Our host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The old-style room was big enough and had a view up to the basilica. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Parking just out front. The reception area was down and around a path to the rear of the building. There is a footpath behind the property which takes you up to the magnificent basilica and awesome cave chapel and it was a short drive to take the shuttle bus up to Los Lagos.

The hotel owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in multiple hotels during our trip and the breakfast offered at Casa Asprón was by far the best, including homemade cake! The location is also perfect for accessing los lagos de Covadonga. The only downside was the room was a bit dark and small but it was good value for money overall. Be aware that there's only one local restaurant that serves dinner past 7pm. However, Cangas de Onís is a 15 minute drive away with plenty of options.

Loved our stay at Casa Aspron! We loved the loft space in the triple room. Our hosts were very friendly and made a great, filling breakfast. The location was quiet and provided easy access to the lakes and sanctuary. It was a great location to get an early start ahead of the crowds. I would highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Casa Aspron! We loved the loft space in the triple room. Our hosts were very friendly and made a great, filling breakfast. Ok this was a little gem of a find but might not be for everyone. Let me explain - the welcome and location was perfect but it is quite a long way from a town - ideal if you like peace and quiet but if you want to wander from bar to bar to restaurant not so. I only ate there for breakfast but it was lovely if “traditional” I have had similar in other town hotels but do not expect a large buffet experience. I came to this from a Paradore and was not disappointed. I enjoyed my stay and I would most certainly stay here again. The location is ideal for the lakes at Covadonga and the surrounding countryside. Again I have no complaints and only praise - especially for the price. If you like peace and quiet and somewhere away from the mainstream give it a go!

Ok this was a little gem of a find but might not be for everyone.
