Lovely little mom and pop hotel. Staff was very pleasant and the included breakfast was wonderful. Only negative comment is that there is no elevator. However, the hotel is only two floors and the stairs are wide. Staff offered to help with suitcases.

The lobby and dining areas are very beautiful. We had dinner and it was delicious and affordable. It's not near much so you have to drive. There is some graffiti just outside but no other signs of it being a bad area. Our room did not have AC, but the one window that opens seemed to be enough. It's about 45 minutes from the Dublin airport.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in the Ardboyne Hotel during our first visit to this area and were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel and our stay. The room was really comfortable and warm, despite being a room set for 5 when we required just a double room. We found all staff that we encountered to be polite, friendly and very hospitable and were a credit to the Hotel management. Having intended to eat in the restaurant on our first night only, we enjoyed the dinner so much that we ate there on each of our three nights. The food was very good with a good selection of options. We loved the bar area and the comfortable seating in the lobby and corridor adjacent to the bar. At the rear of the hotel is a very pleasant and well maintained garden with additional seating for those warm and dry days. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Navan and its surrounding area and we look forward to another visit in the near future!

The staff were very welcoming. The room was clean and very comfortable. Had a quick bite to eat at the bar and food was very good and bar staff were great. Finished our stay with our included breakfast and were very please with the options and the waitresses were wonderful. Would recommend especially if visiting Newgrange site.

A nice place to stay - an old property with a few things that need fixing. The dining room needed a good clean - didn’t look like a cleaner had been through for a while as the floor was dirty. Good location in regards to finding the property and it was quiet. Nice gardens.

Clean Recently refurbished top class hotel and a twin room at least today was half the price of the hotel up the road the newgrange and in my opinion this is a far better hotel. Not many shops around my only gripe

From the minute we arrived, we knew this would be a very pleasant stay. The reception area was bright and the staff very friendly. The cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was from a menu, with cereal, yogurt, croissants etc on a self service basis. Outdoor seating area was very much appreciated on a very warm evening. I hope at some stage to return to this excellent hotel.

The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was good. The hotel is clean but very dated - the 80s are alive and well in the Ardboyne Hotel. No HVAC, the king bed was two twins with a very pronounced, unfixable, and uncomfortable split. The tub/shower was shaped like a small canoe, making it difficult to stand in and the water was tepid at best without a serious struggle with the faucet. For the price, it was not a good value and was quite disappointing.

Hotel was nice. Needed some updating and our window looked out onto a center area with a ladder and lots of noise of other rooms came in. The room was super hot so could not shut the window to shut out the noise.

Not sure about this hotel being 4 stars - I may have just been in one of the older rooms that need some maintenance - but actually I’m glad I was there. The rooms have a good amount of space, good sound proofing (had some noisy neighbors that you could here in the hall but not once in the room), loved the complimentary filtered water in the glass carafe. Breakfast is good and staff is friendly. The restaurant is very good with reasonable prices. You don’t even need a car to stay here if coming from Dublin. The bus drops you off close to the hotel. Also, was a brisk 18-20+minute walk to the main town where I went twice, for dinner and to catch the bus to spend the afternoon at Trim. This is a great location and great choice for staying in the Boyne Valley.

An indoor room with a window looking out into a corridor, dull lighting, felt a bit dingy. Second morning at breakfast had to ask for: toast, tea, cutlery. Ordered posched eggs on toast - only one side of bread was toasted! Admittedly we were the last in for breakfast but no one else needed serving and there were about 6 staff on.

Kept getting phonecalls to confirm my stay. Told this is what all hotels do. First hotel I stayed in that did this (and Im in different hotels 3-4times a month. Breakfast offer was poor. Fruit was, sliced melon, Prunes and grapefruit. Was a full Irish if you wanted one but Im not one for that

We booked the Ardboyne hotel last minute for a trip! When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the hotel was for the price and last minute booking. The room was clean and spacious and the facilities were great. I had an incident when I was leaving where I injured my thumb and the hotel manager (I think! We didn’t quite get his name) helped to calm me down and cleaned and dressed my thumb to allow me to go on with me day! He really couldn’t do enough and I can’t thank him enough! Overall it was a lovely stay topped off with incredible service

We had a very pleasent 4 night stay at the Ardboyne. The rook was comfortable, the staff were good, the breakfast was excellant and the location of the hotel; as a base for touring the Boyne Valley, was very good. Only downside was that the hotel decor felt dated and needed modernisation.

We stayed for one night in what was a last minute booking. Check in was simple and straightforward. Initially we were given a room with a bunkbed which was unsuitable for our needs. We were quickly given an alternative room which was much more suited. Breakfast however was a major disappointment. I ordered a full Irish breakfast unfortunately the fried eggs were very overdone. The bacon was the opposite sausages of a poor quality meant that I couldn’t bring myself to eat the breakfast. The toast was nice though mind you.

Lovely staff and good breakfast. Lively with a couple of big groups. Only downside was the dinner - one veggie option which was basically onion curry with what tasted like madras sauce from a jar. I appreciate it was Sundaybut a large hotel should be able to do better than this.
