Building was under total renovation, building and dirty, lukewarm water, tub, clogged, two light fixtures didn’t work, I was surprised you sent us to a place that was under a total renovation, very unhappy

This hotel was not what I expected. The condition of the outside of the hotel, the sidewalks, and the area around the entrance almost made me reconsider staying at this location. The room itself was better. Overall, it seemed clean and was actually very quiet. The breakfast bar was a big disappointment. Very few options were available. The microwave was out of order. There was no juice, only coffee and hot water. There was milk for the cereal that we ended up drinking. It seemed like the person at the front desk was also responsible for stocking the breakfast bar, so things were running out and he didn't notice. Also, the restroom in the lobby area was not working. There was a hallway from the breakfast area into the area where the rooms were located. This hallway seemed like it had become a catchall for "stuff." No way would I stay in this place again.

This property should have been shut down years ago. It was dirty, falling ceiling tiles, holes in the wall, exit light sign dangling from the wires, fire door tied open, filthy bathroom tiles and black moldy grout. Balcony door screwed shut. Windows were filthy. Desk chair looked like it had been in an auto repair shop based on the stains all over it. Breakfast was marginal at best with stale bread and runny eggs and cold sausage.

I liked the location of the property. My room was cleaned but it was in need of repairs and upgrade. Overall Rodeway Inn is an older hotel/motel that is need of major repairs and upgrades. Sidewalks need to be repaired or replaced. It is rated as a 3-star hotel and in its current condition that is a stretch to rate it 3-stars.

Found this to be a bait and switch. Definitely not what’s pictured online. Multiple water stains on ceiling of lobby. Dank smell of entire facility. Ceiling drywall in 2nd floor hallway was hanging loose. Threadbare towels. This place appears to be rundown and neglected by Rodeway Inn corporate.

Very nice staff here and a great price. They have been working hard to upgrade this property over the many years I have been staying here. The hallway carpeting is getting a little funky, but the room was clean and comfortable. Convenient location to I-80 and lots of services nearby. Brookville is a delightful town.

Our room was very clean. The front desk attendant was polite and friendly. Some of the lights in our room didn't work. The bed pillows were more like throw pillows for a couch. The motel was under ALOT of construction. There was a nice family restaurant across the road.

We arrived at the property. It smelled like mold. When we got to our room, there were pillows and a dirty tissue on the floor and the bedding was stripped. The ceilings and walls had water damage and stains. The back sliding door was wide open. My husband went to get a new room while I waited in the hall with my kids. A housekeeping person passed us in tbe hall asked if we were ok. I told her about the uncleaned room. She apologized stating that they had been busy but she had just cleaned another room but needed to get some pillow cases. I told her my husband was up front talking to the front desk. She said that we would take care of it. At the front desk, my husband was talking to the front desk clerk when the housekeeping woman arrived and said that she needed to do laundry because there were no clean pillowcases at all. Which was not what she had told me. My husband said we weren't waiting for pillowcases to be washed because we wanted to go to bed shortly. The front desk clerk then said that people had arrived at another room but were not staying and that we could have that room. He asked what was wrong with the room that they were leaving but the woman said she didn't understand their problem. My husband agreed as long as they didn't use the room. She gave him a room key and we made his way back to our hall we were which was the same hall as the new room. As he approached the room people were coming out of it. They had clearly used the bed. We got a refund and left.

Really gross. Pubic hair on the towels. Dried pee on the toilet seat. They wouldn’t give us our money back but we couldn’t do it, we got back on the road and ended up at the Best Western in Dubois.

I wish there was a negative star to give this crap hole. Got there in the evening and had to wait for my room that I reserved in the morning to be cleaned. I’m glad they left the room that held the cleaning products in was wide open (like all the other rooms that were not being used) I needed to clean everything I needed to touch, used razors and hair In the shower, and literally crap splatters everywhere in the bathroom. The floor looked like it wasn’t clean in a month. Absolutely disgusting. .. I won’t even get into the uncomfortable bed and condition of the rest of the room. Unless you are a crack head don’t stay here

Room was not fully cleaned. Hair in bathroom on floor and back of toilet. Old fashioned coffee pot(with filter) but only cups for a Keurig. Not a lot of care goes into this place. Stayed in February. Parking lot & most sidewalk areas covered in ice

Where to start. This property is possibly under renovation, if not it should be. Nasty stain on desk chair, mouse in my room. Caught it in a trap I set, breakfast could not have been worse if they tried. Coffee was good. That's about it. I would not recommend.

Entire building was filthy and dated. No deadbolt in the room. Popcorn coating was peeling from the ceiling in the hallways and common areas. Bathtub barely drained, weird greasy feeling on the fake wood surfaces, and the unplugged fridge in the room was filled with rotting food from the previous owner. Front desk clerk had trouble understanding the issue; nothing ended up getting fixed. Dubois and Clarion are roughly 20 minutes on I-80 in either direction; grab a room there and avoid this place.

