There are some great things about this hotel. The location is fantastic, near 42nd Street and from there all the subway lines. The beds were comfortable, and the staff is friendly and willing to help. Most of the issues are with the fact that it's a 30-story building with two elevators and five rooms per floor. Getting an elevator can be an issue. The locks on the doors were really tricky--we were told that holding the key near your wallet, other credit cards, your phone, etc will demagnatize it, and that may be true, but it was hard to get into our room even with a brand new key. Going all the way back to the lobby with the busyness of the elevators was a hassle. Also, our air conditioner was VERY noisy and it made it hard to sleep. There wasn't a lot of street noise, though, and that was good. The rooms are tiny. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced room in a good location, this may be good for you, especially if you don't plan to spend much time there.
