Best Western Palmyra Inn & Suites

Did not like the fact that the AC was not working in the lobby and the eating area. Our first room the AC was not cooling but when I called the lobby the receptionist moved us to a room just a few doors. this room was alot better the AC worked. Their breakfast was good but not much of a selection but there was plenty though, you did have to wait since they had quite a few guests. It was a good location for us to do our site seeing we had plan for the two days. The laudry machines washer and dryer were okay but they charge you more that what was noted on them. We then had to deal by email with an outside source to get a refund for the overcharge because the hotel could not help us.

Beautiful grounds with easy parking. Bed was wonderful and shower water was HOT. Fitness equipment could use some TLC and hot tub was down for mx, but breakfast was good and I slept very well.

Seemed like lots of little things around the property were broken. Drink machine, ice machine, etc. also the hot tub was wayyyyy too hot.

Parking lot could have had better lighting and the breakfast was good.

Marginally ok. Hotel was not that clean. Even though we asked for towels at the front desk to use the hot tub they didn’t tell us that the hot tub was not usable and was a cold tub. Location is great, breakfast was ok, bed was decent but lots of issues with cleanliness of lobby and rooms.

Room was very good. No dining available and if you have any phisical impediment, It does not have an elevator to get to the second floor.

Great location, clean, staff was good. No pool to help with time at night.

Nice enough hotel, but not very clean.

The location of this hotel in Palmyra can't be beat for touring historic sites; however, room 108 was not great. The room had a very musty/ damp smell - we bought and used a full bottle of Febreeze room spray in 2 days. The bathroom was not clean - a dead bug on the shower wall, brown spots that wiped away on the shower floor, a used flosser on the tile floor and other people hair all over (floor, shower, toilet). The toilet flush had to be held down until the tank drained for TP to flush down. The walls of the bathroom and room had stains. The TV semi- worked with lines and glitching out every few minutes. Breakfast was fine but as soon items were gone (yogurt, fruit...) there was no restocking. Beds were fine but pillows were small and lumpy. The inside of the hotel could use new lighting and a deep clean. I'd look elsewhere before booking here.

Room was clean and comfortable

Friendly staff. Needs attended to. There was hair in the tub when we got there and lots of dirt on the main staircase thatvwas there in the evening when we checked in and in the morning when we checked out.

Great location for seeing historic sights but not very clean! They could do better! Lots of hair in the bathroom and shower area. Shower and shower curtain were dirty.

This was the dirtiest best western I have ever stayed in, there was hair and mold in the bathroom, hair on the sign on the nightstand, and actually human feces down the side of the toilet. I have photos to back this up.

Everything went so smoothly! We felt very welcome. Breakfast had good variety for my family's various tastes. Our room was clean and had everything we needed.

The staff checking in me in wouldnt talk to me directly, kept talking to my party staying with me. Wouldnt fill me in on what I was signing off on, had to ask...Then gave me a half crap answer. Our key cards did not work when we came back to the hotel room. I went up to the front desk with the card I used to book and my photo ID...The lady working the desk told me she didn't need to see any of that and just asked me for what room number....COMPLETELY UNSAFE..I could have gotten a random persons room key SO EASILY!!!!!! Then we had a dirty used cutip when checking the cleanliness of the room. Right under neath the table by the sofa. The bathroom floor was dirty. The room was in no way swept either. The TV didn't work at all and was "apparently known to front staff". The only pleasant person I came across in our stay there was a lady working breakfast area. Would not stay here again. Displeased with price spent and conditions of room.

Floors in the halls were dirty. The floor in our room was dirty (unvacuumed). The television didn't work, and the desk clerk said "unplug it and then plug it back in." That didn't work either, so my wife mentioned it. He said, "well, that's not uncommon since many guests plug in their video games." Not helpful at all. There was nothing to drink at the breakfast, and no one available to help.

Clean enough room, comfortable bed. Had the king suite so I loved the 2 king beds and the room space. That said, it is dated. The bathroom is very small and there were large stains on the carpet. As other reviews said, the breakfast was limited and I missed it completely because they are only open until 8 and the line was long at 7.

The room we were put into had no working lights above the door area, kitchenette area, and the bathroom. Pretty much anything on a switch. Went to the front desk the guy checked the breakers and said they were all on. He would be down to check what was going on. 1 1/2 hours later gave up and went to bed. Upon checking out notified the attendent and she said oh the breakers weren’t flipped. She acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her to have to deal with it. For the money we had to pay for this room and not even have lights to go to the bathroom or shower is a little ridiculous. It’s a clean place but staff need better customer service and taught what to do when stuff doesn’t work.

Very convenient location and the rooms were large and comfortable. Loved the King-size beds and the beautiful view just out our window.

Extremely comfortable bed. We slept very well. Helpful, personable staff. The location was perfect for our needs.It is obviously not a new building, but it was well kept except they did not pay close attention to drywall finishes around the electric outlets, light switches, etc. and the carpet/rug in the lobby /stairs needs attention.

Great location for seeing the church history sites. Basic Hotel, clean, rooms are large and beds comfortable. Had microwave and small fridge that came in handy. Breakfast was simple and convenient.

The air in our room felt really heavy and wet. It seemed very humid. The air conditioner had some wet areas above it. The bed was a little high for me and the toilet was a little too low.

Great place and great staff! Two notes: the carpet in my room was stained and sad. The walls are very thin and it's too easy to hear the neighbors' TVs.

