Comfotel PRPL

Good value, basic hotel, that appears to be undergoing updating. Friendly healthy staff. I stayed in 2 rooms where the mattresses were not great. A lot of stairs if you get a room on higher floors.

Room had damp which caused our pillows near the window to be wet. No hand towel for the bathroom and felt the room was dirty. Didn’t want to go complain at reception due to having to go out of the hotel, cross the road and go to reception which was in a different hotel. Not wanting to waste time

If you need an overnight stay, this is perfect. If you are staying longer, not so much. You can hear the people walking around in the room above you. No soap or shampoo. The room is tiny and I mean tiny. Some restaurants and the subway is a few blocks away. No elevator and the stairs allow for only one person at a time.

We were in the basement and had trouble carrying luggages up and down to our room. Also it was quite noisy with people smoking and chatting most of the time

On-site picture of room was not like the real thing (much smaller). We were put into a room on the 3rd floor (4th floor american counting) without notification, which for older guests with heavy bags was horrendous, as the steep and narrow staircase went on forever. Tried to change to a lower floor level but not possible, with no offer of assistance with the heavy bags. Cleaning staff excellent.

Quite uncomfortable room for 4 people. Bathroom cleaning almost missing. Uncomfortable stairs width for passing with luggage. No lift.

The reception was in a separate building which wasn’t clearly signed. The room itself was very clean and well presented but need a lick of paint here and there. The shower has nowhere to put anything and no bath mat, anti slip protection or grab handle. There is a fridge which was handy. The traffic is very noisy so you won’t get a good sleep if you’re a light sleeper. Sainsbury’s is directly opposite and very handy for cafes and close to Goldhawk and shepards bush stations.

No air conditioner no elevator/lift. Shower dirty.

A decent, no-fuss hotel stay. The photos on the website suggest the availability of food options that just don't exist in the real site, so I suggest these misleading images are removed ASAP. It's worth noting that this is a converted 5-storey townhouse and there's no lift, but this wasn't a problem for me. Walls are paper-thin and every time the guy in the next room opened his door I thought he was opening mine! This means it might not be great for a romantic weekend, but for a business trip like mine it was a great option that was relatively low cost (for the area).

Very good accommodation for the price. Great housekeeping staff for rooms. Reception is in another building, so not entirely convenient. Internet connection dreadful. I was at top of building with a huge number of stairs and no lift.

The check-in person was friendly. But the cleanliness was.. Room looked on the surface clean, but wasn’t. There was STRAIGHT hair everywhere, i have afro/curly hair. Also, i saw the cleaning person put the CLEAN towels in the hallway on the floor where everyone walks with their outside shoes. I truly was paranoid in the room thinking it was cleaned or not. The shower was nice, but on the second day there was no water power & hot water.. that continued on the rest of my stay. If you want to stay I would recommend one dag MAX. Location is perfect, but sadly the cleanliness is nowhere to be found. All the rooms need a DEEP CLEAN, to get out the stains on the carpet, etc.

SEMEN ON THE WALL! THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING AND A HEALTH HAZARD. There was blood on the floor an semen on the walls. This place has never been cleaned and after being promised a refund I have been told I have no right to a refund: we didn’t even stay in the room; we left after 30 mins and had to go spend 600 pounds on a new hotel on Christmas Eve I have photos to prove everything

When we arrived at the hotel we had to cross the street and book in in another building. The hall ways were very cramped and would not be easily accessible for anyone with a suitcase. Our room was in the basement of the building. It was a very small twin room. There was damp in the room and bath room. It did not feel clean and you could visibly see dirty, dust and grime throughout the room and property. The shower still had hair from the previous guest in it and the doors didn’t close resulting in a very wet floor. The walls to the rooms were so thin you could hear everything from other rooms. The door to our room didn’t shut easily meaning we had to slam it shut, it wouldn’t close on its own. There were weird stains on the curtains and black marks on the bedding. The glass in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. Overall just felt very disgusting.

Room was filthy, marks on walls,damp,mildew,no hot water. Asked reception about this and it was hot for one day then cold again. Shocking place. Basic is ok but filthy,old,worn out is not acceptable

I bought cleaning supplies to clean the shower. It was disgusting and had residue on the walls. The walls and floors were stained and I felt itchy from the bed sheets.

