Location and facilities are what make this hotel. It sits on a junction of some of the best walking routes, at the foot of the Zugspitze. If you have to pay for parking then euro 9.50 isn't excessive. Breakfast is lavish and seat yourself and a serve yourself buffet. If I have one gripe it's that room cleaning can be late in the day. Wellness area spacious separate good size pool and gym. Bus and train stops about 10 metres from the hotel.

Schönes Zimmer, mit wirklich tollem Blick auf die Berge, super Sauna, auch abends eine gute Küche, Aber die Parkkosten für Kfz von ca.10,- Euro/ Tag sind in der Tat überzogen und völlig daneben!! Das Hotel an sich ist ja schon ziemlich teuer, ob das Hotel es wirklich nötig hat, diese Parkkosten zu kassieren...? Zumal es keine alternativen Parkplätze gibt, man muss da parken!! Man fühlt sich da schon abgezockt.....

They have a great pool and awesome sauna. The breakfast is well done. You are right at the trail just outside the door to go hiking. You get local transport discount. View is awesome!! Room was average but the rest was great!!

Das Hotel und der Service waren sehr gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt: das Zimmer befand sich im Nebengebäude und man musste nach draußen, um ins Schwimmbad, in die Sauna oder zum Frühstück zu gelangen. Eine vorherige Information darüber wäre hilfreich gewesen.

Die Aussicht vom Hotel ist echt Klasse!! 4 Sterne Hotel ist es aber nicht wert.Das Personal gerade beim Frühstück war sehr überfordert und auch teilweise unfreundlich. Was ich nicht verstehen kann das es nur selbst aufgebackene Brötchen gab, für diesen Preis erwartet man frische Brötchen. In unserem Zimmer waren die Fenster und Gardinen schmutzig, haben uns auch beschwert, es ist uns versprochen worden, dass sie gereinigt werden, war aber nicht so.Die Zimmer sind Renovierungsbedürftig. Das Hotel glänzt mit seiner Super Lage, das Abendessen war wirklich lecker. Im großen und Ganzen ist das Hotel zu teuer!!!! Das man für den Parkplatz 10,50 Euro bezahlen muss, finde ich auch eine Frechheit!!! Als Service könnte man kostenlose Parkplätze anbieten.

Room was average, not very clean. Had a weird odor. Did not have an iron. Parking was also horrendous. By 7pm all parking on the premises was completely taken. No AC (which I know is common in Europe). Area around the property is beautiful. Decent location.

6 Nächte Aufenthalt. Leider ließ der Zimmerservice sehr stark zu wünschen übrig. Betten wurden nur teilweise gerichtet, Waschbecken und WC teils gar nicht geputzt, Duschspender defekt, Gläser nicht gespült, etc. Zimmer sehr stark abgewohnt, Möbel zerkratzt, Schranktüren schließen nicht richtig, Vorhang schimmelt in Bodennähe etc Wir waren 26x hier und seid 2021/22 haben die Preise enorm angezogen, nicht nur die Zimmerpreise, sondern auch Restaurant und Büffet, 2021: 19,90€, inzwischen 38,-€, Insgesamt waren wir enttäuscht und überlegen und Alternativen.

Wir waren schon mehrere Male im Sentido Hammersbach, vor allem der günstige Ausgangslage sei es im Sommer oder wie jetzt im Winter zum Skifahren. Die Unterbringung fand im Nebengebäude /Werdenfels statt, dass wirklich die besten Seiten ihres Dasein gesehen hat. Das Mobiliar ist tatsächlich in einem derart schlechten Zustand, dass man die Befürchtung haben muss, mit dem mitgeführten Werkzeug, Hand anlegen zu müssen. Das Zimmer wurde während unserem gesamten Aufenthalt kein einiziges Mal gereinigt, lediglich die Handtücher wurde auf Verlangen getauscht.Aber an diesem Zustand könnte man sich noch arrangieren. Das Schlimmste empfanden wir die gastronomische Seite, von bayrischer Kochkunst kann hier keineswegs die Rede sein. Die Halbpension wird lieb- und leblos dahergebracht, als sei man in einer trostlosen Kantine gelandet, aber Preise wie in einem 5* Etablissement. Das Hotel ist beispielhaft wie für vieles in unserem Land. Kein Fachpersonal, nur angelernt…, zu hohe Preis etc, etc. Also wenn sich das Management des Hotels weiterhin auf diesen Fahrplan setzt, fährt, dann befürchte ich auch, dass ein weiter so auch schnell beendet werden kann. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig. Die Zimmer sind groß. Wir hatten ein Zimmer, das dringend renoviert werden müsste. Insgesamt ist das Haupthaus abgewohnt und bedarf einer gründlichen Renovierung. Das Frühstück ist gut und die Auswahl am Buffet groß. Für Ausflüge und Wanderungen ist das Hotel perfekt gelegen.

The renovated rooms are good, the non renovated ones you shouldn't offer for that price (they are old, look cheap and a lot of broken things are in the room). We booked a renovated room but first got a non renovated one. Had to complain and then could change the room. In the renovated room the W-LAN didn't work and wasn't fixed within 3 days, beside that the service was good. The location is very good and we really liked the breakfast.

The room we were in was quite dated and did not look anything at all like the pictures online so that was disappointing. It was clean but no windows besides a door that went out into a patio, the room temperature was quite uncomfortable. The walls were very thin and the family next door had a screaming baby and that made it very hard to sleep. The hotel looked lovely online but we did not get the room that was advertised. The area around the property is quiet and seemed residential. Nothing was within walking distance. We did not try the restaurant.

