pigeon Forge and the wings at the bar here at this hotel are 10 times better and the service was better to.

The location was central, has an on-site bar and restaurant, and a good free continental breakfast in the gift shop from 6:30-10:00 am! Will definitely stay here the next time I visit New River Gorge. The wings at the restaurant are 🔥!!!
