Our family of 6 enjoyed staying at the Bern-Westside Hotel. It's comfortable, clean, and attached to a mall, and we received a 3-hour ticket to enjoy daily the Bernacqua Water Park located inside the mall. The kids and I had a blast! Public transportation to Bern’s Old Town is plenty and about 20 minutes. We recommend this hotel! PS: the only downside is that we requested foldable beds for our rooms to accommodate 2 children (16 and 11 years old) and the hotel staff said that it was not possible. When we got there, there were 2 foldable beds in two of the 3 rooms that we have booked. Thus, we booked unnecessarily the third room after the staff said that each room could accommodate only 2 guests.

Pool/ wellness nicht im Hotel, sondern öffentliches, sehr überlaufenes Spassbad. Zudem steht nirgends vor Buchung die Information, dass man als Gast im Hotel nur 3 h pro Nacht/Aufenthalt ins Bad darf. Kein wellnesshotel!

Was a great stay for 2 nights. Had no clue we got access to the waterpark attached to the shopping Centre there so that was a bonus for the kids. Rooms were clean and quiet. Had an issue with a leak from our AC dropping onto the floor but staff were quick to offer us a change of rooms. She even found us in the restaurant to bring us the key and explain what happened. Easy parking in the shopping Centre lot underground as well. Definitely recommend.

De kamers zijn schoon en modern. De locatie is geweldig, want je bent snel op de snelweg, maar ook direct aan het station om naar het centrum van Bern te gaan. De voorzieningen zijn fantastisch en je bent van alle gemakken voorzien. Een supergrote parkeergarage met laadmogelijkheden voor elektrische auto's. Een groot en modern winkelcentrum met een supermarkt, een bioscoop en allerlei mooie shops en eetgelegenheden. Ook is gekoppeld aan het hotel een bezoek aan de fitness en het zwembad van Bern-aqua. Kortom, geweldig!

The first room shower drain didn't work and nearly floodwd the bathroom. The 2nd room had no soap in the dispensers and the air conditioner was stuck at 25 C (very uncomfortable unless you like to sleep naked without blankets). Staff was sympathetic but in the end nothing they ckuld do and was too late in the evening to change rooms again. Hotel manager reached out after comment sent to Corporate and insulted my ability to operate an air conditioner rather than try to remediate the issue. NOT worth the 200 CHF for the room, restaurant was really nice but expensive too. 80 CHF for 2 Chicken Caesar Salads and 2, 100ml glasses of wine.

This was a great stay as we were traveling through Switzerland on our way to France. Amazing location, as the train station is right outside the door, and there is direct access to the mall for eating and shopping. The room was very nice and clean, and the staff are super friendly!

Der Aufenhalt war sehr schön. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich. Jedoch war das Zimmer nicht sauber. Ebenfalls hatte es wie schon im März Silberfische im Zimmer. Das sollte man unbedingt behandeln.

The hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Our room was basic but clean with a comfortable bed, excellent shower, free WIFI, and small flatscreen TV. Dogs are allowed. The hotel has a parking garage that can be reached by an elevator and is connected to a shopping mall. Free public transportation is offered direct to and from Bern city (~20 minutes). We had a great time and will be back!

The room was good. The access to the Aqua Park is a highlight. It's next to a mall so quite convenient if you want to do some shopping. Also not far for the city center, easily accessible by tram.

The highlight of our stay was service from staff. Everyone is really warm, welcoming and helpful. Location is very convenient as just opposite a tram and train station. Hotel has a tie-up with Bernaqua which is really nice. Hotel is attached to a mall so ample options for food and drinks. Pictures on Expedia were misleading and the standard room is very crammed especially if one need an extra cot. Even executive rooms are bit tired and design is awkward specially of the bathroom door. It’s impossible to not disturb everyone if there is a need to use bathroom at night or early morning; because the door is a sliding glass door which does not stop light and sound.

Location is very convinient if you use bernaqua. But poor english level for receptionists. If you are not german speaker don't expecting the information in details. Answer rudely even if they didn't understand my question at the front desk. There is No professionnalisme ! Check well your credit card bill after check out ! They took some cost from my credit card, which i didn't use, without asking or checking further. No word of sorry or try to solve quickly because 'it's very busy season now'

Was a great stay for 2 nights. Had no clue we got access to the waterpark attached to the shopping Centre there so that was a bonus for the kids. Rooms were clean and quiet. Had an issue with a leak from our AC dropping onto the floor but staff were quick to offer us a change of rooms. She even found us in the restaurant to bring us the key and explain what happened. Easy parking in the shopping Centre lot underground as well. Definitely recommend.