The water came out of the bathroom sink looking like sewage, same with shower. It cleared up, but clearly disgusting and not ok to brush teeth or shower with.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at!!!! room was extremely disgusting, stains all over everything, towels and wash clothes were yellow instead of white due to not being clean! Had to go to bed fully dressed due to the conditions of the room!! Room had 2 big sliding glass doors that did not lock on the room, and it was on the first floor. The bathroom sink smelled like straight sewer, probably due to the trap not being clean but that's beside the point. also had 2 started rolls of toilet paper in the room which is also disgusting. I can go on and on!! bottom line is this place is extremely unsanitary, and I do not recommend that anyone stay in this place!!!

Room was great it had a outdoor balcony and great water pressure in the shower

When I arrived, they said they were not able to make keys for the guests, so whenever I needed to get in my room the front desk would have to open it for me. I asked to see the room and found the air conditioner wasn't working. He took me to another room and the water in the bath would not shut all the way off. Because of these problems he told me I could cancel at no charge, which I did, and stayed at their competitor down the street. In fairness the clerk was very nice and apologetic about the situation. The staff was fine, but the facility itself is awful!

Sliding door would not close. Mold growing all over shower area. Damaged drywall not repaired.

The room had no heat o had to go down and ask for a little heater then had to carry it up twp flights of steps myself, the water wasn't warm at all the phone did not work this is the worst place I have ever seen

rooms need upgrading

Very dated property and felt like it was stuck in the 70s. One of the weaker hotels I’ve been to.

We stayed unexpectedly during an ice storm. The staff worked diligently to get us in. They even ordered pizza because of the unexpected flux of travelers. They were very polite and made ready rooms as quickly as they could.

I know they are under construction. When going in to check in you better have your phone because they are never at the desk and youhavr to call them to come and check you in. You couldn't park clost to your room, ourroom was toward the far end of the hall and we could only get in one door to get there. We finally got all our stuff to our room pnly to find our card key didn't work. Had to walk back to the office, the girl ran it through the machine again then came to our room and she put it in and opened the door. Acted like it was ok the whole time. The floor could have been swept better, the sheets were on inside out and not pulled down over the corners. Oursecond night the there people were slamming doors, and just very noisy until way after midnight.

Before I start, I want to say Thank you to the amazing staff: Mark and Christa! These people are amazing!! Now, the review: Listen, if you're a Brenda or a Karen, this isn't the place for you. You should know if you're a Brenda - do you get upset if the temperature is off by 2 degrees, do you let slight inconveniences ruin your day... If so, just stay somewhere else. BUT, if you enjoy a good adventure with a hilarious story, if chaos and plot twist get you through life - YOU WANT TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! The staff is amazing and doing the best with what they have, the place was clean enough for me to feel comfortable and the breakfast was acceptable. Everything else was insane and hilarious, our room wasn't ready so we got a different room, the heat didn't work in that room so we got moved, the next room already had someone in it (opps lol), the room we ended up in was fine and then the faucet handle broke off the shower, then we realized the water to the bathroom sink was shut off with no way to turn it back on so we were able to use the housekeeping room for our bathroom needs. There was a lamp with no outlet so it was just for decoration, the sliding door to the balcony didn't open... Honestly I thought it was amazing & I laughed through every hiccup. It was a $60 room and worth it! Seriously, if I'm ever in this area again I will definitely stay here!

When we checked in it went great until we got to our room, the room hadn't been cleaned, dirty towels in the bathroom,bed stripped and nit made. I calked the front desk and told them about it and we needed another room. They gave usanother room, had to call for towels, then later had to go down to thefront desk for coffee, cups, and water glasses. The lady (Crista) kept apologizing i told her it wasn't her fault they need a new house keeper. Wehave staryed here for years but this place isreally hoing down, house keeping doesn't sweep, clean mirrors, etc. Not sure how much longer they will be open unless they get better house keeping and maintenance staff.

I enjoyed staying here at the hotel. Very nice and clean. Staff and housekeeping were AMAZING. Our family was not from the area and they made sure we were all comfortable. Will be staying here again during our next family gathering.

At check in there was a sign on the desk from “summer” that said she had to leave and to call another number for assistance. When I called, a guy came out and although he was nice, it was clear he was not comfortable with the process and keep having to send someone screenshots and calling them to figure out the process. The building smelled, the floors clearly needed to be vacuumed and there was a lot of damage to the building.

No one at the desk when checking in. A note left to call a number with no one answering. Finally some one showed up.

This hotel was clean but it definitely needs some love and tender care. There were piles of sheets & towels and bags of trash that had been taken out of rooms left in the upstairs hallway. Breakfast was limited.

Convenient stop mid trip, tv wouldn't get any reception though so that was a moderate shame and the breakfast was bare bones. For the affordable price though I can't complain too much.
