The staff at the hotel were beyond excellent. The hotel rooms are spacious, but perhaps a little date. There are amenities all around us, but not a lot here at the hotel. The ad advertises a business center, but it is one old computer.

The Hotel is great. The only challange was finding parking nearby and at a good value which I define at less then $50 @ day. This was a challenge because my guests and I had 3 cars. I still rate it as 5 stars. Perhaps the hotel could work out a package deal with a nearby parking garage, like many places do in Manhattan.

Was told by the desk clerk, the parking lot was $40. The parking attending stated it was $60. We paid the fee, and the next morning, the front passenger side window was cracked. We were lucky, other car windows were totally either cracked or broken.

Water for shower was cold. Elevator broke on Saturday and wasn’t fixed. Maintenance isn’t always on hand. Toilet clogged really easy and it took multiple calls and and they bright and handed me a crappy plunger for me to fix it myself.

I was a little on the fence with this property. I went with it because it had good reviews for the most part. When I walked in, it was giving apartment vibes, not hotel. The room was surprisingly clean. The sofa, which is a sofabed, is not comfortable to sit on. There is no tv in the bedroom. The full kitchen is a plus. It really came in handy. There is no parking. You have to park in the lot right next door or walk blocks away to park in a pay to park lot. At first we decided to park in the lot next door to the hotel but at least 3 spots were full of glass as if windows were busted out. We decided not to park there. The lot does not have an attendant so you have to park at your own risk. The staff is friendly and attentive to concerns. I will not be returning. The parking is a deal breaker, amongst other things.

I actually experienced something horrible and disgusting. The housekeeper left a hand towel our bathroom area with ejaculation excretion on it. Not something I thought I would ever experience during a hotel stay. I asked my husband to check the towel and he too confirmed what was on the towel. Gross.

The company managing the property never answered my message. Wifi kept going out the whole time, half the lights did not work, half the dishes were dirty in the cabinet, the dishwasher was falling out of the placement. No parking unless you pay $30+ for a lot/garage or try to park on the street if you’re incredibly lucky. I left a personal item accidentally and tried calling the front desk a few times an hour after leaving with no answer, then their phone was going straight to voicemail for the rest of the day, and now on the second day they are still not picking up when I call. Overall highly dissatisfied and will not be staying here again. The room itself looked very nice, but wasn’t worth all of the hassle.

This property was nothing like the pictures! Our room had torn and discolored sheets in room one. Offered a second room which the clerk said she would check first. She apparently did not pull down the sheets. We found long strands of hairs. The matress cover was filthy. The matress itself had quiite the suprises, to say the least. We had to leave! I would not recommend this stay for anyone!

I was definitely impressed. I would stay again. I will definitely recommend to friends/ family. The Eldon is on a quiet side street in a safe neighborhood. Great location. Easy to walk to museums, government buildings. Surrounded by historic buildings. An added bonus is the Giant grocery store within easy walking distance. You can get your supplies for your room, if you plan on cooking/ eating meals in room. This hotel is super clean, very shiny and upscale looking. Rooms are huge. More like an apartment, than a hotel. I liked everything. I have zero criticism. It's a really nice place. Finally, it's a great value relative to the price of the room. I would stay longer next time.

Great location close to the expo center, stayed there several times. Good space and comfortable master bed. Minus: Extra bed could use a better madrass. TV-system is old and does not always work Heating system sounds allot. Kitchen overall OK, but not good fan for frying anything.

Overall we liked the Eldon and found it to be a very good value for the money. It was clean, spacious, and perfectly located next to the Convention Center. We were disappointed that the WIFI did not consistently work, so we needed to use our cellular hotspot to get work done from our laptops. The bed was comfortable, but for the size of the room, it should have been a king-size instead of queen-size. The couch was a little worn and sagging, but sufficed. The kitchen had all the appliance and basic dishes we needed for our week stay. It did not have a cork screw, though, so that was very disappointing. Overall, I would recommend the Eldon and stay here again.

Internet was nonexistent and front desk when staffed couldn’t help. A/c was good but loud. Street noise was surprising given 7 th floor room. Overall facilities were reasonable, convenient to convention center and priced reasonably and fairly.

