Stayed 1 night

We were looking for a safe, clean, quick stay while traveling through Memphis. This came highly rated as a great place to stay. Well our first room was in the same floor as a group of traveling construction workers, a few of whom were walking the hallways drunk. The room reeked of cigarettes and God knows what else. They moved us to a different floor, but this next room was absolutely filthy. Both white coverlets had brown dirt and liquid stains on them, and the AC had mildew/mold growing out of the vent. The pillows were that separated, lumpy kind of old, and were folded up tight to hide the fact. The shower caulking was all mildew and the tub had seen better days. The mold smell was overpowering but at 11 pm we just went to bed and got up and out early. We ever up waking up extremely stuffy and feeling like we caught a cold. Additionally, the windows were so dusty/dirty that you couldn't see well through them. The non-existent pool is full of rusty red liquid and is an eyesore. The advertised "free breakfast" was not available or an option apparently. Stay far away.

Stayed 1 night

The hotel used to be a comfort inn. You could tell originally it was very nice. However, it has become a little dated. You can tell it's not run by a national chain anymore. Nevertheless it wasn't nasty/terrible. I had read several bad reviews but it's not as bad as they make it sound (at least not the room that we had) but it's still not great. If you are a high maintenance person that wants everything perfectly spotless, clean smelling and new like at a national chain this would not be for you. I thought our room smelt like a basement but another member of my family thought it smelled like chlorine. The lobby and our room did not smell as fresh as it should but once again it wasn't terrible. No breakfast. There was a stand-up shower in our room and the shower curtain wasn't long enough to keep the water in. After one of us took a shower there was water all over the floor. The wood door in the bathroom appear to be water rotted so apparently this has been happening for a while. The room could use a little extra deep cleaning not just surface cleaning. The blankets looked used and worn. But all in all the beds were comfortable, the room was big with tall ceilings, there was a jacuzzi tub in our room, plenty of channels to choose from on the TV, a microwave, refrigerator and the AC worked well.

I had to book somewhere else because the hotel was very ran down. There were stains on the sheets plus more. So I basically wasted money and I am not pleased!!!