They sent in a gentleman to fix and he could not. We were told someone would come to help. Help never came. We were never offered any compensation or another room at any time. I mentioned this at check out and at least thought I would get a call from manager to apologize and never heard back.

Unfortunately the reservation was incorrect and they could not accommodate the room we booked. They billed my credit card upon arrival which they clearly stated would occur at check out. The room was so damp out clothes felt wet. Not worth $200 a night but because of the location and no other hotels in the area it’s the only option.

Hello, I'm writing to tell you about our stay on Saturday August 2nd. First, when we entered the hotel it was very warm. I'm not sure if the A/C was not working or not on, but it was very warm throughout the common areas of the hotel. We were not able to use these areas due to this and had to eat our breakfast Sunday morning in our room. We felt bad for the older gentleman sweating as he checked in other patrons. Secondly, the televisions throughout the hotel were not working. This was not told to us before we arrived, or we would have made other arrangements. The ice machine on the floor of our room, the second floor, was not working. There were no towels available in the hot tub area when we went to use it. When I went to take a shower the products supplied were not shampoo and conditioner but conditioner and body lotion, which I did not realize until I was already in the shower, so I was unable to wash my hair. The room was clean and the bed was luckily comfortable. Overall it was not a very good stay. There was only one gentleman on staff at the desk throughout our stay and he consistently had a long line of people at the desk so speaking to him about any of these issues, even if he could have addressed them, was very inconvenient. The night lady was a super help! Keep her around! Very accommodating!

The hotel is badly understaffed and what staff there was at the front desk was pretty terrible. Their policy is that if you want your room cleaned, you must request it before noon. I did that each day of my stay and each day the gentleman at the desk told me I might or might not have the room cleaned as they had a group coming in each day. The room was never cleaned, no clean towels were ever provided and I was spoken too quite rudely by the gentleman at the desk in the morning each day.

What a appreciated most, was that at 8pm the people in the next room checked in, making a ton of noise, after 30 min I couldn't take listening to kids screaming, banging on walls, walking in and out of the room, letting the door slam. The walls are very thin. I called the desk and within 5 min I had a new room. Peace and quiet again. Awhhhhh. My room was clean, and the front desk was EXCELLENT!!!! Thank you.

Nice place. Good room. Clean. Only real problem is they lack enough help. Couldn’t get room clean by check in time and couldn’t get clean again while there.

If you are in Palmyra to see the LDS historical sites, this is a great location. Close to everything. If you are not, it's just the opposite. There is nothing in walking distance. But the the city of Palmyra is only 8 minutes away.

Great, clean place to stay! Very kind staff. The building is older but well maintained and clean, did not feel dirty to us. In a very safe, quiet, and beautiful area of Palmyra! Walking distance to the temple and sacred grove. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice and quiet hotel with very comfortable beds....not much to see or do in the immediate area.

We stayed at best western in palmyra in middle of 11 day trip to niagara falls and finger lakes area. It was a welcome break from hustle and craziness in other areas. Peaceful area in a country type setting. Nice hour or hour and a half drive to rochester, watkins glen, ithaca, and many more tourist locations.

Close to the LDS Palmyra historic sites.

Very convenient to the Smith Family Farm, the Hill Cumorah, and Grandin's Print Shop. The room was nice, but over priced. I guess it's all about supply and demand.

2 hours before arrival they called and said they had an emergency and instead of our 2 rooms, could we all fit in one room? We are 2 families with 4 adults and 2 older kids fitting into one, 2 queen room, for 2 nights? We said we didn’t think so. I believe the emergency was a bus full of teenagers that had arrived. The TV didn’t work at all the 2 days we were there, the washing machine was out of order, the metal rail in the tub was pulling away from the wall showing the anchor screws, broken tissue holder and broken particle board below the refrigerator. First breakfast was a mess. Only sausage and one goopy waffle maker, cereal on the floor, milk spilled on the counter, bagel cut and just left on the counter, no forks and no hotel person around to ask for forks. To be fair, the bus of teenagers had gone to breakfast before us and things were a mess. I was surprised they didn’t have a staff member in the eating area. The waffle, however was tasty! The second morning breakfast was much nicer. Not a great hotel stay.

The hotel room was just OK but not as clean as I would have liked. Breakfast was not great neither. The only good thing was it was quiet but too far out and no amenities near by.

Our room was clean and beds were comfortable although our bathroom walls were being fixed and still needed painting. I thought for the price of the room it should have been nicer. Arriving for breakfast at 7am (opening time), the first morning of our stay, the eggs and sausage were already cold. The next morning they were at least warm. Compared to other hotels we have stayed in, the breakfast foods should have been better and hot.

What is unique is that it's so close to Palmyra and the Church historic sights. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the bathroom and lack of available breakfast options was disappointing.

A real gem. Very clean and large rooms. Very comfortable bed, pillows and bedding. Disappointed in the breakfast though. Only two hours in duration and they stop resupplying 15 minutes before shutting down the breakfast.

The only thing I didnt like was the breakfast, the juice machine was broken and there was no bottled OJ, the only fruit was apples. There were not fixings for a bagel breakfast sandwich. Very disappointing. I dont expect much in the way of the complimentary breakfast, but this did hit a very low set bar. The Staff was excelent, the grounds well kept and the room was clean and comfy.
