North Town Inn & Suites

Close to where I am building a cabin. Need to get the ice maker fixed.

Quiet, however outdated. Ice machine out of order, bathroom has visible holes in the walls.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shower had excellent pressure. Wi-fi was fine. However, felt that amenities were lacking for the price compared to comparable places. Ice machine was out of order and no back-up plan ("but you can walk across the street for ice"). Small room with no place to hang coat. Chair, but no place to set a laptop computer. Stairway railing is missing. Continental breakfast was adequate, but less than most. Location was perfect for us so, actually, would stay again.

I would not stay there again. The beds were too soft and no elevator to the second floor. Toilet was very low, hard to sit down on and hard to get off. Shower had no rounded out bar shower was very small. My body touched both the wall and shower curtain. Place was very clean

When we arrived we walked into someone else in our room. We had to swap rooms with them because they had already settled into the room. The TV was super small and it was very outdated. No elevator. Just overall not that impressed.

MY room felt clean. Staff was helpful friendly . Property was very well lighted on outside at night. Back door actually did lock behind me had to use card to get in. Negatives.. My room had an order smelled like disinfectant. Had to ask for new TV remote wouldn't not change channels, then one I got wouldn't adjust sound or shutoff TV. Noticed missing smoke or fire detector in room. Wires hanging down.The hotel met my needs for a night. Would stay again

Outdated hotel, no elevator. It’s ok for spending a night- right off the highway. Excellent burgers and good beer across the road from the hotel.

The front door to building didn't look like it closed correctly. Snow piles in parking lot still in the way. Walked in the room to a smell that made me feel almost ill. Housekeeping left a doorstop in the walkway, with loaded arms I tripped. To say a few things.

Found an allergy pill that wasn’t ours in the floor in our room, the walls had boogers on them as well as other weird stains/marks.. the paint job in the room was horrible very streaky could have used 2 coats of paint. coffee they provided for breakfast was ok.. could use some muffins or donuts, fresh fruit to go with it. also the back door to the motel was out of order so it stayed unlocked for our stay… very unsafe.

There were some shops across the road from the hotel. Parking was okay, al lit parking lot. However the door on the other end of the hotel wasn't secure, the lock was broken.

Very clean

From the lobby to the room, we found the hotel to be very clean and well-taken care of. Everything seems to have been recently re-painted and freshened up! The staff at the desk was friendly and efficient, and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of our room - our main priority when traveling. (The only area we noticed that was a bit messy was the laundry area and that might have been from an untidy customer.)

Hotel smells terrible. It has a moisture/mold issue they are trying to cover up with cheap air fresheners. Smell was so strong it was giving me headaches. Not ideal for a deer hunter on opener weekend. The hotel has nice new carpet, new paint. It looks like they are trying, but they really need to take care of the water/mold issue before they should rent out any rooms.......

The room had cockroaches in it. The main dresser had sticky residue on it. Other than those 2 things it was fine

When we went to check in, they could only find one room under my phone number. He acted like Inaas lying and turned the screen towards me and said see. Just one. It had listed my second occupant as the second room. So I pointed and that one is also under my phone number. When we got in the room, there were black spots on the walls. They were “fuzzy”. There were also smashed dead bugs on the walls. The headboards were full of dust. There was some streak of dark red/brown on one duvet cover. The bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling and the corner walls of the shower. There was also crumbing paint/wall area around the top of the shower panel. For $129 a night this place is disgusting. We just came from the boundary water. We were a week in the nature. I felt cleaning coming out of the woods then Indid leaving that hotel. I have more photos but it’s not letting me add them.

Slept well. Rooms are clean, plenty of hot water for an enjoyable shower. Staff is friendly, willing to assist. The forest is close enough, so in the morning you feel refreshed. Enjoyable stay.

Rooms are good. Outside needs some work.

