The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was excellent. The breakfast is the typical minimal offer that I see at budget hotels across the US.

The rooms are clean, but very small. The bed was good, the shower was excellent, great water pressure. The breakfast was the low point, not many choices, the only hot things are oatmeal or waffles, which you have to make.

The room smelled musty, but the A/C worked well. There needs to be some shelving or hooks in the bathroom. The room was OK but make sure you bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and bath wash. This was a nice hotel but bare bones.

Overall, I felt like this was a quality budget hotel and a good option for an overnight stay while passing through. We arrived just before midnight and were back on the road around 7 a.m., so our stay was pretty short. My first impression when we walked into the room was that I could definitely see where the “Microtel” name comes from. The room was more compact than what we’ve experienced at most other hotels. For our seven-hour stay, this really didn’t affect us, but I could see it becoming a little annoying during a multi-night stay. There wasn’t a separate sitting area, so the bed was really the only place to sit and relax. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which is always a big metric for me. The bed was also pretty comfortable. My only real complaint was the room’s air-conditioning unit. It was a typical exterior-wall unit with the thermostat built into it, so it cycled on and off about every 10–15 minutes throughout the night. Normally that wouldn’t be a huge deal, but our particular unit had a pretty noticeable rattle, which made for a somewhat noisy night of sleep. One big positive is the location. It was very close to the expressway, making it easy to get on and off the highway, but despite that, we didn’t hear any outside or road noise from our room. Breakfast was decent. I had a waffle, which tasted good, and skipped most of the other options. The selection was somewhat limited and could have used a little more variety, but I still a
