If you like quality for your money, then this place is for you. It's simple accomodation - clean, everything is operational, and breakfast is very good. The place is older and elevator is awkward and small but functional. The place is across from a laundry place and around the corner from the metro. Definitely would return again someday.

Séjour d'une nuit pour passer 2 jours à Athènes. Hôtel très bien situé car tout proche du métro. En 2 stations on se retrouve dans le centre d'Athènes. Par contre chambre exiguë, salle de bain minuscule et mauvaise insonorisation. Malgré que la chambre se situait au niveau 3 on entendait très bien les bruits de la rue. Petit déjeuner correct. Compliqué l'utilisation des ascenseurs. Soit on fait monter les valises soit c'est nous. Le personnel de l'accueil était très agréable et serviable.

Okay, this is typical shoebox hotel, which is not a problem if you planning just to sleep there and take a shower. They elevator can be a serious challenge for people with claustrophobia. There is literally nothing worth your attention around this hotel. The nearest tourist attraction is at least 25 minute of pretty energetic walk, and i am talking about walking shortest distance, meaning local streets. Which are not really clean and maintained around the area and borderline safe as i saw few bums laying down on the street just few blocks away. So i advice to use a taxi especially if you are coming back late. Hotel doesn't have electric locks at the door and you have to leave a key on reception every time you are living the place. The place is like stock in 60's of the last century The good thing is that one of the stops for Hop-on-hop-off busses just 20 meters away from the place. Another thing the place is relatively cheap. But i wouldn't stay there next time, i rather pay more but be in the better area.

Mycket bra rengöring och skötsel av rummet. Vi var där i 5 dagar. Frukosten var bra för ett hotell i denna prisklass. Hotellets läge är utmärkt för att upptäcka Aten, nära till allt och med Metro statio 100 m bort. Gratis parkering bakom låst grind. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal.//Ronny

Loved the location and accessible to public transportation including tour buses. Great restaurants nearby as well as lots of places to shop. The one drawback was the smell of urine walking to the shops nearby. Overall, quaint and eclectic with a cute social area for lounging.

Great location, walkable to restaurants and the sights of Athens. Friendly and helpful staff. The interconnecting rooms were great for a family. Rooms were smaller in size as it's an older style hotel but very clean. Nice breakfast.

Et flott hotell med sentral beliggenhet. Vi bedt om et rom mot gården slik at vi kunne unngå støy fra sentral gate. Rommet var veldig koselig og komfortabel. Sengen, sengetøy og håndkleet var bra. Det var toalettartikler inkludert. Vannkoker. En eske med myke kosmetiske servietter i dispenser-eske. Vi likte også at fjernkontroll for TV lå i en plast cover (det så hygienisk ut). Klimaanlegg fungerte bra. Internett virker perfekt. Det var veldig stille og vi sovet på dette rommet veldig godt. Vi fikk veldig bra hjelp i resepsjonen. Hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personal, ingen språk problemer. Vi var kjempe fornøyd med oppholdet.

Let's start with the bad stuff: * The curtains do not block light at all, they just turn it red, so sleeping past sunrise is tricky * In my first room the toilet seat didn't stay up and the safe was already locked * In my second room (we stayed twice on our journey) the AC leaked water over night and flooded the doorway * They give you a key with a massive metal slab attached which is required to be in a slot to enable power in the room. Because of this, many people apparently lose the keys out of their pocket and so they require you to leave the keys every time you leave. * Because of the above you cannot charge anything when you're not in the room. * The immediate area is reasonably safe, but the cab driver warned us that about two blocks in one direction was incredibly unsafe. * As others have mentioned, it's *incredibly* loud when anyone comes or goes, especially the housekeepers. * It's literally the hardest bed I've ever slept on * The minifridge in the room wasn't functioning well so the freezer part just leaked water all over everything else. * The AC has no thermostat, it's just on or off (with 3 fan speeds), so you will wake up in the middle of the night freezing or sweating depending on whether you go to sleep with it on or off. Although close to the Metro our party preferred to use taxi/Uber type services to get to the more well-known attractions like the Parthenon. The hotel was nice enough, there was a good breakfast included in the room rate, the mattresses were hard though so sleeping wasn’t great. Overall the staff were helpful. There was a great bar nearby for some afternoon drinks and a lovely fish bar that treated us like locals.

We loved the hotel! The location was convenient, very comfortable and beautiful. They 24 hour service was awsome! Both Yannis and George were of great help! We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very well positioned for a visit to the main sights of Athens and for downtown exploring. Although close to the Metro our party preferred to use taxi/Uber type services to get to the more well-known attractions like the Parthenon. The hotel was nice enough, there was a good breakfast included in the room rate, the mattresses were hard though so sleeping wasn’t great. Overall the staff were helpful. The best staff I’ve seen in a hotel in years. Good location, few steps from Metaxourgeio metro station, very safe. Fresh and taste breakfast with healthy options. I’ll definitely return to Katerina on my next trip to Athens. If you’re like me who needs a hotel to rest and sleep (who spends the entire day walking and sightseeing), that’s the place also for you.

Okay, this is typical shoebox hotel, which is not a problem if you planning just to sleep there and take a shower. They elevator can be a serious challenge for people with claustrophobia. There is literally nothing worth your attention around this hotel. The nearest tourist attraction is at least 25 minute of pretty energetic walk, and i am talking about walking shortest distance, meaning local streets. Which are not really clean and maintained around the area and borderline safe as i saw few bums laying down on the street just few blocks away. So i advice to use a taxi especially if you are coming back late. Hotel doesn't have electric locks at the door and you have to leave a key on reception every time you are living the place. The place is like stock in 60's of the last century The good thing is that one of the stops for Hop-on-hop-off busses just 20 meters away from the place. Another thing the place is relatively cheap. But i wouldn't stay there next time, i rather pay more but be in the better area.

Loved the location and accessible to public transportation including tour buses. Great restaurants nearby as well as lots of places to shop. The one drawback was the smell of urine walking to the shops nearby. Overall, quaint and eclectic with a cute social area for lounging.

The hotel is located in a bad area. A block away is a tent street full of junkies. Although staff is making sure you are safe and are very nice and friendly, I would choose a different location. Rooms are dated and not what I expected. For the one night we were there, it was ok

Ett trevligt hotell med fräscha rum som hade AC. Bra och god frukost samt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Hotellet var jättebra! Metron låg 2-3 minuter från hotellet och inom några minuter var man i Atens hjärta. Det är att rekommmendera att ta metron till de centrala delarna. Det är tryggt runt hotellet och metron, men några sidogator längre bort var det lite hemlösa som bodde, så tar man metron är det absolut inga problem. Väldigt prisvärt hotell!

We were coming in to Athens for 2 nights stay, before our cruise out of Piraeus. After a redeye flight from Philadelphia to Athens, we took the metro from the airport. The metro station was about 150 yards walking to the Katerina Hotel. We got there around 2pm, we stopped in Acropolis for lunch and quick look see before going to the hotel. They allowed us to check in early. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable for 2 people. Not new, but in good condition. This included breakfast, which was comparable to places like a Holiday Inn. The location was also great in relation to our Viator excursion to Meteora. It was the next Metro station from the hotel. It was close enough to walk to. As far as hotel, the bathroom shower was very good, with above average water pressure and hot. There were two 1-2 person elevators, small, but functional. Overall it was a very good experience.