First off the suit that I had reserved is all in one area/room, there was no separate bedroom as advertised. Second of all there is a hole in the wall behind where the door opens to. Third thing I didn't like is that I couldn't get my TV to come on, only to find out that there was supposed to be a second remote (auxiliary) that wasn't there nor did the staff ever bring me one. Fourth thing is that the one remote I had wouldn't change the volume or do much of anything and had the battery cover taped on it. I had to manually turn the TV on as well as change the volume. Fifth thing is it would take two somethings 3 flushes of the toilet to get it to work and take down anything it it. Sixth thing is that when I went to take a shower around nine the next morning all I could get is cold water. And the seventh thing is that the grass wasn't cut for some time now and there was garbage spread about in it as well as the parking lot. There wasn't anything special about this place and/what it has to offer, other than a bed to sleep on if a person absolutely needs one. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for any kind of vacation or more than a desperate night's stay, nor will ever go back!

It was convenient location to where we were visiting. However the property is becoming run down and dated. Our room was clean and quiet. There’s no breakfast at this facility and nothing really close except a bar and gas station across street. The staff was friendly and offered information for places to go for dinner

The room was basic with a small tv you had to manually use the power button for. It had a working fridge but no coffee maker. There was a microwave but I didn’t use it. It had dead flys in the window & when walking past the main floors rooms, some had broken windows & looked disheveled. It was a bit overpriced for what you get, but it was close to a state park, having a gas station with food options right across the street. All in all, it saved me a long drive back to the cities after an all day hike.

Internet was poor but if you want hot water you better turn ‘on the Faucet 10 minutes early and then be satisfied with warm water.

Good basic clean room. Price was very reasonable. It had a nice big walk in shower which is unusual for a basic room. Fast check in. It was nearly full but nice an quiet. Close to Grand Casino Hinckley, the rooms there were 3x the price. A great place to stay if you are going to the casino. I would go back again.

Hotel was dated, you could tell right away. Room was clean but smelled like bleach. Bed was not the best. You get what you pay for, got a good deal so I wasn’t mad.

I think the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. Got the luxury of waking up at 2:00am by someone's dog barking inside this place. Would rather sleep on my car next time. Maybe if I brought ear plugs. Just my experience nothing more nothing less.

This hotel is a good place to stay if all you want is a place to sleep. It's a no-nonsense, standard, good enough hotel that is less expensive than those around the casino in Hinckley. Only complaint I have is that the bed was not soft at all.

The young man that was at the desk was very friendly and helpful. He helped with a smoke detector that was beeping because of a battery issue by moving us to a different room and then had to come back and help us get channels to work on our tv.

We stayed only one night but the personal service we received was just excellent. They went above and beyond, anticipating our needs and offering to help. The price was far below anything else around. The room was not fancy, but for the price it suited our needs. Thank you too the staff.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. After getting about 6" of snow, i ended up stuck in the driveway. NOT the hotels fault, the county hadn't been there yet to clean the parking lot when i had to leave. The young man on duty did everything he could to get me unstuck. Rooms were very clean and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE! Would definitely stay again

Front desk lady was very rude. Charged me f ohh r my service animals which no hotel/motel has never charged me. Very judgmental and aggressively rude. Will never stay at this property again

I enjoyed staying here. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. It’s close in proximity to Hinckley and quiet which I like. I would highly recommend staying here. The staff was extremely helpful and patient while I was having issues with my car as well. You will be happy you chose this hotel.

An initial concern was that the address is listed as Finlayson, MN, which resulted in us not staying on Hwy 35 and getting off track--about a 20-30 minute detour/delay. If the directions had indicated Junction Hwy 35 and State 23 we would have driven right to it.

Property was ok a little dated. Location was pretty much isolated. There were some venues across the street that seemed to serve the purpose for hotel guests.

There's a gas and store right across from the hotel. Next to highways, the hotel has views of the forest and such.

It was a bargain stay, We felt it was clean and updated. Slept well on the mattress and did not have odors in the room. It is a tired hotel, but for the convenience of staying where we did, and the low price we did not expect much more. There is groceries & a little restaurant across the street with a gas station,

Good location and great value

Very nice staff, 1 minute from Banning State Park, right off the highway, clean, reasonably priced.

I felt like I got what I paid for which was a place for the night. My only complaint is there is no free breakfast and I wish they would take that down. It’s not walkable but the state park is amazing and I think it’s an easy drive to anywhere!

Well it was old and out of date, not even any fruit or muffin the next morning and coffee was t ready

Comfortable and quiet - nothing special but convince store and bar directly across the street was nice - no breakfast but instant coffee available 24 hrs
