La Quinta by Wyndham Houston - Magnolia

Over all great place. Hated that the pool was unusable!!!! Felt like a hot sauna. No ventilation Couldn’t breath in the pool room. Front desk said everyone complained about that but that they couldn’t do anything about it! Corporate reall needs to fix that!!!

I stay in a lot of hotels for sports travel, including other La Quintas, and this one was particularly bad. The room was in terrible condition. Very worn and outdated. Drapes torn to shreds, carpet and linen replacement way past due. Large floodlight all night on one side of building. Lots of traffic noise. Almost every piece of equipment in the gym was broken, it might as well have been closed. I do not recommend.

My husband and I are handicapped and the elevators were broke. We had to walk up to the third floor with all our luggage. We were not notified till the night before and could not make other arrangements.

I booked based on that there was an indoor pool. Once checked in POOL IS CLOSED for maintenance for some good length of time. Inoperable pool. The room was nice size but the Air conditioner could not cool the room properly. The Continental Breakfast was a plus waffle maker, A variety of items, and hot items.

Need to update equipment in workout room.

Check in was good, friendly staff and fast. Elevator was broken, having the carry luggage up two flight of stairs and not having AC in stairway nor hallway in 101 degree weather in Texas not good! Room was clean. Breakfast was included! The apple juice that was put out has fruit flies all inside container, husband told staff and then replaced it but did they not see when they put it out in the first place??? After paying 168 for one night, I was disappointed… and we will be booking elsewhere next time we are in the area.

Chose this hotel for its indoor pool and saw it built. No one can use the pool!!! There is no ventilation it the room is like a sauna. It’s so hot you can’t relax outside the pool. Ask if they could make the pool room cooler they said there no way. Front desk said everyone complains about that! You would think corporate would fix that!!

We have stayed here several times, and twice the elevator has been out. There were no rooms on the first floor available. We were never offered a discount, just the option to cancel

The worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life. Bad smell, broken elevator—I had to carry my luggage up three floors. They kick you out at 11:00 a.m. The worst place in the United States. Absolutely terrible.

The room and property were okay. The door to the room had a big gap around the door, which made it hard to open and close. It was a big enough gap the light shined through from the hallway at night. I found medium length dark hair on the bed, probably from the maid. The staff was friendly, and the near by restaurants were okay. For the price not a bad place to stay.

It was clean and everything was great until our last day. A huge roach ran out from behind toilet.

The property was clean, but the bathtub in my room was very stained and looked gross. I would like more options for breakfast.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The property is very dated, and the conditions were unacceptable. Our first room on the 4th floor was infested with roaches, and the entire floor had a strong odor of urine and mold. We requested a room change and were moved to the 2nd floor, but that room was overwhelmed with the smell of bug spray, making it equally uninhabitable. We ended up leaving the hotel and were told we would receive a refund due to the situation. However, we are still waiting for that refund to be processed. The only good thing I can say is the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend staying here based on our experience.

Cons: fold out sofa was in terrible condition (springs poking out of mattress). Had to ask for the sheets and pillow even though our reservation clearly showed we had 4 occupants. Blankets given had HOLES in them.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is location. Room smelled like pet. Low quality sheets, pillows and mattress. Door does not fit opening. You can look out into hall so very noisy. You can hear everything. Terrible experience!

The internet was really bad and could not access things on the phone or computer.

The location and building were fine. Parking a bit tight. But the 2 issues we had were the water in the shower kept making a high pitched whine then would shut off and slowly come back on, also lost hot water off and on. Reported to front desk but didn't see any help also elevator is a bit slow and some of the noise made us a bit concerned.

Excellent customer service. Acceptable breakfast. Generally just got the coffee. Bed was perfect. Very clean. Tub was unsafe to stand in. I will definitely come back next trip.

This was a horrible stay. With intent of staying in a Wyndham as I enjoy the rewards and usually a pleasurable stay. I WFH and WIFI did not work for my 5 day/4 night stay. I asked if their business center would be an option for better connectivity. I was pointed to a monitor at the front entrance. So, my first day I had to work in a McDonald’s. The next 2 days I had to use my personal phone as a hotspot. This is not conducive to holding multiple teams calls a day. My last day I had to go back to McDonald’s. I asked everyday if this is a typical problem. They told me that their security cameras didn’t even work…not my problem. They blamed a storm which wasn’t until the second day of stay. I was told Spectrum may come Thursday or Friday (4th and 5th day) I asked Thursday. I was told they weren’t sure if they ever came. To top it off, we couldn’t watch movies, couldn’t use apps. This is impossible for a stay that’s just short of a week. Next, the breakfast. The pourable eggs had been microwaved to a pulp. It was not edible. The only upside was they had fresh fruit. But, impossible to cover a full meal. I would never recommend this hotel if you need access to a computer, phone, phone call over wifi.

