Super 8 by Wyndham Harrisburg Hershey North

First wanted to use different credit card to pay at the property was told I couldn't. The toilet moved 2" from side to side, the bolts were not tight. There was only antenna TV. No ice machine The bed sheet had a red stain that was visible as soon as you turned down the cover.

The room was clean. The breakfast was all right. There was no ice from ice machine.

I do feel the room could have been cleaned more. There was visible dust in the corners of the room on the carpet, a dark brown spot in the sink and smudges or hard water spots on the toilet seat. Smudges on the door. Just not up to my standards completely. The outside of the ice machine was very dirty and my room was missing an ice bucket to even use. However, the beds and sheets were clean and comfy, the room smelled cleaned and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and comfy and breakfast was yummy. Affordable rooms for rent and decent for a quick stay.

This hotel was great the only con about was no ice machines had to go next door for ice. Other than tha5 the staff was nice. Breakfast options was 2 kinds of cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, muffins and bagels. This place is only 15 min from Hershey!!! Limited parking in front more in the back.

Easy check in and the front desk was very helpful, although the parking was not ideal it was conveniently located near stores and some fast food restaurants. The rooms and lobby could use updating and a weird musky smell in the lobby. The room and bathroom were clean but probably could use a deep clean and dusting along with better vacuum, but for the price and last minute reservation it was a overall great stay!

Place is dated, but mostly clean. I booked a room with a king size bed 2 months in advance, when my husband and I arrived we were given a room with 2 full size beds and told that our booking app must have been responsible for the error. Then said that that only have 1 king room and it is out of order. Beds were not comfortable at all, but the shower was hot and had good pressure. No ice anywhere to be found, so keep that in mind.

Check-in clerk was very friendly and accommodating. The sink in the bathroom did not drain properly so she said she would put us in another room. There were also bugs in the room. It was on the ground floor and the windows were not locked and no screen. Once we got settled we slept very well. Breakfast was included.... Coffee juice and stale mini muffins

Room had cockroach, fire alarm covered in plastic with duct tape, empty rack where the blow dryer was supposed to be.,garbage behind headboard and mold on shower curtain and wall.

The room was dirty, with food on the floor and smelled of urine in areas. When checking in I was repeatedly asked if I had a reservation cause they didn’t take walkins and they were full. I never said anything to management to be honest cause we were exhausted and just wanted to make due and leave asap and didn't think we could get anything else if they were full. My feet stuck to the floor when checking in and the room wasn't better. Our smoke detector in our room was covered with a bag and looked smashed in, the hall way to out back smelled horrible and the wallpaper or whatever it was, was peeling and falling off. I understand this is a older place and don't expect it to be like brand new but this was horrible. I don't understand how the rating was so high thru this site when I booked it.

From the outside it doesn't look bad. The inside however was a different story. The lobby was ok. Typical hotel lobby. Nothing extraordinary about it. The manager seemed like a nice guy. He was very friendly and informative. Check-in went fine. Now, the room itself was dirty. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed properly. There were stains on the floor in multiple places. The bedside table and tv stand had sticky drink rings on them. They were definitely not wiped down very well, if at all. The bathroom door didn't shut fully unless you applied some force to shut it, and then you had a hard time opening it back up. The main room door didn't open and close very well either. I had to use some force to open it from the outside on multiple occasions. There is a stairwell in the back. We used that to bring our stuff in and out since we parked in the back. The stairwell was filthy. There was used tissues laying in the corner. Along with small liquor bottles. Wallpaper was coming off in multiple places. The stairwell looked like it hadn't been touched for a long time. This place isn't being taken care of the way it should be. It was a cheap option and I completely see why. I was glad it was just for the one night. If I'm back this way I'll try to find a much better option on where to lay my head down for the night. Even if it costs more.

When we arrived the bathroom in the room was filthy, hair black dirt etc. Then they moved us to a 2nd room that had food and bugs over the floor, then they mived us to a 3rd room that was not even cleaned, the bed was not made and there was trash overflowing in the trash can. We had no other choice but to go back tobthe first room after the front desk clerk cleaned the tub. We stayed in that room 116 were the tub drained slow. It was just horrible. The Manager, Juan when we complained the next morning could care less. Would never ever stay there again.

The bed was dirty and the lights didn’t work in half the room. Staff was watching tv when we entered and was a bit rude.

Upon check in I had to call the property while standing at the front desk to tell them I was there and waiting to check in, a lady answered and said yeah he right there. 15 min later she came walking in the front door and checked us in, our room smelling like musty wet carpet, the bathroom was dirty, shower curtain stained and mildewed, we did not get room service while we were there. The place is just gross and for the amount of money I paid I was not happy!

The manager was very helpful and always available. Issues where my key cards kept shorting out after a day(they were kept seperate from everything in my wallet) so it was annoying to have to get new ones each day. Also would've loved to have room cleaning each day. And the doors to all the hotel rooms require you to slam them hard to shut them which isnt ideal for people sleeping.

Not bad. There were very few tv channels and a few of them were glitchy. There were four lamps but only 2 bulks so we swapped them around.

Outdated furnishings. TV leg was broken and left slanted, balancing on an upside down make shift stand. Hardly any channels worked. The mattress was so noisy that it woke my family each time I shifted or rolled over.

Clean but hotel sound insulation could be improved.

