Black out curtains full of holes, room above garbage bins and woken by truck. Restaurant and pool bar closed during our stay. Lift out of order at our end of hotel. Checkout staff couldn’t readily provide me with a copy of my room service bill. Will not stay here again.

We had a staycation at the Vibe which was fantastic. The location was great as we were seeing a show at the Darwin Festival. We didn’t have to worry about the car (car park attached) Room service menu was great and so was the food. The room, location and friendly staff made it a great weekend for us. Thank you

I had problems accessing the hotel from the car park on two occasions. The key would not open the lock from the car park to the hotel. Room service meal on the first night was ok but on the second night was very poor. KFC would have been better. Also the choices were limited. For instance the only ice cream option was vanilla . Not very exciting for children

It was a not so good stay…… Location is top feature Firstly the room advertised on hotels.com was not the room I was given?? Had to pay extra Fridge froze my cream, dip& tomatoes etc sadly just had to throw them out !!! Noticed some of the mini bar frozen too It was on 1 so wasn’t too high bit of a loss I think it’s getting tired the Hotel!!! Fridge had rust on door bathrooms taps dirty etc Sadly first time we went to take car out the staff member had not taken the care to put barcode on correctly so we could get out!!! So all in all disappointed!!!

I stayed here for 3 nights for work, the 2nd night the fire alarm on the ceiling went off at midnight, I was woken by the ear piercing noise. I called the receptionist immediately, they sent 2 people to my room and they had to remove the alarm (not legally allowed) from the room to prevent the alarm going off again. The reason I was given for this incident was that the hotel waits till clients reporting the noise before replacing the battery. I found this unbelievable, what happened to the routine preventive maintenance? What happens if the fire alarm goes off 3am? There’s no consideration of the disruption to the guest.

Older hotel in very good location near the waterfront. Small rooms and bathrooms. Checking in was ok for us but our friends with two other rooms had extreme difficulties. We arrive a few minutes early about 2:30 and their rooms weren’t ready. That’s ok because we were early and staff said they’d be ready by 3:00. But there was an IT issue and the system was down. During this time a fire alarm sounded, the FD responded. But it was a false alarm. Finally after waiting 3 hours our friends were given their room cards. We included breakfast with our reservation and it was goid.

The staff at vibe were absolutely amazing. They could t have been more helpful when they learnt my daughter had a fear of elevators and moved us to a lower room. They also then helped move us to another room when the bathroom fan didn’t work. Nothing was too much of a hassle. The downside for this place is it is in dire need of some repairs. The bathroom had a lot of mould around the edges of the window and chips out of the bath . The fridge was rusted and the carpet ha looking worn. The beds weee comfortable though! The location was amazing and the breakfast bar was delicious.

Rooms in terrible condition. Grotty, poor maintenance and the halls and rooms smell of mildew and air conditioners that desperately need cleaning and likely pose a health risk. Location is good but could not recommend this hotel.

Air-conditioning dicnot get cool enough. Fridge was all rusty along the bottom of the inside and outside of the door. Dispensers in the shower where very dirty and all clogged up. Back of the bathroom door was very dirty looked like old dried blood splattered on it. Bathroom needed a good clean.

Great stay on the waterfront with incredible access to restaurants and bars. Hotel room and bed is comfortable and quiet, room service reasonably good. Only issue was shower was a bit old fashioned and on one of the days, room was not cleaned despite placing a request outside the room for clean. Amazing stay purely based on location alone and would recommend.

We stayed twice recently and on our first stay our room was small and musty. It was on the 4th floor. The second stay was on the 1st floor and was a much larger room and smelt fresh. Just be aware that rooms aren’t serviced daily. They are serviced after three days. Good location, but if staying there again, I wouldn’t settle for our first room. Breakfast was buffet and well stocked.

Everything in the room is damp and uncomfortable. New room the sheets are dryer but it's all damp. I was woken at the hotel by drilling at 8am. There was (big ones) on the ceiling and blinds. Was a long drive from Katherine bur couldn't get a rest straight away because of this issues!! Very disappointing!!!

The first room we had was lovely but smelt very musty. That was on the 4th floor. The next time we stayed our room was lovely and that was on the first floor. Breakfast was buffet and nice selection. Situated down on the Waterfront area with an easy walk into town. I would definitely stay here again but ask to change rooms if you end up with a musty one.

Hotel shows signs if wear but in a Handy location to restaurants and entertainment. Easy access to city centre. Wait for rooms beyond stated check in times, conflicting advice regarding shuttle to wharf area .

Had a dreadful time staying here. Booked twin room for two nights. Arrived after late flight to find no twin beds available but wanted to charge us $50 to put a trundle bed in the room for the night and have housekeeping separate the bed into twin beds in the morning. We separated the bed ourselves and went to reception to get sheets. Sheets were wet. In the morning asked at reception to get beds made up properly. They told us housekeeping would attend to the room right away. Got back to room after long day out to find the beds weren't made up. So we slept without a quilt or proper sheets for the second night. A few days after we checked out we were charged for minibar items that we most certainly did not take. Charged us a credit card surcharge even though we didn't pay with credit card. Returned to the hotel after a week in Katherine for one more night. Once again they did not have twin beds ready in our room even though we'd requested this. Staff were rude, officious and slow. Absolutely nothing good to say about our stay here.

