Super 8 by Wyndham Long Island City LGA Hotel

Those travelling with others in wheelchairs be warned the entrance does not offer a ramp or handicap assessible entrance; nor is there an elevator to the 2nd floor. Please call ahead to make special arrangements with management if you are in need of accommodations. Desk clerk was very helpful and considerate; however this hotel could not suit the needs of our party and I needed to go to another hotel.

Solid, no frills experience. We had a one night stay and the only issue we had was when our card key stopped working. The front desk clerk fixed it immediately. Easy parking was greatly appreciated.

Good place and safe but the only problem was Wifi that is not available in all rooms.

There was no wheelchair access. No coffee unless you go to lobby 6-9. The bathroom was nice .

!!! BED BUGS !!! Do not book at this hotel it is infested with BED BUGS, there is no manager and the front desk person was not concerned about the BED BUG situation.

Last minute trip into New York for a funeral and ended up staying at this establishment. I understand it’s a super 8 but room was dirty, no shower curtain, and bathtub was black. Stains in sofa, lamp shades, and walls.

had constant key card issues. my room was infested by bed bugs and we didn’t know we were infested until after we all came back home to find bed bugs in our suitcases. the hotel is denying all plausibility and saying that we have no proof, but that is untrue. BED BUGS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE

I reserved a room for a few nights based off of reviews I saw on Expedia....my mistake. The reviews on Google are more accurate. Please do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. The entire place smells like smoke and the shower didn't work in the room that we were given. I reached out to Expedia to ask about the refund policy after we checked in and they told me to hold so that they could speak to the front desk staff. As soon as they got off the phone with her, she came to our room, banging on the door, yelling "why didn't you tell me there was a problem?!". We told her our issues and she gave us the room next door. Once we were in there (and extremely upset), we decided to just book another place. The second room also smelled and we didn't feel comfortable with any staff having access to our belongings (especially since we overhead the front desk woman talking about us to the cleaning staff while switching out our keys). After two calls to Expedia and one to the hotel itself, there will be absolutely no money refunded, despite the fact that we only stayed for less than an hour out of our 3 day reservation. Stay away from this place. The staff are rude and the hotel is nasty.

The tv wasn’t working. Everything was dirty as if they didn’t clean in months. Certain things didn’t work.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I was supposed to have a 3 night stay, but checked out after 1 awful night. There was NO hot water at all. The bed had only a sheet and a thin blanket. Worse of all, I was bitten all over by some sort of insect. No mosquitoes or flies in sight so my concern is it was some sort of fleas or bedbugs. As of now, the manager has still not gotten back to be about a refund.

The carpet was so dirty, that my socks would turn dark after minutes of walking on it. The towels were also dirty. My whole family got acne and spots on our faces and bodies. I’d never ever recommend this hotel to anyone who values hygiene even a little bit.

Average rooms for the price. Good deal. Simple.

The room was small and outdated. They had the most uncomfortable bed and pillows.

Staff was cordial. Room was good for the 3 nights we stayed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Quiet at night. The area was walkable and conveniently located to numerous food, bars and other locations. No issues experienced.

The colorful room lights are amazing. The staff very friendly. My only feedback for improvement Would be to include more towels in the bathrooms, and for the televisions to have the option to connect to the Internet or to other apps.

Great location with nearby shops and restaurants, yet on a quiet corner. Rooms have been updated.

Staff were polite and helpful, facilities basic but room was excellent size and comfortably slept 6 people. Location is good as not far from Manhattan. Main point is dont think it should really advertise breakfast included as all that was available to eat was yogurt and cereal bars. More choice would have been nice.

this was my worst hotel stay thw front desk indian guy that says he is the super was shouting at me. when i called if thwy have internet in my smart tv he started bringing me to every room available to check every tv just to prove me wrong. he also told me to leave and give me a refund but then continued to tell me to call hotels .com for me to get a refund he rudest person in the world

Everything was very good. Nice people that helped us a lot with good informations and a very warm reception. We love to stay at Super 8. I recommend it to everyone who wants to be very close to Manhattan with several supermarket options, public transport and restaurants around.

The hotel could do with an update / repaint and the breakfast option was only pain au chocolat with coffee or juice (rather than all the options shown in the photo).

The one employee present when I arrived seemed overworked, with several people waiting and a street person looking for a free room. The key machine was not working. He gave me a non-working key and said he would come to my room and let me in with a master key. I went to the room and waited a long time. Went back downstairs where another employee had appeared and gave me a working key. The carpet was pretty disgusting. Had big dirty blobs that looked like chewing gum. Carpet had dirty, dusty areas surrounding the furniture legs. There were liquid spills on table surfaces that had not been cleaned. Hotel description online said there was a free breakfast. When I went to the breakfast area in the morning, all I saw was a coffee pot. When I asked where the breakfast was, the lady brought out a handful of small plastic packs of crackers. That was it. For $200, I was expecting at least a clean room. Glad it was only one night.

I like everything. Where it’s located, friendly staff, the parking. I alway stay here when I’m visiting family and the city.

Very convenient for what I do when I come to NY

Clean, quiet, typical basic hotel. Close to restaurants and subway. Suggest to the quiet Socrates Sculpture Park which is nearby.

Great location for a family trip to NYC. The hotel is not in the best condition, but since we were just wanting a place to crash at night, this was not a problem. And this was the cheapest place by far. Great value as it was about a half mile walk to a train that would take you into Manhattan.

It is in a not-safe area and dirty surroundings, far from the main NY attractions. The carpet flooring could be improved.

Need more energy at reception - fortunately, the cleaning staff were very friendly. Small room suited us well for our short stay, clean room and well-stocked supplies, walking distance from Costco and the shops at Broadway, Astoria, adequate parking, safe area with many food options in the nite.

The room itself was a good design, although maintenance was serious needed in some aspects. The shower was full of fungi and I didn’t even attempt to use it. The smell was awful and it smelled like drugs everywhere except in the room. There were a lot of people smoking and doing drugs in the area, and it didn’t feel safe at times. A lot of cold air came in through the windows and it didn’t look properly insulated.

They advertised breakfast with fruits, bread and other. In reality all I got is yogurt cups, orange juice. Seriously ? How dumb do you think visitors can be ?

The only pro for this property is that it is accessible to Manhattan and LGA airport and has an onsite parking available. It says breakfast avaialble but the breakfast is just coffee and yogurt.

You get what you pay. After flight delay Super 8 was available. Bathroom was dirty, and carpet was filty. Breakfast was a joke. Yogurt and granola bar, only options.

Very disappointed with my stay in this property, breakfast supposed to be included but its not, we had to by our breakfast outside, then the rooms are terrible and the carpet dirty. the only positive point is the free parking for subway station not too far from the hotel location.

The price was great for NYC, but the hotel was stinky. It is very old. It had trash and a used bar of soap left in the room. Breakfast was very little. They had cups of yogurt and nature valley granola bars.

Bathroom was patched together including holes in tub. Walls were broken in room. Contextual breakfast was a joke. Coffee tea and a chocolate muffin thing