Schickes Hotel mit tollen Ausgangspunkten für zahlreichen Wanderungen . Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Schwimmbad das wir nutzten . Das Zimmer ist allerdings in die Jahre gekommen. 90er Jahre schick ist nicht zeitgemäß. Laut den Fotos auf Expedia wäre es auch deutlich schöner . Also da bitte bei der Buchung die Erwartungshaltung runterfahren . Demnach stimmen preis Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz überein . Trotzdem ein gutes Hotel fürs Wochenende auch mit Familie !

Read the other reviews - they are false advertising their rooms. The room and bedroom pictured will most likely NOT be what you get. Pros Close to train/hiking Pillow Cons Room not as pictured Room received had very gross stains - cracks, etc. Parking is a nightmare Way overpriced

Bra läge. Utmärkt frukost. Rummet i varmaste laget (kyla hade varit trevligt). Omedelbar närhet till järnväg med tutande tåg var såväl charmigt som störande (inga tåg nattetid som tur är). Vi var på genomresa och hann bara me en kort vandring...

Some staff members were most knowledgeable & helpful. Unfortunately this could not be said for all staff. One receptionist was seemingly unable to speak English. The cleaning lady who was very friendly spoke good English, begs the question why someone behind reception @ a 4 Star hotel was seemingly unable to speak English, although I have the impression she just didn't want to!

Amazing day! The staff was the best part. We asked for an ice machine, but they don’t have them at hotels in Europe. A very nice staff member immediately helped us and ran and got us ice for our water bottles for the day. Went out of his way. Amazing place to stay!

Tolle Unterkunft, direkt am Zugang zur Wanderung durchs Höllental. Vor allem die Servicekräfte machen dieses Hotel zu einem besonderen Aufenthalt. Danke für die netten Azubis beim Frühstück, selten wurden wir so herzlich willkommen geheißen!

The front desk person was Asian and didn’t understand English. He advised our rooms were adjoining but I don’t think he knew what the word meant. Also find it crazy to pay for parking at a hotel where you are staying.

Im großen und ganzen war alles gut Nur der Check in war am Anfang eine Katastrophe! Anscheind ist etwas bei der Buchung falsch gelaufen, weil wir mit Hund da waren. Der Rezeptionist war eine Frechheit! Ohne wirklich was zu machen hat er uns mehr oder weniger wieder Weg geschickt, und er erreicht keinen den er sonst fragen könnte was nun zu machen sei, da sie kein Zimmer mehr haben mit Hund. Wir sind erst mal gegangen, nach einem Telefonat mit einem anderen Kollegen war dann alles kein Problem und wir haben unser Zimmer bekommen - Gott sei dank. Aber der erste Angestellte war eine bodenlose Frechheit!

Wonderful property and a fantastic location within the area. Easy access to the train that goes to Garmisch as well as the Eibsee and Zugspitze. Not as busy of an area as Garmisch which we enjoyed. Great amenities and restaurant.

Wir checkten ein als Paar. Es sind insgesamt 3 Häuser [über den Keller miteinander verbunden] Das Haus in dem wir untergebracht waren, war zumindest auf dem Flurbereich, Eingangstür Zimmer usw. etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer selbst waren schön. Ein schöner Poolbereich und ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und liegt am Fuße der Zugspitze. Leider war kaum etwas in der Nähe, kein Geschäft o.ä.

Wir waren schon mehrere Male im Sentido Hammersbach, vor allem der günstige Ausgangslage sei es im Sommer oder wie jetzt im Winter zum Skifahren. Die Unterbringung fand im Nebengebäude /Werdenfels statt, dass wirklich die besten Seiten ihres Dasein gesehen hat. Das Mobiliar ist tatsächlich in einem derart schlechten Zustand, dass man die Befürchtung haben muss, mit dem mitgeführten Werkzeug, Hand anlegen zu müssen. Das Zimmer wurde während unserem gesamten Aufenthalt kein einiziges Mal gereinigt, lediglich die Handtücher wurde auf Verlangen getauscht.Aber an diesem Zustand könnte man sich noch arrangieren. Das Schlimmste empfanden wir die gastronomische Seite, von bayrischer Kochkunst kann hier keineswegs die Rede sein. Die Halbpension wird lieb- und leblos dahergebracht, als sei man in einer trostlosen Kantine gelandet, aber Preise wie in einem 5* Etablissement. Das Hotel ist beispielhaft wie für vieles in unserem Land. Kein Fachpersonal, nur angelernt…, zu hohe Preis etc, etc. Also wenn sich das Management des Hotels weiterhin auf diesen Fahrplan setzt, fährt, dann befürchte ich auch, dass ein weiter so auch schnell beendet werden kann. Breakfast is great, amazing location to some great trails and get free bus passes for the days you are at the hotel which is very convenient. The property itself was great though would not want to stay there during the heat of the summer as there is no fans or A/C. Supposedly accept VAT forms but failed to do so and the gentleman at the front desk when I was checking out didn’t even know what I was talking about. Delayed while he searched for the paperwork for about 20 minutes. Paying the taxes was not the issue, it is I was told they accepted the form to remove the taxes and they did not follow through. Overall, would I tell people to stay there, yes! Just set your expectations and enjoy!

We reached hotel and we have been told that the lift is working and after carrying our trolley bags to a different building through a tunnel , we got to know that the lift has not been repaired. We had to carry our suitcase to the top 2nd floor via stairs and no support was provided to provide accommodation in the building near to reception. Easy train to Garmisch. Quiet and staff were so friendly and helpful. They even had stamps for sale for our letters and postcards. Breakfast was excellent with a big variety of foods, even an omelet/egg station. Train to Eibsee/Zugspitze is a mini block away and takes you right there (train passes provided to us as part of our stay). Great experience and would return