This is a tough one to review. Staff were very helpful and polite, gave us a fan and extra toilet paper when needed. Check-in was a bit rough as it was a new employee and a language barrier, but we got it sorted, and he was very polite. We forgot to put the 'do not disturb' sign out and came back to bed made and fresh towels. With that said, the room absolutely needs a deep clean. The carpet is stained, the curtains are stained, the bathroom grout lines have black mold on them, and even the walls have stains all over. I understand that deep cleaning every time would defeat the point of a budget hotel, but there should be some sort of weekly or at least monthly deep clean. Also, being on the basement floor, in the front of the building, it would be a good idea to instruct the cleaning crew not to open the curtains. I appreciate the gesture, but the street is very busy, and literally everyone could see all of our belongings in an empty room. Security should always be a concern on the ground and especially basement levels. On the 3rd day of our stay, we were verbally attacked by a vagrant on the front steps that told us tourists need to leave. We told him to move along, and he did. No fault to the hotel for the lack of effort by the London police and local government, though. Perhaps some no loitering signs and clear CCTV will help. Overall, the savings weren't worth it for us, but it wasn't a bad stay. It got the job done and saved us a couple hundred pounds.

Ok, did the job for the price. Bathroom in 1 room hadnt been cleaned and bed linen had stains.

This property DOES NOT have elevators and it has around 5 floors. A lot of work to go up the stairs with luggage. Cleanliness is not good at all. All the person does is bring you towels and straighten the sheets. You can see old stains on the walls and around the bed frames. The staff of really nice but if you are looking for a hotel where you feel clean then this is not it.

My room was basically a glorified closet, which I didn't realize. The bed was really uncomfortable and lumpy, the service was essentially nonexistent. There was no air (but a giant fan) so I had to leave the windows cracked and I had a few bugs.They did replace my towel and take out my trash in-between days so that was nice. I would not recommend this place nor would I stay there again. The pictures are definitely deceiving.

Everything was 5 star except the beds bedding was good but the mattress was horrible spring mattresses had 3 beds and all family had same issue couldn't sleep on them other than this Everything was 5 star

The room was OK. Nothing special but on the larger side. The bed was comfortable and the other furnishing were fine. No air conditioning (I was in room 17) but there are 2 sky lights that open and a fan. The biggest problem was the shower. It is a corner style shower and has a small opening. I am 175 cm and 90 kg and getting into and out of the shower was a tight fit. Once inside the shower, there is no place to put soap or shampoo. Literally, nothing but the shower floor. The toile wasn't too far so I would put the shampoo there. I'd soap up and toss the soap into the sink before rinsing. I would book the hotel again but it isn't without some compromises.

Location was convenient, a 10 min to coffee shops, subway/tube and big shopping centre. However it is on a street where there is a police and fire station, and the noise of those emergency vehicles was super loud and would not let us sleep. The furniture is dated and the mattresses are awful, I’m still hurt from that. There is no AC and it was so hot during the night even with a fan. The guy at the reception was ok but got upset with me for asking for towels. It’s just ok if you don’t care for the items i just mentioned.

TV only had four channels, hot water took five minutes to come out of the shower, only one pillow, It sounded like I was about a nuclear reactor for about ten minutes a night I think it was a shower but who knows. Apart from that I enjoyed myself and would stay again

The area of the hotel is very nice. Close to public transportation, Restaurants etc. The room his very tiny for 4 Persons and very hot in the Summer.

The hotel is in a very good location and is close to two metro stations. I would like to give a special thanks to Ahmad for his kindness and willingness to resolve and help with all my needs.

The property was just average but the one fantastic thing was the maid called Alina. I accidentally left my purse behind with my work keys and NHS smart card in. After calling the hotel several times was told the maid did not find my purse and when I asked if she had checked on the floor by the bed was told I would have to wait until 1pm for the maid to clean the room , even though the occupants check out at 11am. Very uninterested and dismissive. Upon further questioning was told that the maid had checked the floor. Not content with this answer we waited at the entrance of the hotel for someone to come out so we were able to get back in. My son found the maid , Alina , who immediately went into the room we had vacated and she looked on the floor next to the bed and found my purse. I am so so grateful to her. She was so helpful and kind. The nicest employee in the place. This review is for her. Thank you so much

Couldn't find anyone at reception. Got to the room and it was filthy. On check out guy was rude. We knocked on the reception door to hand key back and check out. He shouts through the closed door to leave it on a window ledge. Awful customer service.

I had to go for a meeting without taking a shower. The bathroom door was jammed and there was no one to help open it. The manager did not pick calls and the night desk manager did not respond when I knocked on the reception door.

It's not a 5* hotel, but doesn't pretend to be, bed was really comfortable, had all the amenities I needed. Staff were excellent, polite, amazingly helpful. The only downside is the cleaner walked into my room at 10.00 am when checkout is 11, good job I was dressed 🤦😂 would definitely stay here again ☺️

Staff initially refused to accept my certified guide & assistance dog and threatened to cancel my room booking and not let me stay. After over half an hour of showing documentation, calling the manager twice, explaining and even pleading we were finally allowed to stay after promising that my service dog wouldn’t bark all night, or ruin the room?! The whole place reeked of smoke - and indeed the smoke alarm went off in the early hours of the morning and woke the entire place. We were on the top floor - the stairs were dangerous, the floor was stained, the mattress on the bed was falling apart, there was an open drain in both the sink and shower - no covers over the drains, the shower was mouldy, floors were filthy.