Decent for the price. Only complaint I have is the climate control unit didn’t work at all. So room got real cold at night. Lady at front desk said she would note it for maitance to look at.

Overall this would be a 2.5/3 star hotel maximum. We arrived at 11pm and went inside and had to wait for 5 minutes before anyone came out. After using the phone to call the number several times. When we got up to the room we found two double beds instead of queens. The rooms were very dated. The blankets felt like curtains and the beds were uncomfortable. A light fixture was broken. The bathrooms were small but it was the back of the door that was dirty which was the problem, overall it was just not cheap enough for it to be a place to stay again with the condition of the hotel. Also the breakfast was not anything special.

There is no one at the desk when you check in. they also take care of the motel 6 next door. so if you want to check in you have to call for them to come over to super 8. we were there for 5 days without anyone to clean our room or for clean towels. we had to take the dirty ones to the desk to pick up clean ones. of course, you had to call on the phone for the guy to come back to the super 8. this also meant there was no one here on duty so any one could of walked in that didn't belong there.

This is a budget, no frills hotel. We needed one in a pinch and this fit the bill. Dingy and beaten down a bit and in need of repair - but at under $100 a night, we didn't expect much. The breakfast is coffee and muffins. at night the desk attendant splits their time between this hotel and the motel 6 next door so i did feel a little unsafe that there was no front desk attendant - but then again, we are in the middle of Hershey PA, so its probably very safe. Don't expect luxury and the price reflects it.

Staff was great got down there a few hrs before check in and the gentleman at the front desk made my check in early and painless was in my room with in minutes of arriving. The rooms were nice clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend staying there

We feel that front desk staff did a great job, especially when you consider that they were also working the motel 6 next door. Don't know how that works when it gets busy, so we felt good especially considering this.

Easy to get to. Facilities need updating and to be thoroughly cleaned. Overnight staff was not friendly at all.

I stayed for 3 nights and they never cleaned my room or brought new towels or changed my linens. There was never anyone at the front desk you had to go to the motel next door to get any kind of service. Poorly ran and poorly managed.

Arrived late, after 9pm. No one at front desk, had sign to dial "0" or go next door to motel 6. Dialed "0" for assistance, waited for desk clerk to come over from next door. Was not asked for ID or credit card. I asked if I could put the room on a different card than reserved with, was told NO. Was charged at check in and not check out. Room was extremely small, wash rags dirty and stained. Beds and pillows, were extremely uncomfortable. You could feel all the springs in the bed. Thin walls, we could hear EVERYTHING, from the room next door, All NIGHT. No one at desk in the morning for chech out, just a box to place keys.

This property is absolutely terrible. It's dirty, run down, and not at all what they claim to be online. They falsely advertised having queen beds, but when we arrived, they told us that was impossible because they only have full beds. This forced us to leave and find another hotel, and they still had the nerve to charge us for one night. The manager was incredibly rude and has a major attitude problem. It's shocking that someone like that is in a customer service job. If you can't handle upset customers when you lie, and then try to rip them off you're definitely in the wrong profession. To make matters worse, I finally found the screenshot proving that they advertised having queen beds and submitted it to Expedia for false advertising. Regardless of whose fault it was, I didn't appreciate the manager telling me how to book a room—I've booked rooms many times before without any issues. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

It was convenient to Hershey Park

Excellent location, not a busy season equates to a quieter hotel stay. Plenty of surrounding amenities (gas, groceries, places to eat). Working in the local area thru the week, have booked here multiple times because winter weather made daily long commutes not an option: saved me a long journey home and back each day.

The property wasn't far from the venue that was hosting the event i was in town for and it was affordable.

We stayed here for the proximity to Hersheypark. Nothing special, you get what you pay for. Builidng is super old and not kept up well, but room was clean and bed was comfortable.

I stayed here for three nights in January. The heat only worked half the time and the room was filthy. The sheets were clean, but instead of a fitted sheet, the bed was draped with a top sheet which moved around. There was no comforter, just a fleece blanket. They gave me a second identical blanket when I asked. Breakfast is included if you count coffee and five mini muffins breakfast. I also might have been one of two people in the hotel. I was grateful for the price but if you are squeamish or get cold easily I would not recommend.

Our stay was pleasant, clean and adequate. Breakfast was pretty "bare bones" but at least there was something there.

Phone cord was taped to handset and kept falling out. Bathroom was out dated and could have used towel hangers and shelf for bathroom supplies as one that was there was used to hang towels and was slotted so not good to hold anything else. Towels wouldnt dry well bc there so close together. A better breakfast would have been nice. Great area for it but just mini muffins and juice.

Pros: Straight 5mile ride to HersheyPark, shower has good pressure, some food short driving distance, has a small fridge & microwave in room Cons: beds are terrible (old spring mattresses that creak when you move), no breakfast (not terrible but some people expect it), smells when you enter (like old stale cigarette smoke), 4 registeree guests but only had 3 shower towels (good luck finding someone to get them after check-in), one small pouch of shampoo provided (barely enough for one head; be sure to bring!),and 1 small bar of soap When we arrived one of our rooms (we had 2) everything was unplugged; lights, tv, fridge. After being out of the room 14 hours at park, came back & none of the door keys worked. The front desk person spends their time at the Motel 6 this hotel shares their lot with so need to "dial 0" on the phone at desk & wait...not convenient
