The hotel room was spotlessly clean, a good size, 2 comfortable single beds, great shower, coffee/tea, 2 bottles of water, the staff were very nice, a great hotel in a great location, a few minutes walk from Liverpool one, concert square, Mathew street etc, i would stay here again

Ideal location right by Liverpool one, staff we met were nice and helpful and welcoming, we were on the ground floor windows are wallpapered over so couldn't see out, I did feel it could do with paint job on woodwork. Cleanliness of the room was ok not great just ok not sure I would stay here again but location is perfect staff perfect just room bit of a let down

Great location, very helpful reception staff. Interesting old building, some style but rather dark. Lights in room were bright, however it would have been nice to have dimmable ones, and proper blackout blinds. Bed was huge but mattress a bit soft for me, and pillows/sheets had seen better days. Nice little shower room, but sink v small and nowhere to put toiletries.Water pressure and temp control in shower a bit strange but got it to work Unfortunately the floor was flooded after using shower, more of a "wet room".Bathmat only provided on one day of my stay. The noise from the restaurant downstairs was a bit disturbing late on Saturday night, and heard a lot of creaking footsteps on the stairs and floor above, although the hotel was nicely quiet most of the Being an old building it doesn't have double glazing. The biggest issue with the room was that it was so hot.The heating was off, but even with the fan provided (which was obviously a bit noisy) it felt very stuffy.I wouldn't stay there at the height of summer. With a few tweaks this hotel could be very good.