Check is was awful and the manager made me cry. Said we'd booked for the wrong date, but my app had correct date. When we returned later were locked out as they had not processed my payment. 5.30 fire alarm so stood in street. Pillow cases were scratchy, from was boiling, it was all terrible.

Excellent Location. I came for a business conference and meetings. It's very accessible from the nearest railway station and lots of restaurants and shops near by. The staff was very friendly and went out of the way to help us with anything we needed.

great location with markets, places to eat and transport close by

Our favorite parts: ▪︎Walkable to Hammersmith for super easy tube connections to all the major locations in London via the Picadilly and District lines. ▪︎Sainsbury's grocery store and ATM directly across the street. ▪︎Fan in the room helped drown out road noise at night AND kept us comfortable without air conditioning. ▪︎Mini fridge was a real plus for us! ▪︎Friendly staff at check in and thoughtful maid kept our trash emptied and towels fresh. Not our favorite parts: ▪︎Fire, police, and ambulance stations down the street made for lots of sirens in addition to road noise until about 10pm. ▪︎The tube station is about a 10 min walk either direction with bags. If walking bothers you, probably not the best location for you. After a few days the walk seems shorter. Only bothered us day 1 with bags. ▪︎The room and I KEA type furnishings are a bit worn and chipped but the linens were fresh and white and the room was servicably clean. It didnt bother us.

Good value, clean and tidy accommodation with excellent transport links

Servicably clean rooms with IKEA type furnishings. A great location to use as a homebase for exploring London. We found the 10 min walk to Hammersmith became our favorite route.

Nice hotel, close to underground and Westfield shopping centre, plenty of eateries, room has fridge so can pick up bits in local Lidl/Sainsbury's

I don’t even know where to start. Our original reservation at another hotel was canceled, we were told it was closed permanently (NOT) we walked by it every day. So they offered this one and from the pictures it looked good showed breakfast , looked clean and was in the same area as the original. Upon check in we had to go to a different hotel. They put us in a dark basement room, the room was so small and dirty . The shower was gross and dirty. The room had ceiling leakage from above and areas were being covered by nailed wood! Every night men would be smoke foul smelling products outside our window room. Would NEVER again book with Orbitz!!!

When we ordered this room it said it was Bed & Breakfast, on arrival we found out there was no longer breakfast included, which we paid for. No place for breakfast, we had to find a nearby cafe which put extra cost to our stay. Breakfast cost was £70-£80 extra per day.

Absolute bare minimum when it comes to cleanliness! Sticky bathroom floors and toilet seat. Dirty bedding. The rooms are very small. No air conditioning. I don't know how this place has 3 stars. The pictures show that breakfast is included. When I asked the person who checked me in about the breakfast, he said they don't do breakfast. I showed him the pictures on the website and travel sites that show that it's included. He siad, "Oh no. Those pictures are 7 or 8 years old. "

Much nicer room than I expected and had a fridge so I could get some things from local supermarket, location is short walk to tube station and Westfield shopping centre, also smaller shopping centre opposite underground that has wetherspoons which I went for breakfast

Although the hotel was clean there was no breakfast included as advertised on the website and at check in all we were told is the room number and that it’s top floor of the hotel across the road. Bed was quite uncomfortable and the bathroom was very dated and in need of some attention.

Rooms smell funny. There is not buffet but in the pictures it makes you think there is one!! Bathrooms smell and cleanliness was bad. Too expensive for the price

I stayed for 2 nights and was happy enough with the accommodation. My room was a single room and with the heat wave I must say it was extremely Hot in the room at all times even with the fan provided and the window was open to the fullest. A few things annoyed me were the bed was uneven. Mattress was great so I think the actual bed frame or base was broke. The TV didn't work, looked like the antenna cable was broke. And the tea, coffee, milk or sugar wasn't filled up even though housekeeping had been in to clean. The staff I encounterd went above and beyond and only a few minutes walk to 2 tube stations. Overall I've stayed in worse places so I can't say I wouldn't go back. The surrounding area is quite nice even though it may not look it but I felt safe to walk out at night back from the tube station. Pictures on the website of an outdoor area and breakfast facility's were one of the reasons I booked even though they do not exist for guests which was a bit of a bummer. Toiletries offered were basic just a soap and shampoo so definately take your own. I was happy to stay but could have been happier.