Not a good experience, was supposed to check in at 3 but room wasn't ready, by 3:45 still not ready so they had to do some shuffling and give us a different room, although this was a painfully slow process. Requested a blanket rather than doona and they brought up a wafer thin stained single "blanket" for our king sized bed, eventually came back with some better options however they were also really stained. Ordered room service at 11pm (2 x toasted sandwiches) told about 15min, nearly an hour later after chasing them up a couple of lukewarm sandwiches arrived. Location was great but was really let down by the service.

We arrive a few minutes early about 2:30 and their rooms weren’t ready. That’s ok because we were early and staff said they’d be ready by 3:00. But there was an IT issue and the system was down. During this time a fire alarm sounded, the FD responded. But it was a false alarm. Finally after waiting 3 hours our friends were given their room cards. We included breakfast with our reservation and it was goid.

Obviously this property is under staffed, room was not ready upon arrival at advertised check in time & many others were also waiting long periods for rooms to be cleaned, No options were given to store luggage close to room as we were on a dead line time wise & delay was causing issues. Room & position is quite good, many food options & recreation at your door.

Nice position on the waterfront. The hotel is getting on in age but still good enough. Lot's of eateries in walking distance, whether in the waterfront precinct or over the road (Skybridge) and into town. Lots of historical areas in close vicinity, WWII and Cyclone aftermath. As for the hotel room, it was quiet even though 2 floors down there was a lot of activity in the waterfront with bars and restaurants. Room was a nice size. TV had basic free to air channels. A few issues: bedding was not changed after we spilt some coffee! and mini bar and coffee was not restocked the next day! However there is a Mini Mart across the way that stayed open till midnight so we just went there for our supplies. There is a wave pool downstairs ($9.00 entry for adults) that was nice and warm which is nice coming from Perth where every pool is quite chilly.

We stayed twice recently and on our first stay our room was small and musty. It was on the 4th floor. The second stay was on the 1st floor and was a much larger room and smelt fresh. Just be aware that rooms aren’t serviced daily. They are serviced after three days. Good location, but if staying there again, I wouldn’t settle for our first room. Breakfast was buffet and well stocked.

The staff at vibe were absolutely amazing. They could t have been more helpful when they learnt my daughter had a fear of elevators and moved us to a lower room. They also then helped move us to another room when the bathroom fan didn’t work. Nothing was too much of a hassle. The downside for this place is it is in dire need of some repairs. The bathroom had a lot of mould around the edges of the window and chips out of the bath . The fridge was rusted and the carpet ha looking worn. The beds weee comfortable though! The location was amazing and the breakfast bar was delicious.

Black out curtains full of holes, room above garbage bins and woken by truck. Restaurant and pool bar closed during our stay. Lift out of order at our end of hotel. Checkout staff couldn’t readily provide me with a copy of my room service bill. Will not stay here again.

The first room we had was lovely but smelt very musty. That was on the 4th floor. The next time we stayed our room was lovely and that was on the first floor. Breakfast was buffet and nice selection. Situated down on the Waterfront area with an easy walk into town. I would definitely stay here again but ask to change rooms if you end up with a musty one.

We had a staycation at the Vibe which was fantastic. The location was great as we were seeing a show at the Darwin Festival. I had problems accessing the hotel from the car park on two occasions. The key would not open the lock from the car park to the hotel. Room service meal on the first night was ok but on the second night was very poor. KFC would have been better. Also the choices were limited. For instance the only ice cream option was vanilla . Not very exciting for children

Not a good experience, was supposed to check in at 3 but room wasn't ready, by 3:45 still not ready so they had to do some shuffling and give us a different room, although this was a painfully slow process. Requested a blanket rather than doona and they brought up a wafer thin stained single "blanket" for our king sized bed, eventually came back with some better options however they were also really stained. Ordered room service at 11pm (2 x toasted sandwiches) told about 15min, nearly an hour later after chasing them up a couple of lukewarm sandwiches arrived. Location was great but was really let down by the service.

Great stay on the waterfront with incredible access to restaurants and bars. Hotel room and bed is comfortable and quiet, room service reasonably good. Only issue was shower was a bit old fashioned and on one of the days, room was not cleaned despite placing a request outside the room for clean. Amazing stay purely based on location alone and would recommend.

Great location. Clean rooms, a little tired in places but you won’t spent much time in the room anyway with the options for outdoor activities and food and drink options on the door step. Excellent AC as well which is a must on a hot day in Darwin!

The best thing about the Vibe Darwin Waterfront is the location and the staff. Otherwise, the hotel is tired and uncomfortable. Air conditioning noisy and very hard to set a comfortable temperature - generally too cold. Shower fitting over bath unstable and shower head sprays water on floor making for slippery floor safety hazard. Curtains overlooking the carpark well-worn and dirty. Readin chair next to bed very hard and uncomfortable.

My only gripe was we couldn’t turn the light on in the bathroom without the fan turning on. The noise of the fan was very loud in the rest of room. Other than that our stay was great.
