Ein wirklich schönes Hotel in guter Lage. Eine sehr gemütliche Hotelbar mit sehr guter Getränkeauswahl. Wellnessbereich Top. Einzigster Negativpunkt : Frühstücksbuffet wurde während unseres Aufenthalts schon 15 Minuten vor Ende der Frühstückszeit abgeräumt. Das war nicht in Ordnung und führte zu einem ungemütlichen Gefühl.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel Badersee, 5 min on car to Eibsee or you can hike from the place. Room was small and no air-condition but they gave us a fan. Clean towels and bedding, bathrobes included for Spa. 90c Sauna with panoramic view to Zugspitze. Breakfast and dinner very good and large variety. There is a lake at the hotel area and terrace that’s overlooks Mountains. I recommend and would come back :)

Fantastic four nights at the beautiful Hotel am Badersee, which is just 4-5km from Garmisch and a short hop to Lake Eibsee. We loved everything there and would definitely like to go back to enjoy the spectacular scenery nearby. The room, facilities, spa, breakfast, free parking, and excellent staff (especially Cosmin) made our stay in the Alps a memorable one!

Our stay at Hotel am Badersee was so cozy, comfortable and memorable. We would highly recommend a stay here if you will be in southern Bavaria and we would return here on a future visit to Germany. We spent the day at Zugspitze and this hotel was the perfect location to stay after that. We originally planned to spend 1 night only, but liked the hotel and location so much that we spent 2 nights and took the opportunity to take the bus (with the complementary bus passes provided by the hotel) to visit some of the smaller neighboring towns and villages in the area (Garmisch was beautiful). A highlight of the stay was the delicious food that was served at the dinner and breakfast buffets. There was a large variety of things to pick from and it was in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake, but most important of all, the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the variety after eating most of the traditional German foods for several days in Munich. We were also pleasantly surprised by the lower $10/night parking fee as compared to parking fees in Munich. We had a wonderful time - Thank You!

We were there for one night and acknowledge the limitations of my experience. It was a fine hotel. The staff was friendly enough, the breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and the property was scenic. The room felt small and dark and left something to be desired. We did have a great Bavarian meal in Grainau, which was a highlight of the trip. If I could book this leg again, I might do Fussen or Garmisch for the Lake Eibsee day.

Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gut gelegen (Haltestellen, Fuß und Wanderwege) und sehr hübsch direkt am Badersee. Die Anlage ist zwar recht groß, doch mindert die Architektur recht gut diesen Eindruck. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und der Balkon bot zusätzliches Ambiente mit tollem Ausblick. Alles in Allem recht zufrieden!

We stayed one night in September 2024. Room 286 has a balcony overlooking the lake and the mountains. Geraniums line the deck railing. The room is beautifully designed with plenty of space for your things and it is very well lit. Above the usual care was taken with the lighting, the ceiling painted detail above the bed and the photograph mural on one wall. The best room we have stayed in on this three week trip. Dinner was buffet - it was good with plenty of choice. Breakfast is served in the same restaurant overlooking the lake. Very nice hotel.

The person on the reception did not speak well neither English, nor German, and it was impossible to understand her. Rooms were mixed up (even though I clearly discussed on the phone that best room is for the bride), instead all luggage were carried in the wrong room. No drinking water bottles were provided in the most expensive room of the whole hotel, which is ridiculous. When we called and asked to order some, we were told to go to the bar and ask for it ourselves. That was only after the person on the phone finally understood what we wanted, because again, neither English nor German was working. The rooms were clean and beautiful. Those with the view really had a great overlook over the lake.

Big hotel in beautiful surroundings of Alps. The Grainau town was lovely and in walking distance. Quite much to do at the hotel too. No AC in room. Breakfast was lacking some items / were finished already. Service was ok, but not the friendliest.

Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gut gelegen (Haltestellen, Fuß und Wanderwege) und sehr hübsch direkt am Badersee. Die Anlage ist zwar recht groß, doch mindert die Architektur recht gut diesen Eindruck. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und der Balkon bot zusätzliches Ambiente mit tollem Ausblick. Alles in Allem recht zufrieden!

Great hotel in a great location. Bus service into Garmisch-Partenkirchen in one direction and to the Eibsee and zugspitze cable car in the other was useful. Very pleasant staff.

Hotel am Badersee is beautifully located on a crystal clear, reflective pond at the foot of the mountains. Dining at the restaurant overlooking the pond was peaceful and beautiful. The food and service were excellent. Rooms were updated and comfortable. Location is excellent for nearby hiking and access to the Zugspitze bahn to take you between the Eibsee and Garmisch Partenkirschen. We would happily stay here again.

Excellent stay at this beautiful property on the lake. The spa is lovely and the lady manager was friendly and a pleasure to converse with 5/5. They also have parking on site for €10 which made it convenient

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und freundlich. Die Lage am See ist super schön. Frühstück war in Ordnung, das Abendessen haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Für einen Aufenthalt in Grainau/ Garmisch empfehlenswert.

Our stay at Hotel am Badersee was so cozy, comfortable and memorable. We would highly recommend a stay here if you will be in southern Bavaria and we would return here on a future visit to Germany. We spent the day at Zugspitze and this hotel was the perfect location to stay after that. We originally planned to spend 1 night only, but liked the hotel and location so much that we spent 2 nights and took the opportunity to take the bus (with the complementary bus passes provided by the hotel) to visit some of the smaller neighboring towns and villages in the area (Garmisch was beautiful). A highlight of the stay was the delicious food that was served at the dinner and breakfast buffets. There was a large variety of things to pick from and it was in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake, but most important of all, the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the variety after eating most of the traditional German foods for several days in Munich. We were also pleasantly surprised by the lower $10/night parking fee as compared to parking fees in Munich. We had a wonderful time - Thank You!

Ein wirklich schönes Hotel in guter Lage. Eine sehr gemütliche Hotelbar mit sehr guter Getränkeauswahl. Wellnessbereich Top. Einzigster Negativpunkt : Frühstücksbuffet wurde während unseres Aufenthalts schon 15 Minuten vor Ende der Frühstückszeit abgeräumt. Das war nicht in Ordnung und führte zu einem ungemütlichen Gefühl.

Schönes Hotel mit guter Lage, super Blick auf die Berge. Frühstücksbüffet hat eine gute Cerealien Auswahl und sehr leckeres Bircher Müsli. Aufschnitt für vegetarisch und vegan essende Personen etwas wenig. Ansonsten alles sehr gepflegt.

We stayed one night in September 2024. Room 286 has a balcony overlooking the lake and the mountains. Geraniums line the deck railing. The room is beautifully designed with plenty of space for your things and it is very well lit. Above the usual care was taken with the lighting, the ceiling painted detail above the bed and the photograph mural on one wall. The best room we have stayed in on this three week trip. Dinner was buffet - it was good with plenty of choice. Breakfast is served in the same restaurant overlooking the lake. Very nice hotel.
