B&B Hotel Weil am Rhein/Basel

Wir kamen spät nachts - und trotz voller Tiefgarage wurde uns noch ein Stellplatz mit Ladeoption fürs eAuto freigeräumt. Wir waren absolut positiv überrascht :) Danke dafür!

Das Zimmer war sauber aber sehr eng. Die Betten (2 Einzelbetten) waren sehr schmal. Hotel parken empfehlenswert, 8€ pro Nacht.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Grenze und das Zentrum von Basel kann mit der Straßenbahn erreicht werden. In der Gegend gibt es ein großes Einkaufszentrum, das Vor- und Nachteile mit sich bringt. Am Samstag war der gesamte Verkehr in der Gegend aufgrund der aus der Schweiz kommenden Käufer sehr erschwert. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, ebenso das Zimmer und die Einrichtungen im Hotel. Das Hotel ist modern und der Zugang erfolgt überall über einen Zahlencode. Die Tiefgarage ist geräumig und alles war im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen (ohne Zusatzkosten).

Stay here when visiting for the women's Euros to see England WIN! 🙂 The stay was good value and met all our requirements. The room was clean and in good order. The bathroom was also good as was the shower. Bed was comfortable, don't remember any issues. Door felt secure to lock. The air con was effective, a little gurgly but I'll take it to keep cool! The windows also still open for fresh air. The self serve breakfast for €12 was excellent value and selection, especially when wanting to get a good start to the day at non Swizterland prices! Front desk staff were helpful and polite, no issues. We didn't use any nearby restaurants but it's basically opposite some and a shopping mall type place with a supermarket and food court type place and I think a McDonald's in reasonably walking distance beyond that so there are options. The hotel is literally just after the border from Switzerland into Germany. If you are travelling to and from Switzerland be sure to carry your passport as German border patrol check. Our room overlooked the check point which was interesting to watch 🙂 therefore you are right by the tram stop so super easy to get into Switzerland - it only takes about 20mins, so well worth the price difference. Others mentioned slightly odd smell in corridors which I did notice but no idea what it was and wasn't in our room so didn't really bother me. I would happily stay here again if needed and recommend to others.

Gut und mit der Ausstattung die man bei B&B Hotels erwartet. Parkplätze an und im Haus 8€ pro Nacht. Frühstück deutlich verbessert gegenüber meines letzten Besuches. Durch die Lage direkt zur Schweizer Grenze preislich auch ein wenig höher als sonst von B&B Hotels gewohnt. Klare Empfehlung für Weil am Rhein

Stayed for one night. The staff at check-in was nice. The location is OK with a short distance to the swiss and french border. Convenient to take the tram to Basel (remember passport as the tram crosses an international border). There was a chemical smell in the room (and corridor) that was really unpleasant. There were also a near constant noise from the water pipes. It sounded like a stream running through the room. The breakfast was very basic, but the items dere OK.

Good location, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was okay for the price. The only negatice point is the slightly funy smell in the building, it seems there is a lack of ventilation.

Das Zimmer war mega schmutzig, man sah genau wo der Stausauger nie gesaugt hat. An den Rändern und hinter der Eingangstüre usw. Die Betten sind nicht bequem und viel zu schmal nur 80 cm breit. Im Bad befand sich nur ein Handtuch, das 2. fanden wir halbgefaltet in der Garderobe. Es war eine Horrornacht nie wieder. Das Hotel ist ziemlich neu und eigentlich auch schön.

Very clean. Great light breakfast buffet. Just right for a one night trip before catching a Rhine River Cruise. The docks are a 10 minute taxi ride. Room was very quiet, bed was comfy. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were good sized and functional, service was great, area is okay, tram stop just outside, everything was very clean

Sehr sauberes Hotel, riecht nach Sauberkeit. Klein aber fein. Ganz nah am Zentrum und nur 100 m von der Schweizer Grenze entfernt. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Im Erdgeschoss neben der Rezeption gibt es einen Automaten für feine Getränke und Snacks, allerdings leider nur in EURO zahlbar, keine Karte!

Check in was good. Easy to get to the city centre with a tram that stops in front of the hotel. Rooms were small and very noisy, we could hear our neighbour's telephone call loud and clear. Beds are next to the walls. Person in the room next to us snored loud and we could hear this coming through the wall. Kept us awake literally all night, we did not sleep. No reception in the evenings/nights. Would not come back here.

