Very weird hotel. No sign designating it as Maximillian Hotel. Check-in is on the 6th floor. My room was on the 5th floor and it was the most convoluted path to my room. Very poor signage! Employees were fantastic, but a very weird hotel building. I do not recommend,

What a find! Highly recommend. We loved this hotel, wish we could have stayed longer, restaurant menu and drinks reasonably priced. Mini bar reasonably priced. Only downside is from carpark (level 5 upwards is for guests) to room was quite a trek, and our room was the furthest one away. Also the noice from the car park renovation starting at 7.20am was not appreciated, but it won't be forever I guess. Staff were super friendly. A 20 minute journey on the tram (8) gets you into the centre of Basel, the stop is right outside the hotel. This place is perfectly situated, walk over the bridge just out the front of the hotel and your in France. AMAZING.

Leuke overnachtings hotel. kamers gedateerd. Let op! Er zitten op de zelfde locatie twee hotels. De Best Western hotel heeft veel betere kamers (ook duurder) en met airco LETOP!! Bij aankomst parkeren bg. Daarna teruglopen naar ingang parkeergarage, deur aan de linkerkant, lift naar 6e etage daar zit de receptie

Wonderful staff. Immaculate clean. NO air conditioning at this time. Difficult entry to find. You MUST use the physical street address as signs out front are totally ABSENT. Very very large room. Has restaurant on top floor. Reception is on floor six. Very very helpful staff. Very convenient to river cruises.

You book a hotel, that is located on one of the sides of a shopping mall, and they tell you there is parking available on the mall\'s parking lot free and dedicated for the hotels, you thnok "wow, convenient!". But, then you arrive and it turns out, you have to leave the car at the parking (wihch happened to be located on the 7th floor of the parking lot), have to go down an elevator 7 floors, walk with all your luggage almost 1 block of distance and take an elevator, on an oposite face of the complex, to a SIXTH floor, where the reception is located at. And then they tell you you have to walk with your bags across the restaurant, take the elevator located at the opposite side of the building\' side you came up with. And then go down a flight again to go to your room. You end up not liking this hotel at all.

This hotel is located right in the same big building as the mall and the parking lot. Hotel guest can park free on level 6 and above. Breakfast cost extra here. I just bought a few things at the grocery store in the mall. But the Wifi works good and is free. The location can't be beat. You are right next to the walking bridge to get to France, Switzerland is around the corner. One of my favorite spots on our trip.

Hotel is good, it was clean but slightly tired. I was given a room with three single beds when I had booked a double, when I asked for a double room reception said they didn't have one available (which was strange as the hotel seemed quite empty) due to this my safe was not as comfortable as hoped. The room was warm but fans were supplied. Very good wifi. Parking was easy in the shopping centre multi-story. Location is good when driving and for an overnight stay but not too much around.

Das Hotel war einfach zu finden. Es befand sich einem großen Einkaufszentrum und man konnte im 6. Stock problemlos und kostenfrei parken. Allerdings musste man erst mit dem Aufzug ganz nach unten fahren und ca. 150 m durch die Tiefgarage zum Hotelaufzug laufen. Muss man nur wissen. Ansonsten super Lage, direkt am Dreiländereck D-F-CH gelegen. Man konnte zu Fuß alles gut erreichen.

Die Dusche war night gut befestigt (es hing los). Das Waschbecken hatte ein grossen Riss. Es gab viele Spinnen mit Spinnenweb bei uns auf dem Flur und im Zimmer. Der Bodenbelag sah schmutzig aus und ist warscheinlich alt. Unser Meinung wird es night gut sauber gehalten. Wir werden nicht mehr in diesem Hotel buchen.

The hotel is situated on the 5th to 7th floor of the Rhein Center, very large shopping mall and convention centre. I booked my room in the Hotel Maximilian. The reception on the 6th floor is co-operated with Best Western hotel and it was my impression that Best Western now operate the Hotel Maximilian as well. The reception was professional, helpful and friendly. The simple double room was neat, spacious, tidy and comfortable, with a mini-bar and a kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and had a shower in the bathtub, which is a little outdated. Everything worked fine. My room was on the 5th floor and had a view towards the Rhine river over the roof of the shopping mall, with all the airconditioning and ventilation units on top. This was somewhat noisy all night if you want the window a little bit open for fresh air. There was absolutely no traffic noise. No noise came from corridors or other rooms. Quality/Price ratio was very good.

