Smelly, had to register with a virtual screen that was hard to understand, dirty, no elevator, hot, noisy, could hear everything our neighbors said.

Check in is done through a video chat with someone who is not on property. Did not see anyone working when we arrived. The lobby area had a strong unpleasant odor. There is no elevator. Our room was 86 degrees upon arrival and smelt like the lobby but worse since it was hot and more contained. Opened the fridge to see black mold along the seal and noticed the fridge was not plugged in so it smelt badly. We did immediately request to cancel our reservation. We did have to contact Expedia through Chat and they were unable to speak with anyone about a refund so it has been escalated to their offline team so we are currently waiting for a response.

Red Roof Inn & Suites Middletown - Franklin is not the best motel, it’s not the worst. The room was large and fairly clean and not too expensive and the staff was friendly so if that’s what you’re looking for then this is the place. A remote human in a robot iPad screen checks you in but if anything goes wrong there is an actual human onsite. The lobby and stairwell smell of cigarettes and slight mold, there is no elevator and we could never get on their wifi but as I said, we were just looking for a large, inexpensive room with two beds to throw our things in and sleep at night so Red Roof Inn worked for our needs.

Overall, the visit was good on July 26-27. The check in and check out at the Kiosk was ok, but at times it seemed a hard to hear the staff. Both Jeremy and Mia were awesome, they were both polite and didn't mind repeating themselves. The rooms were clean and quiet. Parking was a little tight for big vehicles.

My friend and I had a good stay...The pool was salt water. We didn't get a Continental breakfast and the coffee they did offer was barely warm...But we would stay again.

Great location and clean rooms. The pool is an added bonus too. 👍👍

I had talked to a person on a laptop to sign in which I think is very impression. There is a person that is in the hotel area sheets, head bad things and disgusting these hoes in the door looks like it needs to get fixed up.the pool was in good shape though

Room was sufficient. Pool had dirt in bottom, and pool area wasn’t well-maintained. No elevator, so keep that in mind for accessibility and luggage. Convenient location and good price. Right next to McDonalds.

Roaches in the room on the floor we paid weeks in advance to come to this place we did not stay there we got two rooms at a different hotel at 2am we were lucky those were the last rooms they had and we two small children. We will never rent at the red roof inn apparently no one inspects these hotels.

My family of 3 stayed here while visiting for a high school graduation. We checked in and immediately went back to the front desk to switch rooms because it was filthy. Yellow stains on the bedding, hair in the tub, fridge still had leftovers, the bathroom wasn’t even clean. I’ll spare you the awful details. They put us in a 2nd room. Similar to the 1st but change yellow stains to a blood stains. Back to the front desk and this time the desk cleric did a walk through with my husband for the 3rd room it was also badly stains. We settled with the 4th room. Still had blood stained sheets we didn’t charco till bed time, hair and a contact in the tub. Fridge was cleaner but not clean. Some beverage stains running down the wall. Chipped paint. By the end of the trip we noticed that room service only consisted of clean towels and taking out the trash. They made the beds but never change the sheets that was a 4 day stay. They gave us enough towels for 2 people and nitpicked when we asked for extra. Customer service was only decent the day we checked in.

Room were absolutely disgusting!!! Stains all over bedding and hair. Floors were dirty. Basically everything in the room was stained up and dirty.

Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else if you can. Very outdated, dirty. Staff was able to change our room due the smell of cat pee.The new room is

This was probably the grossest hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything was low-quality, and every towel, bedsheets, etc. had multiple stains on it Nothing about the place made me feel like it was clean or fresh.

Bath tub and sink doesn't drain. Has roaches.

1st room bedding was dirty with what appeared to be blood stains. 2nd room had strong smell of mothballs and Heat/AC unit on/off button cover was worn off.

The rooms are nasty. Dog fever in the halls. No customer services. Roaches and bed bugs. I took pictures of was moved rooms. Next room had the same I was promised a refund then wasn’t refunded. Bed bugs and roaches. Left my suitcase and spent a lot of money to clean what I could salvage. Hoping I don’t take them home.

For a non smoking hotel it was almost unbearable with all the smoke in the hallways. Ive been in smoking bars with less smoke. When we got to rooms they felt damp, and sheets where dirty and stained. We had to strip beds and take bedding to the front in order to get another set. Not enough towels and they asked for them to be returned (we had to take to desk instead of being brought to room)before you could get more. Staff over all seemed like they were being bothered when we needed anything. I remember back in day red roof being a decent and nice, guess those days are gone. But if the event that brought use there returns we will not be staying there again.

The lobby was muggy as if the air was not working. Hoped that my room would be cool. Walked in and the room was hot as heck. Turned on the air which took forever to cool down room. Never really was comfortable, but tolerable. The bathroom shower knob was about to fall off. Coffee maker didn’t work. Had to ask for more towels. We had 3 people registered for the room but only 2 towels. Beds were not super comfortable. It was an OK place to hang for the night, but was nothing special.

The room was average. You can you could hear every little noise from The Other rooms? The young guy at the front desk was very polite and friendly.

Didn’t care for the virtual check in and the bed was rock hard!!

Pillow cases aren’t clean and shower hot water takes 15mins to heat up. Heat takes more than an hour to heat up too. Other than that, everything was great!

