Newly-Built Family Retreat w/ Private Heated Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna, Game Room

My issues started immediately after I booked and made online payment. I was so fascinated seeing beautiful pictures of hot tub and pool that I did not think twice booking it. Immediately after booking, host asked me to deposit security to a random phone number by Zelle. That phone number was not listed anywhere in listing. Contacted customer service who recommended not to transfer money by zelle & informed they are not responsible for any money transferred through zelle. Given it was a chilly weekend, we requested host to check their hot tubs & pools in advance. We were assured that both are in working condition prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, hot tub temperature was set at 88 F & water was lukewarm and heated pool temperature was set at 77F. Pool and hot tub temperature control was not in our control and was regulated by host’s husband who told us that it will take 1-2 days before temperature of pool will pick up. Out of our 3 night stay, hot tub and pool issue were not resolved until night prior to exit. All communication fell on deaf ears of host. To make things worse, host only partially refunded our security and claimed that we caused damage to pool which we used for only 20 minutes as pool water was too cold. Host had a camera in their backyard facing outdoor pool. There were no signage posted about camera anywhere and it felt like privacy invasion. This experience really has put doubt in my mind to book houses in future and rather go for hotels only.

We had a lovely time at the house! Open floor plan on the main floor, plus an area upstairs and downstairs with couches and tv. Hot tub was a treat for the kids after skiing nearby!Tip: either plan to wash towels for use or pack some extra for the hot tub

This was my first stay using Vrbo and my family had a wonderful time. The home was beautiful and just as pictured and Amy was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and provided perfect check in directions. Would definitely recommend!