The hotel has a parking garage that can be reached by an elevator and is connected to a shopping mall. Free public transportation is offered direct to and from Bern city (~20 minutes). We had a great time and will be back!

We enjoyed staying at this Holiday Inn. Their front office staff are great but Serena is amazing. Any question I had she answered thoroughly and she anticipated our next leg and had samples waiting for us to choose the trains we liked best and their departure times. It made it so easy to book the correct train and time. I asked if there was ice and she said no but got a bag of ice for us each day we were there. She went above and beyond everyday and never tired of us asking questions. She is a huge benefit to Holiday Inn. Her outstanding service makes me want to stay there every time we go to Switzerland.

Wir hatten zwei Zimmer für je zwei Erwachsene gebucht, da eine Person verhindert war, hatte ich über drei Wochen vor unserer Ankunft angefragt, ob wir dies direkt über das Hotel abwickeln oder über Hotels.com ändern müssen. Vom Hotelpersonal wurde ich darauf hingewiesen, dass dies problemlos vor Ort angepasst werden kann. Beim Check-In habe ich dies nochmals erwähnt und auch da hiess es, dies sei kein Problem. Beim Check-Out fiel mir auf, dass wir den ursprünglichen Preis bezahlen müssen, lediglich die Kurtaxe wurde nur für 3 Personen verrechnet. Als ich die Dame an der Rezeption darauf hinwies, meinte sie lediglich, sie könne da nichts tun, dies waren Fehlinformationen ihrerseits und es tue ihr leid. Sie bemerkte sogar, dass wir 4x für das Frühstück bezahlten und sagte dies seien ja nur 25.- CHF und sie hätte auch schon solche Erfahrungen in ihrem Urlaub gemacht. Ich würde es verstehen, hätte ich vorgängig nichts abgeklärt, dies habe ich jedoch schriftlich per E-Mail abgeklärt. Ausserdem waren die Hotelpreise zu diesem Zeitpunkt doppelt so hoch als sonst, vermutlich wegen der grossen Nachfrage. Next to the Bern Westside mall and the train station. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely consider this hotel again if we go back to Bern. The train ride from main Bern station to Bern Westside is short. Definitely take advantage of the Bern visitor card the hotel gives you! Excellent location and the staff are sooo wonderful!

De kamers zijn schoon en modern. De locatie is geweldig, want je bent snel op de snelweg, maar ook direct aan het station om naar het centrum van Bern te gaan. De voorzieningen zijn fantastisch en je bent van alle gemakken voorzien. Een supergrote parkeergarage met laadmogelijkheden voor elektrische auto's. Een groot en modern winkelcentrum met een supermarkt, een bioscoop en allerlei mooie shops en eetgelegenheden. Ook is gekoppeld aan het hotel een bezoek aan de fitness en het zwembad van Bern-aqua. Kortom, geweldig!

The first room shower drain didn't work and nearly floodwd the bathroom. The 2nd room had no soap in the dispensers and the air conditioner was stuck at 25 C (very uncomfortable unless you like to sleep naked without blankets). Staff was sympathetic but in the end nothing they ckuld do and was too late in the evening to change rooms again. Hotel manager reached out after comment sent to Corporate and insulted my ability to operate an air conditioner rather than try to remediate the issue. NOT worth the 200 CHF for the room, restaurant was really nice but expensive too. 80 CHF for 2 Chicken Caesar Salads and 2, 100ml glasses of wine.

Hôtel moderne à l’extérieur de Bern, attenant à un centre commercial. En travaux pendant notre séjour donc pas de restaurant. Structure moderne et fonctionnelle mais sans aucun charme. N’est pas du tout un 4 étoiles mais plutôt un 3 étoiles. Chambre fonctionnelle mais petite. Très propre et bonne isolation. Très bon rapport qualité prix si vous allez au Park aquatic compris dans le prix.

First of all, the front desk staff are awesome. Super friendly and helpful. But then it starts to get worse. Daily room cleaning manages it to put 1 towel inside for 2 visitors, and manages it to replace 2 towels with 1. Previously, BernAqua was included, now you have to pay. Overall, every year the service is getting lower and lower. Max a 3-star hotel, no free gym available anymore. The quoted prices were over 250 CHF; for that price, I can definitely expect more. We moved for the second part of our stay in Bern to another hotel in the city.

Room wasn’t clean at all even after house keeping. Floors were dirty. Staff was friendly. Room was ok bed was uncomfortable, the water temperature in the shower unpredictable you set it at a certain temperature, it will go cold then hot and then your temperature you set it at and repeat. I would not pay the price I paid to stay here again.