Main issue was the MATTRESS!! OMG we had notified front desk that it felt like laying on straight metal box springs with no padding. No help so we flipped it over and rotated. Helped a little. Shower water pressure Bad, took forever to rinse off soap and shampoo. Sometimes saving money isn't worth the aggravation and sleepless nights. Will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN....

Building reeks of weed. Shower faucet was broken and had to change rooms. Second room tv remote did not work. Bathroom light flickered so bad I could have had a seizure. Room was clean though. Beds comfortable.

Too much staff onsite to not have a human being at the check in. I found it rude and off putting to have a manager (twice) stare at me while I was checking in, they are just sitting down at the chair in the lobby. I thought the room size was fine however, I could hear every single foot stuff outside my door. I could hear every laugh every bump of the house keeping cart. Getting ready in the morning staff were cleaning rooms before ten am. Very loudly. There was a gap under the door. You could hear everything going on outside. I got to the point I had to turn my music on just to drown out the staff who was walking up and down the hallways all morning before checkout. And yes it was staff walking up and down up and down. The virtual man who checked me in was fine, he was the best part of the experience and he wasn’t even there. not sure what back room he’s being kept in or if he was even close by. Human beings want human interaction for business transactions I will not be staying at this hotel again in future, and will be removing it from my list of places to stay. No more humanless check-ins. If you do have to stay here, ask for a room away from the front desk and preferably on the second floor. I’ve stayed close to the front desk before and never had that much noise.

I paid 200$ for 2 nights. The first night my room was one of 7 to not have any power. The night shift lady was rude and hanging out with a bunch of kids at 2am and refused to move my room or refund me. Couldn't us the pool, multiple unattended kids on FaceTime and recording people in their bathing suits and throwing water on people they didn't know. Bed sheets were stained everywhere and had hard stuff stuck to them. Shower head clearly hadn't been cleaned ever and parts of the shower were falling off. Worst experience and waste of money ever. And the customer servic line didn't do a single thing to help. I paid 100$ plus for a night I didn't even have power in my room.

The room we stayed in was great. They were all very friendly and helpful. You could tell they have done remodeling. Its not like alot of the complaining.

Can’t never get any help when go to front desk!

Everyone that works here is super sweet and very accommodating. I highly recommend.

Front desk workers were literally cussing each other and pushing shoving. Some random guy who didn’t even work there said “yeah they do this all the time let me see if I can get their attention for you”

The hallway was gross and had obviously been sprayed with air freshener in an attempt to cover up another smell. The first room we were assigned was locked from the inside and the employee was unable to gain access. The second room had blood on the sheets and dirty towels in the sink. We attempted a 3rd room but it reeked of mold/mildew; upon inspection, the air conditioner was completely full of mold. The one upside was that the gentleman at the front desk was accommodating and refunded our money without any issue.

The staff here are always super friendly and helpful. It's always clean I have no complaints.

Location was nice, but needs to be seriously cleaned and updated. Will not return to this location.

It's a newer refurbish and this not the most aesthetically pleasing it's clean and near many stores.

Decent location just off the interstate and near food options. Basic but clean rooms. Had a problem with the heater and they changed our rooms immediately.

We liked the overall cleanliness, the beds were alright but could be more comfortable. The linens were clean and adequate. The bathroom was clean too. Overall a good place, right on I75.

I guess it was pretty typical for that price range but the rooms were pretty run down, toilet paper holder was falling out of the socket, the bathroom door was unfinished plywood with multiple stains and a large hole in it, carpet old and stained, Entire place smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess the bed was fine and sheets clean which was the main reason we were there, no breakfast, wouldn’t stay again. Also our room was right next to the back door which was NOT locked, anyone could come in at any time of the night, so a little disconcerting

The room was clean. The bed comfortable. Staff business like, not real welcoming. Only offered coffee in the morning and no sweetener options. Just sugar. The hotel appeared clean, but there was a very strange odor. Not exactly sure what it was, but it smelled like marijuana. Could have been some chemical or something....? I suggest some deodorizers might help. Price was OK, I guess.

They advertise that the room are all newly renovated. Our room was in bad shape and definitely not recently renovated. Paint missing in some spots, bathroom fan bearing going bad, the tiolet paper holder was broken, and one of the lights was burnt out. As far as cleanliness, the sheets were stained and there was mold on the top edge of the shower. And service was not much better, there was one employee that sat in the lobby all night and morning talking and watching his phone. Whenever anyone ask a question, he just point to the desk without saying a word to any guest. When I booked this room, it said there was free breakfast, when I asked where it was, I was told they only fo free coffee, no breakfast. I will never stay there again.

If you’re looking for glamping you found your place. The rooms they advertised as newly remodeled is a joke. Fresh paint to cover the cot of a bed. The bed had a metal frame that you knocked your knees on. The 4 inch thick mattress really lets you feel the springs from the frame. The mold in and around the fridge was a beautiful site. The breakfast area which the only gives you coffee was interesting. They called me twice to make sure I was coming and asked me what time I was going to be there. Never had that happen before. When I was checking out at 6:45 in the morning the lady working the counter was rude. We stood there a few years ago and it’s truly gone to crap.

I've stayed here appx. 6 times. Probably will try another nearby hotel. Though no fault of management, we had an adjoining room with a very loud trio making noise until after 2am. We had words, but in typical selfish fashion, which is more the norm these days, they continued on... And, when I REALLY needed my morning coffee, none was available.
