New, updated rooms. Very clean, fresh smell/no odors, friendly staff. Affordable, close to Colgate University. Easy on/off roads to the college. Decent eateries nearby. Breakfast option at the hotel is not good. Nate's Place nearby is great though. Elevator works ok but gave us some issues getting to the 3rd Floor a few times.

As I have shared previously related to my stay at the Red Roof Inn in Norwich NY, the owners have done a great job refurbishing the facility and the rooms. On this trip, a couple of things that were of concern: (1) The elevator was out of order, therefore carry luggage up the stairs was a challenge and, could prove very challenging for someone who is disable (permanently or temporary). So, if you are planning a stay and do need an elevator, call before you go. Fixing this elevator should be #1 priority of the hotel. (2) It appeared as if they have started having homeless individuals stay at the hotel again. I base this observation on a room near me and the occupants and some individuals hanging around the hotel. Other than the elevator, my stay was good.

Clean newly renovated rooms, staff was unobtrusive but available. Room was quiet, everything worked - coffee maker, small fridge, A/C, safe, TV. Hotel is locked except for front entry - not locked down tight but people don’t wander in and out either. 4 EV chargers available in back parking lot. On Main Street in Norwich village - Walgreens across street for incidentals. Overall a good solid no frills-ish but not depressing place to stay.

Lounge was closed and used as storage. Pool was empty. Lights out in the stairways and no fire alarms or smoke detectors. Shady people drinking in parking lot out of paper bags. Building needs work in general.

Expedia ad said free breakfast. No breakfast offered. Not even coffee. Another ad said swimming pool outside. Pool under construction. Shady area of town where a murder occurred recently. Not impressed.

The property was under construction. There was no breakfast (a few grab and go items). An old elevator and a pitch black stairwell were the only way to get to the upper floors, which doesn't seem safe. Back entrance was blocked off for construction, so only 1 way in and out of the property. Handful of local folks roaming around the property. It felt a bit sketchy, though the staff were very nice. Not to mention the rolling beds...new flooring is laminate but the bed frames are on wheels. We made the best of it.

The floor was a faux wood with no carpet. We thought this would be cleaner than carpet but after about an hour of being in the room, we looked at the bottom of our socks and they were black! So dirty! The sheets had stains on them. We felt grossed out the rest of the night and looked forward to the morning so we could leave the premises.

There was hair in the shower and ants on the floor. Rooms looked updated on the inside. Had fridge and microwave. Breakfast was a small cup of OJ and a prepackaged muffin or granola bar.

Overall stay was very good! However, TV wasn’t working properly, picture was of POOR quality and wouldn’t shut off. Had to put credenza away.from the wall to unplug the tv so I could sleep. Might I suggest staff check televisions when turning over room for next guest?

Appears property was recently renovated. I asked to be on the first floor close to the lobby when I made the reservation. The room provided fit that request to a "T". Definitely recommend this motel for a stay

The room keys shut off every 2-3 days. We were staying 9 nights so needed to go down to the front desk to get them re-programmed. As we were coming back late at night, this was extremely inconvenient. There was no parking in the front of the building so we needed to park in the back of the building and walk all the way around. Again, being very inconvenient and especially late at night in an area that was not well lit etc. The first room they put us in just filled with ants. They needed to move us and the second room as well. We finally settled into a third room, but it did not have a kitchenette that we paid for. The maide staff only serviced the room one time when we were there. Each day we would have to go down to the front desk to get clean towels and then empty our own . I was extremely unhappy with the customer service I received.

Property was clean and staff was friendly. Didn't feel safe while in the parking lot and no real security to keep anyone from coming in and going up the elevator of the hotel. Would be better if they had a place to get a hot breakfast and not just yogurt, fruit cup and muffins.

Hotel was definitely older. No restaurant on premise, looked like there was one at some point. Our door to the room had to be pushed hard to ensure latching. Our tv lost service constantly and had to be rebooted over and over. One morning I had hot water in the shower, the next morning it was luke warm at best. Outside door on one side of the building wouldn’t close so anyone could have entered. Room was nice, although bed was very hard. Hotel was central to restaurants and shopping.

The proprty is dated but seems to have been under some renovation. The room was small but clean. There was continuous rain so the flooring felt damp. The shower had minimal water pressure. Breakfast was pre-packaged loaf slices, juice boxes and coffee requested through "slips". Skip the lemon and go for the pumokin loaf slice.

We stayed one night and it was comfortable. The place has been renovated. The price was good, with breakfast included with the stay, but its a to go bag with choice of muffin or granola bar and apple or orange juice.