Locatie en parkeergelegenheid is prima, restaurant ook wel. De kamers zijn echter zeer gedateerd. Er is bijvoorbeeld geen airco en ook ventilatie systeem. De temperatuur buiten is ook de temperatuur binnen, en dat is in de zomer geen pretje. Kamertemperatuur in de nacht was 28 graden, met het raam open.

Staff was friendly and helpful but it is an older hotel with limited amenities and no air conditioning. Our room probably hit >35C daily and we didn’t even have a room fan. There is no screen on the windows and so you have to either keep your window wide open for some minimal air flow or box in your room. So very uncomfortable to sleep in during summer. It’s centrally located with transit access minimal walking distance and it is attached to a mall where you can get groceries, pharmaceuticals and food. Overall average stay especially if you’re coming during high heat.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at this hotel and I don’t think I would stay here again. One night, a couple in the room next to or above mine was being extremely loud while having sex, and due to what seems to be very poor sound insulation, I was unable to sleep the entire night. This made my stay quite uncomfortable, and I believe that better soundproofing or stricter attention to guest behavior would significantly improve the quality of the stay for everyone.

No Air conditioning it would be very uncomfortable if temps outside exceeded 85 degrees. However the breakfast bar was superb there is a walkway bridge to this quaint town in France a shopping mall a park on the Rhine the tram into Basel all within walking steps from the hotel.

The hotel is basic and dated but clean. Staff messed up the room bookings and overcharged one of our party for an additional person in the room mistakenly, and then was quite rude and defensive when we pointed out the mistake. The problem was resolved the next morning, but the attitude of the night staff supervisor (Danni?) was, frankly, disgusting and disrespectful. I would never stay here again

I booked one more night and confirmed with the colleague at the reception during the check in and the day before on a Saturday. However, the reception team had not communicated with the housekeeping team and all my things in my fridge were disposed. I also needed to retrieve all my personal items from the corridor. Some of my clothing was missing, which the hotel was not able to provide a new one. They just kept on apologising without resolving the issue, i.e. providing a new piece of clothing that was threw away by the housekeeping mistake. Bear in mind I realised all my clothes were threw away in a Sunday afternoon when all the shops nearby were closed. The hotel staff was thinking you should go out and buy a new piece of clothing at your own cost and time (which is precious when you are travelling), maybe some shop at Basel remained open, but does it make sense? It is a Best Western Hotel, not a small unknown hotel, this is simply far below standard and disappointing.

We had a fantastic stay at Maxamillion hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother for them. We had a slight issue with our hot water supplies no big issues, but staff sorted it out for us. Our beds were so comfortable and clean, we had a kitchen in our room with a fridge which was amazing. The hotel is in a great location, outside our hotel is the bridge you can walk over into France. I would Definitely recommend this hotel for friendliness, location, and great staff. I would definitely would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful hospitality

Gute Lage, über die Fussgängerbrücke ist man in 5. Min. in Frankreich, mit der Tram an der Grenzstation kommt man bequem nach Basel City, entlang des Rheins gute Wander- und Fahrradstrecken, auch grenzüberschreitend. Einkaufsmöglichkeit direkt am Hotel, bei Gefallen auch Restaurants. Gegen Gebühr kann das Fitnessstudio im Gebäude genutzt werden, ist aber Geschmacksache, da Decken und Wände schwarz gefärbt sind und einen düsteren Eindruck hinterlassen. Das Fitnesscenter war in früheren Jahren m. E. schöner, hatte damals auch mehr Cardiogeräte.

The hote is clean, quiet, fancy, modern in a great location. You could walk up to France and Switzerland :). Next to beautiful Rhein river and pretty park. On the top of everything it is next to a shopping mall with a big supermarket in. I enjoyed my time there

The hotel is within a 2 min walk to the tram. Also 5 min walk to the bridge that takes you to France and a 10 min tram ride to Switzerland. I highly recommend it. Shopping and dining are also in the immediate area

Check in was easy. Take the elevator to the 6th floor & you will be in the lobby. This goes for if you enter in the parking garage or from an Uber/taxi. Breakfast was very good and many options. Great bar , a there was a really nice terrace to eat on or have drinks. Staff was so nice & helpful there was a very large grocery store in the mall area which had lots of premade food & you could grab water & drinks for the room. Would definitely stay again. Location is great, you can easily get into Basel.