A half block from the convention center. The Delegate is close and has good food (expensive). The room is decent, but dated. Lots of space for a family of four and ample space to cook and eat to save $. Bathroom is small. It is close to the metro and if you like to walk, about a mile from the national mall. There is no TV in the bedroom, and the living room TV is really small. Bottom line: if you are here to enjoy the sights and want the option to cook and save some money, this is a place for you. The staff is very nice though and I thought I heard a dog? Maybe pet friendly?

The hotel is in a good location close to subway. The room was spacious, beds comfortable. Full Kitchen with dishes. However, it is a temperature controlled building and got very hot even at night. They got us a fan and we opened windows, so it was tolerable.

We had the impression that the suite would be roomy based on photos, but the space is even more generous than expected. Easily would accommodate a small family, especially with the large kitchen and barstool seating for four. This will be our preferred location to stay for future visits to DC.

We reserved 2 rooms for 1 night. When we arrived early for check in the lady at the front desk asked if all of us were in one group. When I explained that we were, she asked if we would like an upgrade to a penthouse suite so we could all be in one place together. That worked out perfectly for us and we did not have to pay the difference between the suite and the rooms. She was extremely nice and very helpful with the tons of questions that I asked. The only thing that we did not like was the parking situation. Since they do not have their own parking garage, we had to park in the public parking on the corner. The attendant at the parking lot did not explain that we had to pay for 2 days because the 1st day ended at midnight. We were not expecting to have to pay $80 for parking.

Overall, I was happy with the accommodations. Very clean and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. The only issue I had was on the first day when I put the DND sign on my door and when I got back to my room that evening, the room had been cleaned by housekeeping. I mentioned it to the front desk and it never happened again. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This was a great place to stay for local conference center. Everything was spotless and the staff was helpful. I appreciated the kitchen, I have food allergies and have to prepare my own food. The kitchen wasn't well stocked- I had an 8in non stick saucepan as the only cooking implement. I made it work by cooking in batches. There were issues with the air-conditioning; The staff was very responsive and fixed it but it broke 2x. Overall the value for the property is great, I felt very safe and I would absolutely stay here again.

Poor communication! I had been trying to cancel for over a month. I called the property several times and they would say they would call back. I travel to DC a lot and just wanted a voucher not even my money back but now I will never book here again just cuz they didn’t know how to return calls or communicate! Very poor service!

Day time shift staff were very helpful. Early evening staff could use some more training on assisting visitors with basic info or guiding them to resources during their visits. The main day staff were great. Will stay again.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Eldon Luxury Suites--and I always wish I could stay longer. Very comfortable to have room to stretch out and access to a full kitchen. Quiet street, but good location. Desk staff was very helpful and met all my needs!

Given that the hotel is located right next to the convention center the hotel was very reasonably priced. The suite was large, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The metro stope (Mt. Vernon Sq) was just a few blocks away.

This was my third time staying at the Eldon. It’s a charming building close to convention center and many hotels and restaurants. I like having an apartment with kitchen and plenty of space. This time my daughter joined me and slept on the living room sofa bed. Great for being able to get around on foot, by bike or metro.

Great rate, especially for it's proximity to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The outside really got cleaned up since Natty Guard came and went.

Large suite, almost like a one-bedroom apartment for half the price of the large chain hotel across the street. Kitchenette well-stocked, bed comfortable, got a lot of work done in the living room area. Excellent value for the price and all of the staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.

The front desk is quite disorganized as others have mentioned. They mixed up hotel rooms and gave my room key to another guest. That person got into my room at 1am which was terrifying. As a “favour”, they gave me another room but that one had a street light shining into the bedroom (no blackout curtains) and the noise from the street was reallly loud. I hardly slept at all from both noise and fear of someone else breaking in. Ended up leaving after one night. Nighttime receptionist was kind. Daytime was dismissive and rude. I had high hopes for this hotel but was disappointed. Would recommend going somewhere else. It just isn’t worth it. Lots of other options in the area.
