My husband, daughter, and I along with 2 small Shih Tzus, stayed here on weekend trip to Houston, and it was downright awful. By the pictures, the place looked nice and was pet-friendly. We got there and paid the deposit for the pet fee— cool, no issues with that. Even though I bring stuff to clean up after them, I understand the policy. But here’s the thing: if you charge for pets to stay, make sure the rooms are kept up. The room smelled funky, as my daughter said; the bathroom smelled like old sewage. The icebox didn’t work. The bed was at least comfortable, but that was about it. The blackout curtains were full of holes, which I have pictures of. The key card wouldn’t work at first; then, when my husband went down to meet the guy to tell him, the worker said, “ I was watching y’all on camera; I was waiting for you to come.” The elevator took forever and felt like it was going to break each time, and it only held 3 people. When we went to check out, I waited over 15 minutes at the front desk for the girl to come; I even tried calling to see if she would pick up the phone so she knew we were there, and she never picked up. Breakfast was nasty. We only stayed one night and got another hotel for the rest of the trip, which, mind you, when we checked in there, the manager didn’t even charge the pet fee due to them being so small and well-behaved, and that room smelled and felt clean. Very, very disappointed in this hotel. Don’t let the pictures get you like it did us.

The staff was friendly enough, and at first glance things seemed ok... except the note taped to the elevator about the max weight... then the elevator breaking when we had a 3rd floor room. The keys for the room constantly didn't work but they looked into it for us when mentioned. The room was very hot even with the AC lowered, but they did fix this after the first night. The breakfast was decent. But no elevator for the length of our stay was absolutely miserable. And there were never enough rags or towels in the bathroom. Beds were extremely squeaky and the pillows were less than desirable. Needless to say, we wont be staying there again.