Super quiet. Great isolation On the down side, bed an breakfast, if you pay it.

Beetje gehorig. Vooral mensen die met deuren gooien. S'avonds en S'nachts.

Chambre propre même si forte odeur de javel, mauvaise insonorisation

La posizione dell’albergo è ottimale. Camera/bagno puliti. Letto un po’ scomodo, cuscini proprio inaccettabili. Scomodi e di un materiale che fanno sudare la testa molto. Peccato! Colazione migliorabile

Direkt an der Grenze gelegen, ruhiges Zimmer, einfaches Check In.

Der Mann, der an der Rezeption arbeitet, war extrem rassistisch. Er belästigt Menschen, die aus dem Ausland kommen. Aufgrund dieser Diskriminierung habe ich eine äußerst schlechte Zeit in diesem Hotel verbracht.

Friendly staff. Clean & comfortable hotel. Well located. Lovely breakfast. Bruno on reception was hairy but friendly! If you’re from the UK, make sure you take your passport if travelling between Switzerland/Germany.

Schneller und unkomplizierter Check-in, freundliches Personal, günstig gelegen.

Good facilities. Stayed for nine nights. Receptionist was very helpful assisting with the transportation to the airport early in the morning. We had problems with our phones connection on the morning we were leaving. Thank you. We had pleasant stay.

Wir sind eine Nacht in dem Hotel geblieben. Die Parkplatzmöglichkeiten sind sehr schlecht. Deshalb mussten wir außerhalb parken. Parellel zum Hotel gab es keine Schilder, die darauf hinweisen, dass man mit Parkscheibe parken soll. Am nächsten morgen (10.06.23) hatte unser Wagen eine Delle, weil jemand an unser Auto gestoßen ist und geflüchtet ist. Außerdem haben wir für einen Strafzettel bekommen, weil wir keine Parkscheibe hatten, obwohl es keinen Hinweis gab. Daraufhin bin ich zur Rezeption. Hier war eine Dame am Schalter. Ich hatte Sie gebeten, ob Sie die Polizei für mich anrufen kann. Ihre Antwort: Haben Sie kein Handy? und hat sich auch nicht weiter gekümmert. Deshalb empfehle ich diese Hotel auf keinen Fall.

Walkable distance to center of Basel ( 4 kms) and #8 tram gets you there and back easily.

Good price for one night. Location excellent within relatively easy walking to our river boat embarkation point, across the road is a big shopping centre and a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant

Personnelles tres gentilles et accueillantes. Parking sous sol pour moindre coût. Et bien desservie, que ca soit en transports en communs, boutique, restaurants etc. On est a 50m de la frontière Suisse. 15min de Bâle.

When searching for somewhere to stay, it would be helpful if the word “Germany” was added to Weil am Rhein and not “Basel/Weil am Rhein” The map did not clearly show the border. Having said that, I paid 45 Swiss Francs for a 7km trip in a taxi (that’s close to $90 AUD) from Basel Train Station. The taxi from Germany back to Basel Railway Station was 30 euros. I found being opposite Rhein Centre and close to some good restaurants very good.

Conveniently located in the boarder of Germany, Swiss, and France. We walk across the bridge to enter the French side. There is a shopping center across street from the hotel so there are plenty restaurants to choose for lunch or dinner.

Wie alle B&B`s funktional eingerichtet. Frühstücksangebot war gut. Lage direkt an der Grenze und Tramhaltestelle sehr gut geeignet für Baselbesuch.

It's exactly what I expected from this 3 star hotel. The room was small but clean and the location about 20 min by tram #8 from the main train station in Basel. The breakfast was good and plenty of options.

Terrible hotel. Very annoying noisy broken air-conditioning unit. Horrible breakfast with stale bread and no hot food for the price of 14 euro's. Don't know how it has got good reviews. Wouldn't recommend by any means.

Prima hotel voor een doorreis naar Italië. Ontbijt heeft ruime keus. Parkeergelegenheid met dakkoffer is minmaal. Voor de deur een plekje kunnen vinden. Volgende dag was zichtbaar dat er geprobeerd is in de dakkoffer te breken. Dus voortaan de spullen eruit.
