Stayed 1 night

I wouldn't let my dog stay here. A once amazing Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge opened in 1956, now barely a shell of it's proud self. This might rate as a five star property in Bombay, but not here...we are not a third world country.

Stayed 1 night

Upon arrival there was a lingering smell in the hallways. The first room we were assigned was not cleaned at all, the staff quickly gave us a new room and apologized. The beds in the new room were clean enough. The TV was disgusting and overall the room felt gross. There was no coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. There were holes in the bathroom wall and the shower had cracks. There were no waters or anything provided in the fridge, after calling the front desk we were able to get two bottles of water. For $200 my expectations were much higher. If the room was $75 I would have been happy as it was a place to sleep. I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless the price goes way down or you are desperate like we were.

Exterior of the hotel is completely run down and a bit scary. We had a room in building 4 which was very secluded. Fortunately it was well lit, those I’m not sure I would have gone in. Between the unlocked entrance door, the old trashed sofa and awning sitting in the grass, the strong smell of weed and the shopping cart inside the building, I certainly felt my idea of run down is valid. The room itself was a little better. It appeared as though the sheets & comforter were newish. The bathroom was NOT clean and just generally not maintained. So much hair everywhere it was hard to believe it was actually cleaned.
