The pool was getting cleaned when I arrived and I asked if it would open at all during my stay. They said yes, in about an hour, they actually called my room to let me know that it was ready. I thought that was very thoughtful!

Clean property and rooms. Friendly staff. Definitely needs a breakfast upgrade. One of the most basic breakfasts other than a waffle maker.

We booked this hotel for several days while attending an event in Marshall, MN. I specifically chose a hotel with a pool for my daughter to enjoy. When we arrived, my daughter felt sick to her stomach from the smell inside the hotel. Because of this, we drove her 2.5 hours back to the Minneapolis area to stay with family. We then drove home ourselves and made the 2.5-hour trip back to Marshall the next morning. The following night, my girlfriend and I attempted to stay. Around 1:30 a.m., the fire alarms repeatedly went off, and we ultimately decided to leave and drive 2.5 hours home. After that experience, the next night we chose not to attempt another stay and made the drive home again. We never untucked the blankets or made a mess in the room. When returning the key cards, I explained our experience and asked if they could work with us on a refund. I was told no, with the "Do Not Disturb" sign that had been left on our door from the fire-alarm night given as the reason. I can only speak about what my family and I personally experienced, but I was extremely disappointed with how our situation was handled. I felt there was very little concern shown for what we had experienced or the significant extra driving it caused us. Based solely on our experience, we would not stay here again.

Overall the stay was good. It is not the nicest hotel by any means, but we do prefer this to the others in Marshall. The only real downfall to our stay was the tub had a huge crack in it and I didn't feel real safe using it.
