Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und konnten in unser Zimmer bereits vor 15:00 Uhr. Beim Frühstück war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Nicht in Ordnung finde ich, dass im Internet die Saunanutzung angeboten wird, aber dann keine Sauna zur Verfügung steht. Auch ein Restaurant und eine Bar gibt es prinzipiell. Beide waren nicht geöffnet. Als Kunde fühle ich mich betrogen.

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und konnten in unser Zimmer bereits vor 15:00 Uhr. Beim Frühstück war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Nicht in Ordnung finde ich, dass im Internet die Saunanutzung angeboten wird, aber dann keine Sauna zur Verfügung steht. Auch ein Restaurant und eine Bar gibt es prinzipiell. This is a modern and architecturally pleasing facility with most amenities. Our room had all the necessities. The Breakfast buffet is excellent with many options for vegetarians. The only thing that was listed on expedia and is not present, is laundry, neither laundry service nor facilities on site. Finding a coin laundry was troublesome, but solvable. We did not experience the cooling problems reported by others since our trip was in October. The parking garage underneath is convenient, yet pricey. Being located in the southwest part of Berlin, we chose it by location, but we will be happy to return there on future trips.

The breakfast and kitchen staff were excellent. We found the receptionists helpful. House keeping was good (you had to request a clean though). Room facilities were poor. The mattress was very uncomfortable. We had to request for additional pillows. We got a shock that there was no complimentary tea/coffee or kettle in the room. This was a first in our travels all over the world. We had to request an iron/ironing board as well. Nowhere have we been that there was a charge for use of the gym (6 euro per visit).

Sehr gute Anbindungen zum ÖPNV. Personal sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sehr sauber. Das Inventar sollte hin und wieder auf kleinere Beschädigungen überprüft werden. Der Hinweis an der Rezeption, dass der Abfluss nicht abläuft und dass das Zimmer nicht sehr sauber war, wurde gleichgültig und eher genervt entgegengenommen. Viel Schimmel in der Dusche. Personal unfähig. Dreckigen Putzlappen auf unseren Textilien vorgefunden, Flecken hinterlassen. Beschwerde an Rezeption hinterlassen, am Folgetag wusste keiner davon, Verweis auf angebliche Klärung in Folgewoche nach Abreise. Personal im Frühstücksbereich völlig überfordert, jeden Tag wurde Porzellan fallengelassen, man musste selbst das Nachfüllen von Kaffee, Butter, Brötchen etc. anfordern.

Familienzimmer war sauber, groß genug für eine Familie. Allerdings hatte die Pantry-Küche kein Geschirr/ Besteck, war also nicht wirklich gut nutzbar. Die Pflanzen mit auf das Zimmer zu nehmen ist eine gute Idee. Gut war auch, dass Wasser/ Obst jederzeit verfügbar war.

my room was right next to the coridor door. In the morning around 7 o'clock, as people go the have breakfast the door starts to open and shut down so you cannt sleep anymore starting with 7 o'clock since you have the impresion someone is trowing bombs to your room

Alles super, bis auf die deaktivierte Klimaanlage. Ich habe echt kein Verständnis mehr für diese albernen Ausreden, wie aus Klimaschutzgründen, oder oh wirklich, sollte aber gehen.. Ich zahle den vollen Preis, also will ich auch ein anständig klimatisiertes Zimmer! Noch einmal buche ich dieses Hotel nicht.

The hotel and room itself was OK and functional which is all I was looking for. But while checking in at 2:15pm (usual check-in time is 3:00) I was asked to pay 15 euros if I wanted access to my room. The hotel was empty, my room was clean and ready. I was so turned off by this that this will be my first and last visit to this hotel.

Het is een groot modern hotel met een heel goed ontbijt buffet. Alleen de dame in de ochtend bij de receptie, die we helaas twee dagen hadden, was erg onvriendelijk en onprofessioneel! Haar Engels was niet echt goed en ze leek steeds verveeld/geërgerd als ik info van haar wilde. Ze liet mij heel lang wachten aan de balie en was op haar computer bezig. Toen ik haar vroeg of er iemand anders was om mij te helpen gaf ze heel geïrriteerd antwoord dat ik dat aan haar kan vragen. De behoefte om iets te vragen was intussen al lang verdwenen. Ik moest voor mijn dochter die een voedselvergiftiging had opgelopen tijdens het ontbijt een arts raadplegen. Ze was totaal niet behulpzaam. Ik werd naar het restaurant doorverwezen en heb ijsblokjes voor mijn dochter gehaald, zelf onze huisarts in Nederland gebeld en om advies gevraagd en daarna zo snel mogelijk uit gecheckt. De kans dat ik hier weer een kamer boek is niet groot. Gelukkig waren niet alle personeelsleden zo slecht. Slecht personeel kan je hotel echt schade berokkenen ook al is het nog zo mooi en het ontbijt heel goed!

We booked this hotel because my son was a guest speaker. It is a university hotel near the Frei University. This is a good hotel if you want to visit the Dalem Area. Berlin center is about 35-45 minutes away by either UBahn or Taxi. Hotel room was nice, and staff helpful and friendly.

I booked the hotel in that night and arrived at 2:00 am in the night and they wouldn't give me my room. They told me to leave the Hotel and look for something else and of course they charged me the room. I was left to sleep on the street! Expedia also didn't help to solve this problem. Never again this Hotel and Expedia!!!

High point is the excellent breakfast. it is not convenient if arriving from Berlin Airport - either a very expensive taxi ride or a long, one and a half hour, trek across Berlin.

The hotel was in an excellent location, very close to Dahlem Dorf U-Bahn station. The room was comfortable, and there was a wide range of pubs and restaurants to visit nearby. I also enjoyed the food at breakfast! Overall, a very pleasant stay!

We booked this hotel because my son was a guest speaker. It is a university hotel near the Frei University. This is a good hotel if you want to visit the Dalem Area. Berlin center is about 35-45 minutes away by either UBahn or Taxi. Hotel room was nice, and staff helpful and friendly.

Viel Schimmel in der Dusche. Personal unfähig. Dreckigen Putzlappen auf unseren Textilien vorgefunden, Flecken hinterlassen. Beschwerde an Rezeption hinterlassen, am Folgetag wusste keiner davon, Verweis auf angebliche Klärung in Folgewoche nach Abreise. Personal im Frühstücksbereich völlig überfordert, jeden Tag wurde Porzellan fallengelassen, man musste selbst das Nachfüllen von Kaffee, Butter, Brötchen etc. anfordern.

The biggest advantage was that the hotel was quiet at night. The biggest problem was that there are no kettles in the rooms. I've been in hotels without kettles in the past, but they always had at least some communal space *on each floor* where one could prepare a tea or coffee for themselves. In this hotel - none. There is a coffee machine at the reception which has a sticker asking for 3.50 EUR for a coffee. They let me use it for hot water for free, which I did, but it was super inconvenient to have to go down 2 floors just to get some hot water (especially that my room was far from the elevator and stairs, so it was at least 3 minutes down and up), while being carefully observed by the receptionists. Ridiculous.
