Our stay at The Mora Sahara Tozeur was simply unforgettable. We chose this hotel for our honeymoon, and the entire team made it truly perfect from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The property is beautiful, combining luxury, peace, and authentic Tunisian architecture in a magical setting at the edge of the Sahara. Our villa was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable, and every detail made us feel special. The food was outstanding. Every meal was delicious, and the romantic dinner was one of the highlights of our trip. The activities were equally amazing, especially the camel ride at sunset and the experiences in the oasis and the desert. What truly makes this hotel exceptional is its staff. Every single person was kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. A special thank you to Nizar, who went above and beyond to make our honeymoon unforgettable. His care, professionalism, and attention to every detail made all the difference. This is a hotel that happily ruins your holidays by canceling your reservation the night before your arrival. The reservation was made and paid two months in advance. Booked in February 2026 for two nights in May. Villa with private pool, around €1,500 paid in full upfront. I built a side-trip around it: round-trip flights from Tunis to Tozeur. The Mora was the whole reason to fly there. On the evening of 18 May, the day before check-in, a message appeared in the Hoteles.com app. Not a call. Not an email. A booking-app message citing 'force majeure', claiming they could not honour the second night. When I called the next morning, it turned out the message was wrong: they could not honour either night. Three months of notice from me. Eighteen hours of notice from them. Through an app. With inaccurate information. Only after several angry phone calls did they agree to rebook us, to a cheaper hotel 450 km away, leaving our flights to Tozeur with no purpose. The General Manager then wrote a polished email of 'deepest apologies' and promised in writing to refund the flights. I sent bank details that day. The refund never arrived. Follow-up emails are ignored. The one written commitment they made was quietly walked back. This is not bad luck. This is how they behave the moment they are under pressure. If you are considering The Mora for a honeymoon, anniversary, or anything you cannot easily rebook, think very carefully. There are better properties in Tunisia.

This was, by far, the best hotel I stayed at in Tunisia — what an experience. We traveled with young children, and every single detail of our trip was perfect. The staff was so pleasant, accommodating, and really treated us like valued guests and friends. Nidhal, the Guest Relations Manager, was so helpful and really went above and beyond to help us plan our entire stay. On Christmas Eve, we missed an event in the lobby — they realized we were missing and sent our room a plate of chocolates and desserts from the event. That gesture says everything about how much they value their guests. Nidhal also helped us coordinate a babysitter, which was such a wonderful touch — available whenever we needed, and really allowed us to enjoy our evenings. The rooms were absolutely stunning, the desert views were so serene, and we loved having breakfast on the veranda every morning. The traditional hammam was so relaxing that I went every single day of our visit. We also truly loved the dining at Mekong — absolutely delicious and truly authentic. I have already recommended this place to all my family and friends, and will be visiting every time we go to Tunisia. Thank you so much for making our vacation so wonderful and relaxing.