It was good, the a/c unit made a lot of noise

The room was clean and the bed was so comfy we took a picture of the brand so maybe we would could find the same mattress. Bathroom was a good size. The air conditioner work well but didn’t look like it was hanging on the wall very good. The pool area I didn’t like very well. It really needed some tlc.But all and all it was a good stay. And the staff was very friendly.

What we didn't like was the bed and pillows were not comfortable, the shower ran out of hot water and the water pressure was low, and the breakfast was very lackluster. Thankfully we knew of a great breakfast place lol

Front desk and staff were very warm and welcoming! I really appreciate that as well as their hard work and attention to detail. I have been to this property a few times and have had repeated experience. When I visit Magnolia this is where I like to stay. Thank you!

In my search parameters, I put down that I had a party of 5, and the search results indicated that the king suite would work for me. We arrive, and the room has only a king bed and sofa. I asked the front desk worker for extra blankets and they argue with me that the room is only for 3 (no argument there) and extra blankets cost more. Because it was late and my 30 minute argument was only going in circles, I accepted the $60 for the extra bedding and left after the first night of our 2 night stay. The front desk person assured me that my 2nd night was canceled and would be refunded. That did not happen and I'm on the hook for 2 nights for a 1 night stay and $60 extra for blankets because their listing is flawed. Finally, Expedia support got involved, but claim that they could not do anything about this. I expect more from Expedia when I run into this kind of trouble. Completely unaccepted experience, with extremely rude management having zero interest in the satisfaction of their guests. The property was also in disrepair (no surprise). Avoid this one.

Very comfortable & excellent customer service!

Most of the people were nice, but the night shift wasn´t helpful. The bathroom was old and had stains in the bathtub and toilet. The room had a musty odor. The chair had a ripped seat

The check-in was very slow, the girl was going to give me a room on the first floor but after 25 minutes I got a room on the second floor.

We booked La Quinta Inn & Suites Magnolia, TX through Hotels.com for our company crew. Our superintendent arrived early to place a company card for incidentals and clearly told the front desk our workers were on night shift and would check in Tuesday morning. Despite that, the reservation was canceled without notice. The associate “Riley” was rude and dismissive, citing a 2:00 a.m. cancel policy—even though we had documented late arrival. When we asked for a manager, Riley refused to share a name or contact and told us to “call later.” Our crew was left without rooms after a long shift. This was unprofessional and unacceptable. We expect an apology, refund/credit, and corrective training. Until then, we cannot recommend this location.

The hotel was close by to many places we needed to go. There was a lot of construction going on the main road, but the hotel was great.

Room and hallways were very quiet. We had a room by the elevator which was relatively quiet in the room. The elevator was very slow and noisy in the car. A negative is a dumpster to an adjacent restaurant that smelled terrible and had a group of buzzards around it.

They appeared to be in the middle of remodeling or updating some areas. The breakfast was very limited in choices. Close to restaurants and shopping but can be difficult to get in and out of parking lot, major very busy road.

Excellent location for fine dining. Construction around property. Room was sanitized and clean. Housekeeping was helpful. Enjoyed our stay although water pressure was low this is on my list for returning.

Older hotel but recently refurbished. Breakfast was good. I am a fan of the waffle maker. I did not use swimming pool or exercise room so I can’t comment of that. Our room was clean. King bed was excellent. Spacious room

Super clean, comfy beds, yummy breakfast they had so much variety to choose from, good WiFi connection for laptops, my family also enjoyed the indoor pool except it has a strong smell of chlorine because of the heat but it was clean all over. Staff was also very nice.

Without a doubt, hands down worst breakfast of any hotel I have stayed in for the past 10 years. Two cooked items only and they were cold. Cold scrambled eggs and cold meat. This place shouldn\'t be allowed to advertise "breakfast included".

The hotel was clean and front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was terrible, and the worst thing was there was no paper cups for coffee and food, options were very limited and the toaster/waffle maker was not available at all as they only work once at at a time and took 2 min each time per guest.

2nd time staying here. First was in Aug 2024. Had a better experience in Aug 2024. Breakfast options between the 2 stays was better in Aug 2024. Really disappointed this stay. Left and went elsewhere for breakfast. Everything else was fine.
