This is a lovely hotel - but it could be so much more. There is evident history here but it is sorely in need of updating and redecorating. Great staff, priceless views, a very good kitchen and a welcoming lounge - all good. This is a hundred year old building so the rooms are compact at best. Would I book to stay there again - yes I would.

Rooms were well equipped . Breakfast included in our stay (extra cost) good choices in Buffet . Parking was a bit of a walk from the rooms we were in Overhaul was good

Closing the Boiler House restaurant for dinner Sat to Tues feels like they are trying to forcefully "upsell" the Wintergarden restaurant. Coupled with the insistence of a minimum of 3 courses ffor dinner on a Sat left a very bad taste in the mouth.
