This hotel is one step better than sleeping outside. The only reason I ignored the reviews and stayed here was World Cup Soccer was in town, and everything else was more than $250. The room doors lock and the toilet flushes but that's about all that There was grunge everywhere. No ice machine. Everything is broken or worn out. Some guests were clearly permanent residents. The desk clerk was apologetic. I didn't give her a hard time because it wasn't her fault. I think she was one of the down-on-luck permanent residents, taking care of the desk and doing some housekeeping in lieu of paying rent.

We immediately checked out after seeing the rooms. Smoke detector was missing, cleaning was not thorough, and one of the rooms had not been cleaned at all.

Room was not the cleanest but not the worst. It was pet friendly. WiFi was difficult to connect and didn’t work very well when connected. TV remote was broken. Sink faucet was not working very well… just a tiny stream of water.

There was a cockroach in the wall of our room. While the staff were setting up the extra bed, the cockroach crawled back into the wall, and no one acknowledged it or apologized. I had originally booked a double queen room, but instead of moving us to the correct room or relocating us, an extra bed was brought in from the hallway where it was stored with other items and squeezed into the room. We waited a very long time for the bed to be set up.The maintenance staff who handled the bed were kind and professional. However, the two front desk staff members we interacted with—both at check-in and when we came down to report the issue—were very nonchalant, did not address the situation appropriately, and did not offer any apology, which made the experience even more frustrating and disappointing.
